Overall, I am very happy with the care and experience of my parents has been at the Renaissance. I am grateful of Maya, Marsha, and Ava, and Letticia. I apologize if I have misspelled any names. My mom is now on hospice and everyone has been very helpful as we go through this tough time. I do think you should offer more choices for the memory unit. My mom moved there to give her more care. She is very with it but often said all the food is repetitive. I have been there a lot lately to help care for my mom. Everyone is great and will try their best to help me help her. I am glad I convinced my parents to go here years ago as in general, it has been very good experience. I really appreciate Laura who does the devotions and she has been great lately with my mom's final days upon us. I also want to mention TJ…her adopted grandson and his mom(I'm sorry I forget her name) but she came by the other day with her dog. It is good to know my mom is well loved and has been taken care of well overall.

Would not recommend. The nursing staff, aides and therapists were great. The administrators are difficult and unhelpful. I will never recommend them based on my experience.

There's always a teaching moment for me to learn and the staff are very genuine, thank you.

Was here on a Saturday at 4 o'clock and the building was well staffed and spotless. The person at the front desk was wonderful and welcoming. Can't say enough good things about the staff and even the security, which at most places is lacking at best. It apparent that leadership runs a great facility. Keep up the great work!

I enjoy the walking trails, Independent Living options for activities and the great food and flexibility of the meal plan. The Fitness/Aquatic Center are clean and offer group or individual activities. Many of the residents are longtime Westsiders but not cliquish.

Beautiful campus so I was pleased with our decision to have my mom be admitted to the skilled care unit. Unfortunately there was a lack of communication between the managers and the staff. My mom had end of life congestive heart failure and kidney failure. The management team had a nice plan laid out for my mom's care but it was not communicated to the nurses (agency most likely). Because of their negligence, my mom was admitted to the hospital on mother's day. My mom was shaking so bad when the family came to visit her. Her blood sugar was over 600! They wanted to wait over an hour to see if her sugar level would go down. That is dangerous as she can go into diabetic shock. I told the nurse no way, she needs to go to the ER now! The diagnosis at the er was high potassium and she was septic. Just also want to mention that one nurse gave my mom a banana the night before for her night snack. My mom had kidney failure...who would give a kidney failure patient a banana?! Also, the one stna didn't want to do her job so she let my aunt and cousin bathe my mom. Another complaint is they had my mom in the hotest room. She's on oxygen and had a hard time breathing in there due to lack of air flow. I had to buy a fan to help! Absolutely disappointed in their staff on the skilled unit.

Best decision my husband and I have ever made. We had looked at 12 different places and kept coming back to the Renaissance. The two things we have really enjoyed are the programs and our outstanding food.

I have made the Renaissance Independent Living Apartments my home for over four months. I did an extensive search before choosing Renaissance. There are many reasons why I am so comfortable here. Ill list just a few. Tho located in a mostly residential area and very close to Great Northern Shopping Center, the grounds (which include three connected ponds) are country like and very well maintained. I have a small dog, and we enjoy the dog park which far exceeds any I have seen at other retirement communities. The residents and staff are very friendly and try to make everyone comfortable. The activities on and off campus are numerous. Very important to me was the location and layout of my apartment. I love it. Last I will applaud the chef. The food is delicious.
October 2020
I have been here a year and have been very satisfied. The staff and residents are all very friendly and helpful. I am a vegetarian and have had some problems finding food to suit my tastes. It is sometimes difficult to get things repaired in a timely fashion. Otherwise I am very happy here.
September 2020
Nice place. Maintenance need more workers so wait time is in at least a week Would like to see necessary updating to main bldg rather than spending on an unused pool. Dining is exceptionally good as is transportation.

April 2020
My grandfather resided at the Renaissance and was not only taken care of tremendously but loved! They are truly a family there, employees and residents. Thank you for the amazing care. Gramps adored you all.
April 2020
I have lived here for 9+ years and appreciate the helpful staff! All have been accommodating and often go above what is requested. The food is prepared on site with multiple entrees every day. Dinner can be delivered if requested - no extra charge - and as often as needed or wanted. A campus bus will take people up to the dining hall if they dont live in the apartments. There are many activities for a variety of interests as well as a number of clubs headed by residents. I particularly enjoy spotting animals such as deer, squirrels, groundhogs - and the mink that lives nearby. In spring, the ponds attract a number of migrating waterfowl, including some rarely-seen species. The campus is beautiful, especially when in flower. The best part is the security that I feel now that I dont have a separate house to maintain. Light house-keeping once a week, yearly deep cleaning, meals available every day, repair work inside and out as needed...The list can go on and on. Am I glad I moved here? Absolutely!
March 2020
Leaves congregate every day o our porch in large numbers. We would like some way to get rid of them.. The amount of food that is breaded is excessive .
February 2020
I love working with all the residents here at The Renaissance. It is like having an extended family.
June 2019
I have worked at the Renaissance for quite a while now and I am very happy here. I have worked at several other facilities and have been very impressed with both the care provided and the expectations set forth by the administration of this facility as compared to others in the area. I feel more appreciated as an employee here than at any other place I have worked-we have had food trucks come and provide us with lunch to order paid for by the facility, we have catered holiday parties (the food is delicious!) with gifts given to staff, we are given gift cards when we go above and beyond our job requirements-we recently even had an East Coast Custard truck come and provide us with free ice cream! I have expressed concerns and made suggestions to administration and HR, and I feel that their doors are always open and that my concerns, suggestions are heard and taken seriously. A lot of my suggestions have even been implemented. The Renaissance fosters a strong sense of teamwork that of which I have not seen elsewhere in healthcare. Employees across all departments work together for the benefit of the residents. The residents are always put first and that is why I continue to work at the Renaissance. I am a proud member of the Renaissance team and hope to continue in this capacity long into the future!
