My father has been in/out of the rehab facility several times after several hospital admissions and discharges to the rehab facility. We were impressed enough that we subsequently moved him into the assisted living facility across the hallway. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and willingness to help provided by the administrative side (Hanna/Taylor/Erica) Anytime I needed something they were answering their phones, going out of their way to find solutions to problems and showed a genuine care for my father's well-being. Unfortunately, he had to be placed into hospice but once again this team was there, stepped up and referred us to a great place. I highly recommend going here if you want the best for your loved one.

Village of the Falls is far and away the best facility in our area. I chose VoF after touring multiple facilities when my mother needed rehabilitation following surgery. The therapists were so kind but firm while helping Mom regain her strength. The rehab space is bright and very well equipped. Mom's health, unfortunately, began to decline and she chose to remain at Village of the Falls as a permanent resident in skilled nursing. The pricing is in line with every other facility in our area. Her nurses and aides were excellent! They cared for her as if she were their own mother, which was comforting as we weren't able to visit on a daily basis. I especially appreciated the communication between the staff and my mom and family. Every need was addressed. Every question was answered. I also appreciated that VoF transported Mom to and from her doctor visits. This was very helpful in our situation and I would meet Mom at the doctor's office. Village of the Falls is a beautiful facility. It's clean and bright. The library is a relaxing place to sit and read or to gather with friends and family. The dining room is spacious and so is the family room. They offer many fun activities every day, too! Mom's room was fantastic! It was bright and cheery and VoF allowed us to bring photos, knickknacks and Mom's own artwork in to display so that Mom would feel more comfortable. She loved it! We all loved Village of the Falls! Administrator Heather Johnson is absolutely wonderful and so is her staff! My family and I thank each and every one who cared for my Mom during her six month stay! Take my word for it: Village of the Falls is the BEST!!!

My father stayed here for over a month after leaving the ICU. He was in the ICU due to incompetent care at another facility. I cannot speak highly enough about the care and support that he was provided at Village of the Falls. The staff were pleasant, respectful, responsive, and showed a genuine care for my father. The facility was always clean and my father said the food was very good. I wish that he came to this facility first, because he never would have almost lost his life due to the negligence he experienced with the previous service provider. Thank you all for helping him on his road to recovery.

My Dad was a resident for 10 months in the skilled nursing facility at the VOF. I truly could not ask for a better group of people to take care of my dad for his final year. From the administration, activities director, and most importantly the aides and nurses, he was truly loved and found a second family there. No nursing home is perfect and there will always be things you want different because it is your family. However, when compared to other facilities this place is top of the line in my opinion. A very clean facility with some of the best workers I have ever met doing a very hard job. If you are looking for a place your loved one can stay and you can rest at night knowing they are being taken cared for correctly, this is the place for you. The compassion and caring my dad received and the care the entire facility gave he and I during his last days will never be forgotten.

I was a little apprehensive about going to nursing home right from the hospital! This being said, I must honestly say that this nursing home exceeded My expectations. This place was clean, cozy, comforting, and an extreme blessing to me! The nursing staff were professional, Caring, And friendly. You got the sense that they really cared about you and your health. Accolades go to the supporting staff in their kindness and their friendliness and their concern for your health. The OT and the PT both have an exceptional program in order to get you home quickly. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs short term skilled nursing. By the way, the Meals weren’t too shabby! I would highly recommend Village of the Falls To anyone who needs short-term skilled nursing! Thank you to all of you for a job well done!!!

Village Of The Falls was a great help to our family during a time of stress and crisis. My mom needed a temporary SNF after spending a week in hospital and before we could get her into assisted living in Columbus. Heather walked me through EVERYTHING I needed to know and made the experience as stress-free and as comfortable as possible. Misty met with me in person and spoke with me on the phone several times while helping me navigate all of the ins and outs of getting my mom's medical needs situated. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the staff here and the time and effort they took to get my mom back on her feet. They taught me almost everything I needed to know about advocating for a loved one during a very difficult time.

