I visited Coral Oaks Assisted Living this past week and was impressed by how warm and welcoming the community was. Everyone was friendly, engaging, and genuinely interacting with the residents. There was a full schedule of programming taking place throughout the day, and it was wonderful to see such great resident participation. The culinary team ensured that the dining experience was outstanding, with excellent service and attention to detail. Heather, the Health Services Director, and Sue, the Executive Director, were both readily available to answer questions and provide helpful information. Their leadership and commitment to resident care were evident throughout my visit. Overall, Coral Oaks Assisted Living left a lasting positive impression, and I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, active lifestyle, and dedicated staff.

Making the decision to move my grandmother from the home she had loved for over 50 years was one of the hardest decisions our family has ever faced. She was worried about leaving behind everything she knew, and we were worried about whether she would truly be happy. Six months later, I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From the moment she moved into Coral Oaks, the team has treated her with so much kindness, patience, and respect. Every team member goes out of their way to make her feel valued, cared for, and never like she’s an inconvenience. Those little moments of compassion have made all the difference. She absolutely loves the variety of delicious meals in the dining room, and one of her favorite things is having so many social activities and opportunities to make friends just steps from her apartment. Instead of feeling isolated, she now has a full calendar and a wonderful community surrounding her. The biggest gift Coral Oaks has given her is peace of mind. She no longer has the constant stress and responsibilities that came with maintaining a home. Instead, she can relax, focus on her health, enjoy life, and spend her days doing the things that truly make her happy. As her granddaughter, seeing this transformation has meant the world to me. I’m so incredibly thankful to Coral Oaks for giving my Memaw her happiness back. Watching her smile again, make new friends, and truly enjoy this next chapter of her life is something our family will always be grateful for. Thank you to the entire Coral Oaks team for treating your residents like family. Your compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed.

A big shout out to all of the directors and staff for the great care and sacrifices they made to get thru Hurricanes Helene and Milton! This team of professionals always go above and beyond to help the residents and to keep all of the family members informed. My mother has been a resident in Independent Living for over 10 years now (she will be 99 in Nov). Dave, Amy and all of the Coral Oaks team are great to work with and take excellent care of the facility but most importantly the residents. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment!

My parents and I first visited Coral Oaks about a year ago. We had so many people, residents and employees, warmly greet us. It's a year later and I visit about once a month and I know many of the employees. They are as awesome today and when we first visited. They are so very kind and helpful. Hurricane Milton just went through the area and I felt that they took very good care of the residents. Their communications with family members during this stressful time was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend Coral Oaks, goodness, I would live there! Most of all, I trust them with the care of my parents. I hope you find this review helpful

My mother lived in the Independent Living area at Coral Oaks for three years. She enjoyed her time there, made new friends, and when any of us family members visited her, we were always impressed by the warmth, cleanliness, and comfort of the place. There are many activities and services available; and the common areas, the grounds, and the pool area are highly attractive, where one has the feeling of being in a resort. The staff were always friendly and helpful. As an added bonus, they even have an apartment unit you can rent out, which can be quite convenient when visiting a loved one there. I’d always felt relieved that she had found such a place for her senior years. Recently, I made the trip to Florida to help in my mother’s transition to the Assisted Living side of Coral Oaks. Sadly, she passed away during that process which, needless to say, made it a difficult time for me. However, the staff were extremely helpful, providing support as I dealt with a number of newly urgent matters. This was particularly true of the Independent Living Assistant Executive Director, Amy. I'm not sure how I would have gotten through it all without her guidance. What I am sure of is this: for my mother, Independent Living at Coral Oaks was a great finish to a long life.

My mother in law moved in here and it is a wonderful place. The food is excellent, and the staff is so helpful. Annette, one of the ladies in administration was so pleasant and answered so many questions for us, she even checked in with my MIL the day she moved in and a couple times since. Maintenance is available to help with things and they do all types of field trips and daily onsite activities. They provide two meals a day and transportation to nearby appointments for medical and shopping. My favorite was fresh cookies in the lobby.

Move in sooner, not later, so that you can enjoy all the great activities, no cooking, and maintenance free living. We have now been residents of Coral Oaks for two years and are so happy with our decision to move here. The staff members are wonderful and there is a genuine sense of community among the residents.

My husband and I moved here several months ago after we sold our home. It has been quite a transition after living on our own for all 60 years of our marriage. But, at this time in our life, Coral Oaks is the place to be. Our apartment is lovely and we feel at home. I especially enjoy the pool and other activities planned by the staff. My husband is fortunate that physical therapy is available right here at Coral Oaks in the well-equipped gym. Sometimes I miss cooking but not very often. The meals here are enjoyable and, most of the time, are very good. We appreciate the staff all the way from administration, maintenance and dining to our housekeepers and how hard they all work to make Coral Oaks the place to be. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the activities staff. What a great job they do! Happy Hour with live music! (With a special shout out to Rush!) Bottom line I give Coral Oaks 4 stars. There are a few areas that need improvement but they are aware and are working hard to make things better. I expect to move the rating up to 5 stars very soon.

