A big shout out to all of the directors and staff for the great care and sacrifices they made to get thru Hurricanes Helene and Milton! This team of professionals always go above and beyond to help the residents and to keep all of the family members informed. My mother has been a resident in Independent Living for over 10 years now (she will be 99 in Nov). Dave, Amy and all of the Coral Oaks team are great to work with and take excellent care of the facility but most importantly the residents. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment!

My parents and I first visited Coral Oaks about a year ago. We had so many people, residents and employees, warmly greet us. It's a year later and I visit about once a month and I know many of the employees. They are as awesome today and when we first visited. They are so very kind and helpful. Hurricane Milton just went through the area and I felt that they took very good care of the residents. Their communications with family members during this stressful time was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend Coral Oaks, goodness, I would live there! Most of all, I trust them with the care of my parents. I hope you find this review helpful

My mother lived in the Independent Living area at Coral Oaks for three years. She enjoyed her time there, made new friends, and when any of us family members visited her, we were always impressed by the warmth, cleanliness, and comfort of the place. There are many activities and services available; and the common areas, the grounds, and the pool area are highly attractive, where one has the feeling of being in a resort. The staff were always friendly and helpful. As an added bonus, they even have an apartment unit you can rent out, which can be quite convenient when visiting a loved one there. I'd always felt relieved that she had found such a place for her senior years. Recently, I made the trip to Florida to help in my mother's transition to the Assisted Living side of Coral Oaks. Sadly, she passed away during that process which, needless to say, made it a difficult time for me. However, the staff were extremely helpful, providing support as I dealt with a number of newly urgent matters. This was particularly true of the Independent Living Assistant Executive Director, Amy. I'm not sure how I would have gotten through it all without her guidance. What I am sure of is this: for my mother, Independent Living at Coral Oaks was a great finish to a long life.

Both my father and father-in-law have lived here for years, and we have had outstanding experience with both the Independent Living and Assisted Living sides. Great, caring staff who are responsive and attentive. Lots of activities. Homelike atmosphere. Highly competent administration. We could not be more pleased.

My mother in law moved in here and it is a wonderful place. The food is excellent, and the staff is so helpful. Annette, one of the ladies in administration was so pleasant and answered so many questions for us, she even checked in with my MIL the day she moved in and a couple times since. Maintenance is available to help with things and they do all types of field trips and daily onsite activities. They provide two meals a day and transportation to nearby appointments for medical and shopping. My favorite was fresh cookies in the lobby.

We would encourage anyone interested in an independent living community to put Coral Oaks at the top of their list. Move in sooner, not later, so that you can enjoy all the great activities, no cooking, and maintenance free living. We have now been residents of Coral Oaks for two years and are so happy with our decision to move here. The staff members are wonderful and there is a genuine sense of community among the residents.

I have had several of my clients move in to Coral Oaks over the years. When my parents were finally ready, we checked out the rooms and facility in more detail and chose to make the move. It has been several years now and we are about to move over to the assisted side soon. I’m not even considering any other place. Coral oaks is a well run, super friendly place. The management does a superior job and picks staff that really seem to enjoy their jobs. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Beautiful facility with friendly and attentive staff. I was moving my Aunt in during Hurricane Ian. The staff was very accommodating for residents coming from other facilities coming in temporarily as Coral Oaks is roughly 70ft above sea level so it was much safer there than staying in lower lying areas. Aside from that. Food is good and staff are very polite. I would recommend this facility for any family member concerned for their aged relatives.

My mom and her husband have lived here several months now. It is a beautiful facility with tons of extra perks: lovely park area, dog park, happy hour, beauty salon, church services, and movie nights. Not to mention weekly housekeeping and two delicious meals a day. We visited the pool this weekend and it was great. The maintenance men are always happy to help with hanging pictures and adjusting furnishings. I feel like they are both well-attended-to, safe, and happy at Coral Oaks. I couldn’t be happier with the facility.

