Absolutely love it! The staff is amazing the food is top cuisine at affordable prices you wouldn’t believe. Everything is made from scratch. There are CHEFS! Sherry works the front desk and Nancy are such a delight. I would recommend anyone I love to go here and i myself wouldn’t mind it one day either. I work here occasionally and visit my grandmother as well so I feel like I’ve seen and been in every position to be able to look at the place from the inside out and the food is really so good I mean I can not stress that enough. They also do group trips together often they have happy hour and they play games they have beautiful dinning rooms. It gives fine dining and exquisite cuisine all the way and with the chefs and the best people running the show makes me happy. Everything is a breeze and every day is bright Ps: sherry and Nancy go above and beyond for every single person i can not stress that enough please give these god sends a raise and a free vacation or something they definitely the deserve it and I hear everyone talking about how much they just absolutely love them and Nancy she goes and visits everyone door by door every single day. You can’t get better care anywhere else it’s truly a beautiful place with beautiful people

I have had the opportunity to assist in making dreams come true in being able to ride a horse again for 2 of the residents at Waltonwood via their adventure program. On both occasions, I have been blown away by the team at Waltonwood making each adventure both very special and also very personable for each resident. They truly went above and beyond, made the residents day (or year!) and I'm so very glad that my horses and I were able to be a part of that! Such a great, caring team and amazing residents!

Waltonwood Cherry Hill - Highly recommend! I wanted to take a moment to recognize Renee and thank her for the outstanding support she provided during my mother’s (Jacki) transition into memory care. From our initial tour on 3/25/26 through move in on 3/28/26, she was consistently professional, patient, and genuinely compassionate. This kind of transition can be emotional and stressful for a family, but Renee made the process feel much more manageable. Her communication was clear, her attention to detail was evident, and she took the time to answer every question thoroughly. Why Waltonwood “Cherry Hill? If you’re thinking about considering the possibility of entertaining the notion of maybe checking out some retirement facilities, what criteria (besides vibes) will you apply to make a decision? Here’s a handy checklist, the one my wife and I utilized when we were scoping out candidate-places in Wyoming, Arizona, and Michigan: (1) the staff; (2) food; (3) safety; (4) commodious apartments; (5) amenities; (6) activities; (7) location; (8) does it hug you? Let’s examine these, in alphabetical order: (1) ACTIVITIES. At Waltonwood, you have dozens of choices “ from card playing and bingo, physical exercises with a trained leader, movies, TED talks, arm-chair videos, hikes in the woods, craft projects, and others. The best component is that no one knocks on your door and yells everyone out for volleyball. Every week Management hands out a list of goings-on, but there’s no pressure to do any of them. (2) AMENITIES. Waltonwood has two comfortable libraries; a genuine movie theatre (three or four films a week); a billiards room; a fitness center with nine machines; two lounges, an arts&crafts room; a wine&snack room; a furnished guest suite, two well-maintained, interior courtyards; and its own post office. (3) COMMODIUS APARTMENTS. Waltonwood offers 10 different apartment models. All of them have a living room, a kitchen with up-to-date appliances, one or two bedrooms, one or two large shower-bathrooms, and a balcony for those on the upper floors (patio doors for those on the first floor). Just about all of us have had to downsize, and we want to feel like we have adequate space. In a few facilities we visited the living spaces felt claus-trophobic, but at Waltonwood, your apartment is a comfortable home. There are full-time, helpful maintenance employees to make repairs plus a housekeeping crew to clean our apartments bi-weekly. Both are part of the package. (4) FOOD. Your rent includes breakfast and dinner, and you have ample and nutritious choices every day (lunches are available for extra). Other facilities we visited provided three meals a day, but residents whom we interviewed complained that they felt chained to the building all day long). I am one of the world’s pickiest eaters (ask my wife); during the tours of the dozen or so retirement facilities we visited, I invariably asked the Head Chef if he or she could accommodate my culinary peculiarities. Most said, Sorry, not possible. The Head Chef at Waltonwood answered no problem! She has kept her word. (5) HUGGABILITY. Some real estate agents ask their buyer -clients if a house they are checking out hugsthem. That’s the vibes criterion. Buyers who answer in the negative never buy the house. Analagously, some retirement facilitiies you might tour will turn you off or feel creepy according to whatever standard by which you judge a place you have never been before. Our family toured this community as an option for my grandmother for memory care. Our tour was very impressive. Everyone was friendly and the apartments were spacious. The life enrichment program was extensive and the residents were all engaged. The menu looked delicious as well. My grandmother ended up moving near my uncle in another state but I would highly recommend this community. PS: the cherry pie they sent us home with from their pastry department was amazing

I've been in over 2 dozen senior living facilities. Waltonwood Cherry Hill has the best activities, entertainers, and performers month after month. The food in the dining room is restaurant quality. When I visit, it has the feel of a vacation resort or a cruise ship. There's always something interesting happening at Waltonwood Cherry Hill. And the the building itself is beautiful. The staff’s response to the COVID pandemic shows how much they truly care about the residents. They have jumped through numerous hoops to maintain resident safety while keeping everything as normal as possible. During the isolation period of the pandemic last year, they had staff members put on a talent show that residents could watch from their balconies to raise everyone’s spirits. You can tell that the employees really do consider the residents part of their family.