My mom and her husband have lived here several months now. It is a beautiful facility with tons of extra perks: lovely park area, dog park, happy hour, beauty salon, church services, and movie nights. Not to mention weekly housekeeping and two delicious meals a day. We visited the pool this weekend and it was great. The maintenance men are always happy to help with hanging pictures and adjusting furnishings. I feel like they are both well-attended-to, safe, and happy at Coral Oaks. I couldn’t be happier with the facility.

Beautiful facility with friendly and attentive staff. I was moving my Aunt in during Hurricane Ian. The staff was very accommodating for residents coming from other facilities coming in temporarily as Coral Oaks is roughly 70ft above sea level so it was much safer there than staying in lower lying areas. Aside from that. Food is good and staff are very polite. I would recommend this facility for any family member concerned for their aged relatives.

My mother recently moved into Coral Oaks and she has never been happier. The process was smooth and the staff supported her completely. From my own observations, everyone is very friendly, the grounds and buildings are kept clean and very well decorated, they have lots of activities that are all voluntary, and the environment is very welcoming. They do seasonal events which are well run and very fun for the residents, keeping things fresh and new throughout the year. We were very concerned about the selection process and Coral Oaks has proven to be the right choice in every way.

My mother moved to Coral Oaks Independent Living almost 2 years ago. The staff have always been very friendly and super helpful. I was quite impressed with the amenities - heated pool, billiard room, theater, etc. along with the activities - happy hour, bingo and special events. My mother has made new friends there which relieved my apprehension about her acclimating to a new facility. She is also very picky about the food and her favorite night is Saturday which is prime rib night. Everyone I've talked to has said that Coral Oaks is the nicest facilities in the area (even people from other facilities). Coral Oaks is the best.

Compared Coral Oaks to other similar places in the Palm Harbor area, and my mother felt it was the best fit for her. In the 4 months since moving in she has made friends, enjoyed good food and received on premises physical therapy. During my visits, the residents all seem so happy and comfortable. My wife and I moved into Coral Oaks in Palm Harbor Florida, 3 1/2 months ago. Our experience has been better-than-expected. Coral Oaks is without a doubt a 5-star establishment. We have found the staff to be top grade, friendly and very courteous. The food, well I could go on for awhile, but let me say has been excellent. There is always some type of a fun and exciting event going. I know this by experience that everything starts from the top and as Dave the GM puts it this is your home and we want to treat you that way. My mother lived here for 10 years. Independent living was great. Assisted living was decent but some aides were not so good (especially on the night shift). When my mother's care level increased she was forced to move. No one (other than the receptionist Harvey) even took the time to say goodbye or wish her well. It speaks volumes that a place that was my mom's home for a decade basically diminished the relationship that we thought existed.

My Mother in Law has been an independent resident at Coral Oaks for about 4 years. Words can't express how thankful we are that she is there. Coral Oaks has the most incredible staff. Management, food servers, housekeepers, support staff, etc, are all the most pleasant, helpful, caring, patient, kind people I've ever seen. My Mother in Law truly loves each and every one of them, to me, that speaks volumes. Coral Oaks provides wonderful meals, parties, activities and church services. Since Covid-19 has become part of our daily lives I cannot say enough about Coral Oaks attention to keeping every resident safe. I was concerned going into the shut down how it would affect Mom being isolated from almost everything. Coral Oaks has made this entire experience as pleasant as it could be. Mom is in great spirits, healthy, happy and most importantly safe. Every staff member has sacrificed in their own lives happily to keep their residents as safe as they can be, that is how wonderful Coral Oaks is. If there was a 10 star button to push, we would.

I was lucky enough to visit Coral Oaks for the first time with my grandma when she was deciding on an assisted living home. What sticks out the most is how many of their employees had been there for many years! I believe a place that treats their employees well will also treat their residents/customers well. It seems like a wonderful place to work and it's definitely a wonderful place to live. My grandma is thriving and enjoys all the social activities. They're doing an excellent job with the Covid19 outbreak and are taking precautions to keep their residents safe and happy. I couldn't ask for a better place to take care of my grandma. We always enjoy visiting there when we're in town. It feels like a nice hotel when you enter the building! They really care about their residents and go above and beyond to help!

IRMA - I know you put a lot of effort into caring for your residents during the storm and I think that is wonderful. I am glad the 10-15 foot storm surge for the Tampa area didn't materialize and it all turned out well. In future, it might help to have more information about evacuation zones and regular updates on the website for worried family, like other places do. CBS was posting dire predictions specifically about Palm Harbor.