My husband and I moved here several months ago after we sold our home. It has been quite a transition after living “on our own” for all 60 years of our marriage. But, at this time in our life, Coral Oaks is the place to be. Our apartment is lovely and we feel at home. I especially enjoy the pool and other activities planned by the staff. My husband is fortunate that physical therapy is available right here at Coral Oaks in the well-equipped gym. Sometimes I miss cooking but not very often . The meals here are enjoyable and, most of the time, are very good. We appreciate the staff all the way from administration, maintenance and dining to our housekeepers and how hard they all work to make Coral Oaks the place to be. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the activities staff. What a great job they do! Happy Hour with live music! (With a special shout out to Rush!) Bottom line I give Coral Oaks 4 stars. There are a few areas that need improvement but they are aware and are working hard to make things better. I expect to move the rating up to 5 stars very soon.

Researched several independent living facilities in the Tampa area. After several comparisons Coral Oaks always came out on top. Since moving here I find that it was a good decision. The people are friendly and the staff is very courteous and efficient. Many activities to help you keep active. Great place to retire to.

Words cannot even express the gratitude my family and I have for the amazing care that Coral Oaks staff are providing to ensure the safety and health of the residents. My mother has resided on the independent living side for several years now and has always had positive things to say. Both of my aunts followed her there. And now going through COVID-19, the staff at Coral Oaks have taken exceptional measures to ensure our loved ones are safe and secure. The transparency is amazing. They are quick to provide family members with updates. The administration staff are always quick to return phone calls. They were even quick to accommodate us for a drive by birthday celebration for my mother. Thank you Coral Oaks for taking such good care of my mother and keeping all the residents safe.

They do a great job with my grandfather. They did a fantastic job with my grandmother until she unfortunately passed. Piece of mind that my grandfather is here.Edit- grandfather passed 7, 2, 19 very accommodating and understanding and checking on the well being of especially my dad. My Mother in Law has been an independent resident at Coral Oaks for about 4 years. Words cant express how thankful we are that she is there. Coral Oaks has the most incredible staff. Management, food servers, housekeepers, support staff, etc, are all the most pleasant, helpful, caring, patient, kind people Ive ever seen. My Mother in Law truly loves each and every one of them, to me, that speaks volumes. Coral Oaks provides wonderful meals, parties, activities and church services. Since Covid-19 has become part of our daily lives I cannot say enough about Coral Oaks attention to keeping every resident safe. I was concerned going into the shut down how it would affect Mom being isolated from almost everything. Coral Oaks has made this entire experience as pleasant as it could be. Mom is in great spirits, healthy, happy and most importantly safe. Every staff member has sacrificed in their own lives happily to keep their residents as safe as they can be, that is how wonderful Coral Oaks is. If there was a 10 star button to push, we would.

I was lucky enough to visit Coral Oaks for the first time with my grandma when she was deciding on an assisted living home. What sticks out the most is how many of their employees had been there for many years! I believe a place that treats their employees well will also treat their residents, customers well. It seems like a wonderful place to work and its definitely a wonderful place to live. My grandma is thriving and enjoys all the social activities. Theyre doing an excellent job with the Covid19 outbreak and are taking precautions to keep their residents safe and happy. I couldnt ask for a better place to take care of my grandma. We always enjoy visiting there when were in town. It feels like a nice hotel when you enter the building! They really care about their residents and go above and beyond to help!

We just moved my mom in here. I cant say enough about the process and the staff. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive at a challenging time. Its a beautiful facility. My mom loves her new apartment. The food is excellent. I think the people are the best part though. Every single staff member weve dealt with has been absolutely wonderful.

IRMA - I know you put a lot of effort into caring for your residents during the storm and I think that is wonderful. I am glad the 10-15 foot storm surge for the Tampa area didnt materialize and it all turned out well. In future, it might help to have more information about evacuation zones and regular updates on the website for worried family, like other places do. CBS was posting dire predictions specifically about Palm Harbor.