First one is to realize rehab facilities are facilities and not home. However, certain criteria should be observed even in facilities. This facility is understaffed. Having observed the operation at various times of the day, it seems to wane in the afternoon. Meals are never delivered at appropriate temperature. Most are cold. Nursing is highly undesirable as my family member had certain needs the nursing staff never monitored very well but were stellar at pushing pills, which is not always the best option. My family member upon discharge had pneumonia, which the staff never monitored or observed I took them immediately to the hospital. You must be vigilant over your family care. The rehab here is undesirable. It's a one size fits all and they have little room for change. My family member did not receive the rehab they needed. The rehab staff by in large were cocky and rude and unprofessional. Nursing complained alot as I observed staff complaining that they are not this that or the other thing and they are tired of fetching this that or the other. Walls are thin people. Family are not stupid. I gave two stars only because some of the aids did do their job satisfactory. In the over all picture do your homework in selection of a facility. Nice facility but if you need intense nursing care or legitimate rehab look elsewhere.

**UPDATE*** my Dad is home now after his rehabilitation, this facility was nothing short of amazing, it is by FAR the best facility; from the building to the employees. If my dad ever needs to go to a skilled nursing facility for care again this will definitely be my choice, thank you to every single person at Villiage of the Falls for the outstanding care! This review is completely honest and straightforward based on my experience to help you find the best establishment for your loved one. First of all, let me say between my mom and my dad combined they have been in at least a dozen different skilled nursing/rehab rehabilitation facilities from Barberton, Akron, Stow, Tallmadge , Wadsworth and Cleveland. I have seen the worst of the worst, my dad is currently at this facility. Prior to choosing Village of the Falls for him I researched places for at least two hours and this facility was highest rated within an hour from his home. I was skeptical even with all the positive reviews, but chose this facility not having high expectations. I was still expecting mediocre at best. I can honestly wholeheartedly say this is by far the cleanest facility I have ever been in. I was shocked when I walked through the doors at how spotless everything is and there are no bad odors unlike many other facilities. I then thought that maybe it was just the lobby area that was pristine to impress visitors, so I went through the double doors down the hall and the same cleanliness and high standards are throughout the building. The rooms are spacious and they look more like a bedroom as opposed to looking like a hospital or nursing home room. The rooms are extremely clean,there is no peeling and everything is beautiful.. My dad even has a mini fridge in his room. There are a lot of amenities at this facility and tons of different activities for the residents to take part in. The physical therapy room is very clean and is plentiful with various equipment for rehab patients. The equipment looks new and in great condition. While, in my dad‘s room, we had to press his call light so he could use the restroom, this is where I was expecting an hour wait time. Many other facilities that I have had experience with the call light goes unanswered for an extremely long time. To my surprise, someone was in his room within 10 minutes. The employee was very nice, helpful and caring. I asked my dad about the food, my dad is a very picky eater and he said the food is actually decent, that means a lot coming from him. I was also able to bring my dad drinks and snacks. So far, I am extremely impressed with Village of the Falls, they have exceeded my expectations. I know choosing a facility for a loved one whether short term or long-term can be extremely difficult, so please believe me when I tell you that this facility is excellent. I hope this review makes your choice a little easier, and if anything changes during my Dad’s stay , I will be sure to update.

I couldn’t ask for a better place for my mom and her last days of this earth!! Village of the Falls and all of its staff are amazing, compassionate, caring, lovable, efficient and effective!!! Starting from the top the director Heather, admissions Misty, office manger Lauren, all of the nurses, aids, the cleaning staff everyone are completely fantastic!!!!! I went to Village of the Falls after suffering a broken leg. It is truly a wonderful place to recover. The nursing team is top notch. The aides treated me with care - almost like I was family. The dietary staff does an excellent job. The food was delicious, and they were so good about meeting preferences and special requests. The administration was welcoming, responsive and helpful. It was never a problem to have questions answered. But the shining star for me was the rehab department. I can truly say I enjoyed my daily rehab appointments. They helped me work hard to attain my goals, and I was able to go home much sooner than I anticipated. If you or a loved one needs rehab care or assisted living, please tour Village of the Falls. Choosing them will put your mind at ease.

