As the 2021 Detroit Free Press winner of Best of the Best, I can say since April of 2023 when I found Waltonwood Carriage Park for my mom, it's still the best of the best! My mom finally understood that she could not live alone & moved in December 2023 to the Assisted Living level of care. Mom is very happy. She lived in Plymouth & wanted to stay in the city so WCP is a good fit. The Executive & Pastry Chefs are a good fit for me when I take a meal with her With weather challenges, it's nice to share a meal with her & the friends she has made in the very short time she has lived at WCP. Everyone can choose to be busy like my mom with four scheduled activities every day. My mom loves that her day begins with exercise & often doesn't return to her room until just before dinner to freshen up! I have peace of mind that my mom is happy & in an environment that provides her appropriate oversight, choice & challenge. PS. Thanks to our new Chef, Fran & the staff (shout out to Jake!) for making the Easter Brunch on March 23 a beautiful event. Get ready for next year, I'm sending a shout out to Mom's nieces & nephews to join us. Can't wait for the egg hunt!

My mother in law lives here. It's very safe, kept clean, good food, beautiful apartments, cleaning services, laundry rooms and plenty of activities for seniors. It's a bit pricey but it's lovely and she enjoys living here very much.

Waltonwood Carriage Park Is a great place to work. I've worked here for over 15 years. My co-workers are wonderful. The Managers are very supportive. And I love the Residents who live here. Their always giving me advice like "Don't ever get old." I would reply "I'm trying my hardest not too."

Waltonwood Carriage Park has a very strong activities program with lots of fun things for the residents to do - like bingo, lunch outings, cider mills trips, weekly live music, top-quality arts & crafts, gardening, scavenger hunts, theme parties, and trips to the casino! But the best thing about Carriage Park is that it feels like family.

I have been working at Waltonwood since 2007 and I have I really loved working with our residents, families and staff. It feels like my second home with the extra bonus of gaining several new grandparents that I never had growing up. The residents all bring me such love and joy!!! To see the smiles on their faces and to hear their stories just warms my heart every day!!! The staff here a Carriage Park works very hard to uphold our "Family" motto of respecting and taking care of our residents as though they were our very own family members!!!

I've lived at Waltonwood for 21/2 years. The staff here is caring and friendly. We had no I've lived at Waltonwood for 2 1/2 years. The staff here is caring and friendly. In a lockdown during the pandemic (we had no cases of Covid) they made sure we had things to keep us busy. Now that we are free to get out again, we have many activities planned in and outside of Waltonwood. Residents here are friendly also. We are like family.