The current Director and staff have done an exceptional job in keeping families informed and up to date since COVID restrictions took hold and they've devised creative activities to keep residents engaged yet safe. THIS IS PART 2 OF THE REVIEW BY GARY WEISSMAN When we moved from Wyoming, we were sure we wanted to live in Ann Arbor. Half- way between Ann Arbor and Detroit, however, Canton is serendipitously handy. Our dentist and dermatologist are in walking distance from Waltonwood, and a physician or nurse- practitioner will make house calls. The beautiful Canton Township Library is a seven-minute ride, and the recreation center is a literal stone’s throw from the library. Major grocery stores and big box stores are nearby, as are parks and bike trails. If you don’t have wheels, Waltonwood provides jitney bus service to any place you want to go within 10 miles. (7) Safety. (a) No one from the outside gets into Waltonwood without signing in at the concierge desk and having his or her temperature taken (during Covid, anyway); (b) each Waltonwood resident is issued a panic button to wear as a bracelet or necklace; c) There are no bathtubs (no one can fall); d) Neither smoking nor guns are allowed anywhere on the campus; e) Management assigns each resident a key to lock his or her own apartment, and all employees are trained to respect residents’ privacy;. f) Each apartment has a red buttonfor the residents to push each morning, just to let Management know that we’re okay. (8) Staff. Staff is last in alphabetical order, but note that it holds the first position in the paragraph near the beginning of this essay setting forth the eight criteria. All of the other seven criteria lack vitality and stamina without the right staff. The Waltonwood staff (they like to be called associates) are caring, competent, 4 energetic, good-humored, and exceptional. Before I retired, I was an employment law attorney, and I came to know how difficult it is for any business organization to maintain an inner harmony among its workforce. I am continually, pleasantly surprised at how well the gears mesh here. The staff have been selected precisely because they have the right personalities to be able to respond affirmatively and cheerfully to the needs and requests of over 100 unique, senior citizens. The associates and managers are well trained, and they consistently bend over backwards to make life as comfortable as possible for residents, seven days a week. (9) Price.. Of course there is also an unlisted, ninth criterion: Price. Everyone has to balance the advantages of each possible candidate-place with one’s ability to afford it. With Retirement facilities, one should remember, you really do get what you pay for.

I wanted very much to give Waltonwood a five star review. The staff & young people that work here definitely deserve 5 stars. However the management here deserves 2 stars at best. Between issues with maintenance & mistakes on our bill each month I am unable to give more than 3 stars. It's a beautiful facility with excellent activities for all residents. The grounds are lovely & well maintained. The dining room is beautiful with an excellent staff. I am very happy to have my Mother living here but I am extremely disappointed in the management staff of such a wonderful facility.

Both my parents and my mother-in-law currently reside in independent living at Waltonwoods and I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. All of the workers are friendly, respectful, and caring, even when my mom is challenging to deal with. The food is good, the place is always immaculate, and the activities offered are great! All 3 of my parents did not want to go at all but now love it and have made good friends. They have also worked closely with us, doing everything they can, to try to keep my mom from needing to go to memory care at this point. My husband and I can both see ourselves being happy there at some future point in our lives. I cannot see how people have given it bad reviews. We highly recommend it!

My mom is a resident at WW Cherry Hill Independent Living. She will be there two years in December. Waltonwoods is a wonderful place to reside. My mom has adjusted to her new home so well, thanks to the awesome and attentive staff, exceptionally kept environment and lovely apartment, professionally prepared meals, and abundance of activities. In two years there hasn’t been one day that I have left there worried my mom isn’t in a great place. I know everyone there sincerely cares about the residents. From the front desk, housekeeping, food service, maintenance, life enrichment staff, van drivers, helping hands staff, and those in the business offices behind the scenes. I am so inspired when I visit mom and I see and speak with other residents well into their years. It’s great to see them all coming and going, involved, maintaining as much independence as they can and knowing this is all happening in such a safe environment. I know I sleep better at night having my mom closer to where I live and knowing she is living a life where she is no longer isolated in a home where she doesn’t see people on a regular basis. Hopefully having a better quality of life as a Resident of Waltonwood Mom will be able to spend these later years with enjoyment and freedom in a safe environment. We can’t THANK YOU enough Waltonwood Cherry Hill Staff. You are all AMAZING!!