We moved our Mom into her Assisted Living apartment in February 2021. She also utilized the rehab side post injury and ultimately moved into her long term care room about a year ago. The location of the facility allows for great views of nature. Our Mom regularly talks about the birds, squirrels and deer! If we have a concern it is properly addressed. Most of the aides are very kind, patient, and attentive. Mom calls them her other kids! Misty was our first point of contact and remains involved and accessible - we really appreciate her! I recommend Village of the Falls to other families.

I moved my mom into assisted living at Village of the Falls in 2019. The first room we looked at, her response was: "OH! I love this room!" It had all the amenities she needed - windows with a view; bedroom; living area & kitchenette with a refrigerator & freezer large enough for her beloved ice cream. The staff took excellent care of mom & enjoyed her sense of humor. When it came time to move her into a secure memory unit, because of the care she received at Sprenger Healthcare Village of the Falls, it was an easy decision to move her to a Sprenger memory care facility. I'm confident mom will continue to receive exceptional care at her new home as she did at Village of the Falls. I can rest assured knowing she is in good hands.

My mom came to skilled nursing at VOF about a year ago after a number of hospitalizations and rehab stays at several other facilities. I knew she’d need to go into AL after she rehabbed, and I had been looking for a place where she could transition to AL. This all took place during COVID, so you can imagine the frustrations and fears I had going into this process. Sure, there were staffing issues during the ongoing pandemic and, sure, I was frustrated at times. However, in the long run, looking back, things at VOF have been pretty darn good for my mom. Their PT team and nursing staff made a huge difference in my mother’s rehab, and she’s made an amazing recovery and is now happily residing in the AL section of VOF and walking again! When there have been issues, the executive and nursing staff were very attentive to them. Things might not have been fixed immediately, but they were definitely fixed or they’d continue to work on the issue until it was taken care of. The staff at VOF regularly listen to the residents’ concerns and make any improvements that they can based on that feedback. We appreciate this aspect of VOF. The activities coordinator does an excellent job of engaging the residents and plans great social events and outings. Bottom line is that there is no 100% perfect care facility, especially during a pandemic, but VOF does a great job, and my mom is genuinely happy and well cared for in her AL apartment. The nurses and aides are wonderful and make her feel at home while caring for her daily needs. And, they’ve done an excellent job of keeping the residents safe from COVID outbreaks, and they continue to stay on top of that, even with the numbers dropping drastically. The skilled nursing side is brand new with beautiful homey decor, and the AL side is freshly renovated and also very homey, and the entire facility is very clean. Additionally, the AL rooms are quite spacious compared to the other AL places I had looked into. I cannot tell you how stressed I was about finding a permanent place for my mom, but I could not be happier with the decision to have her move to Village of the Falls. For reference, I waited to write this review because I wanted to make it as honest as possible and not a knee-jerk reaction review of being happy or displeased right off the bat. After almost a year, I can honestly say we're quite happy! Thanks Kate, Misty, Angie, Elizabeth, and all the rest of the staff at VOF for taking such good care of my mom!

I highly recommend Village of the Falls. Let me tell you why. I’m extremely picky on cleanliness. Now some days are better than others. Nothing is perfect. The staff, Wow, so caring. This isn’t a big place, hence easy to treat us as we should be. (Hope I don’t run out of room) pt mean business. Can’t get away with a thing. The nurses here are real sweet. I feel like I’m their Mom so I get the best. Misty is a sweetheart. I know when she’s coming down the halls because of her hi-heel clicks! Many of these aides here go overboard for us. Village if the Falls now has a skilled nursing/rehab facility. This was our first experience with them. My mom stayed there for 2 weeks, she was one of their first patients. Mom was very happy. And we have several other stays at different places to compare, where she was not happy. Staff is attentive and friendly, the facility modern and beautiful. Mom now has an assisted living apartment. I'm so glad we found a place, where mom can have her independence, get the help and care she needs, and after a hospital be able to have rehab with people she knows as the staff works in both areas.

Such a nice place. One thing that is easy to over look but one should be mindful of is the views a resident would have at this location. Being in a wooded setting one can see the seasons change and the wildlife thereof very peaceful. I remain impressed with their professionalism no pressure at any time everything is a client centered patient-centered experience. The residents seem genuinely happy they have amazing activities director that keeps people engaged. Also there's a really cool music room on the second floor.
