I find The Fountains to be a lively, friendly place with lots of creative activity going on. I'm only a visitor to a friend or two, but the staff is cheerful and the decor is delightful. I am not a potential resident because it is too costly for me, but my friend has a very pleasant apartment in which she receives visitors. She arranged for our book club to meet and lunch there. The staff was so friendly and helpful; everyone loves their lunches.

I have toured many Assisted Living facilities. The Fountains was amazing. So much for the community to do. Pool, workout room , game room, walking path and so much more. Very clean. Looks new. I visited a "small" room and was very impressed with the layout and size. The patio was a great size to sit outside when the weather permits. I enjoyed the tour and everyone, employees and residents, we came into contact with were smiling and looked relaxed. Thank you for a chance to see a truly special place.

My only complaint is the parking situation. The residents and visitors have to hike quite a ways to and from the parking lots. Need a shuttle of some type. After all, these residents are elderly.

The Fountains has been a wonderful experience from the beginning of my mother's stay. It has been 9 years and she continues to tell me how much she enjoys it. There is so much for her to do. The other residents are friendly and happy. Employees are all pleasant, kind and helpful. I feel they work hard to balance safety and happiness during the pandemic. Mom is always saying how lucky she is to live at The Fountains, that it is like a Cruise vacation, just on the land.

This was my first visit to the Fountains and I was thoroughly impressed! I came as a "plus one" visitor with my best friend of 47 yrs, Kathy Koller, who was there to visit her Aunt Jean. Kathy gave me a brief tour of the areas where you offer games like Bingo, the spacious Cafetorium, your cozy Library, an easily-accessed Pool and friendly Commons. I also noticed a great number of busy Services Employees, which, for me, is always a positive indicator of managerial panache. Finally, I was really impressed when I saw Jean's one-bedroom apartment: it was spacious, spotless and she had a full kitchen (the clincher for me). Everything and everywhere was so clean and nice! I look forward to making an appointment so that I can be "properly" introduced to all else that the Fountains has to offer me - although I am already convinced that this is where I'd choose to live when Im ready to enjoy the next phase of my life (I'm only 71 so…). Thanks for this opportunity to let you know how wonderful I think the Fountains is (and will be for me!).

Life at The Fountains is indeed grand!! The staff is so friendly and the amenities are wonderful. The apartments are beautiful and the facility is impeccably landscaped. The employees anticipate the residents' needs and make sure they are met. This place is truly second to none.

We placed my mother here in Assisted Living last August and she is very happy there. Her only complaint is that she gets too much attention! The food could be better but seems to be on a par with other such places.

My husband and I are current residents of The Fountains and have lived here for nearly four years. We both love it! It's almost like living on a cruise ship, with so much to do and happy people to do it with. Every single department excels in its care of us, so we feel nurtured and safe. It's amazing how three hundred residents can feel like an extended family, but I credit the amazing staff for always encouraging us to be compassionate and embracing of one another. If you visit The Fountains, you are certain to feel welcome to join in the laughter and camaraderie that abound. It is truly a wonderful place to live, with countless reasons for its five-star rating!

My parents living at The Fountains is the best decision we made as a family. My mother mentally and physically improved within the first 2 months of them being there. She is thriving. A complete transformation for the absolute best. The facility is immaculate and full of liveliness. The staff is outstanding. Jackie made us feel very comfortable in our decision making process. Before my parents were even residents at the fountains she would call me and check up on how they are doing and how I am handling taking care of my parents. My parents moved in to the independent living side of The Fountains in September of 2019. In June of 2020 they had to move over to the assisted living side due to my dad's declining health. After my dad's passing in April of this year, we moved mom back to the independent side. I can't say enough about The Fountains. The staff is made up of some of the most caring and compassionate people I could ever imagine! They truly do take the time to get to know each resident, and become genuinely invested in their lives. I visit my mom weekly and have gotten to know many of the employees over the past 4 years, and I can't say enough about them. When my dad passed we got such an outpouring of love and concern, some of the CNA's and nurses were even moved to tears when they heard the news. My mom continues to be very happy there, even with the disruptions to her life of having to change apartments multiple times the staff always made sure it was a seamless transition. She has also found many wonderful friends, and I know that having an active social life has been critical for her while she adjusts to her new normal without my dad. I am so thankful that we were able to find the perfect fit for my parents back in 2019, and it gives me great peace of mind now that mom is on her own. I would highly recommend The Fountains to anyone!

My Mom lived on the independent and then moved to the assisted living side after a short time. The atmosphere is positive, the residents are happy, the staff is happy and overall it is the best facility in Brevard county and maybe the state. It is clean, food is good. The care on the assisted living side is mazing, professional, kind staff who are always available for any concerns we had. We cannot say enough about this facility, it was a wonderful experience all the way around.

I've eaten in the dining room, including a wonderful feast for Easter with our extended family (pre-Covid19). The entire property has a nice resort feel to it! The front desk employees are always helpful and courteous. And the walking trail is a wonderful addition! I appreciate the convenience of the shuttles offering rides to appointments and shopping opportunities as well as the pick up service of prescriptions for the residents.

I can't say enough good about the Fountains starting with the arrival at the front desk. Staff, including the tour guide Ms. Plante, were so friendly. I couldn't help but notice that they knew the residents names. I appreciated the tour guides knowledge and patience as I asked so many questions. Loved the homey and clean comfortable feeling of the facility as well as the classy touches I noticed throughout the tour. The apartment is nice with plenty of room. Definitely the best that I have toured. Love that there is a pool for exercising and many options for entertainment. Food was excellent and I am amazed at the options. I can't give enough stars! You really have too see it too appreciate it.

My mother has been a resident at the Fountains of Melbourne assisted living facility since July 2019. As my mother's oldest son and the primary family caregiver, I am so happy that my mother is a resident. I have great piece of mind knowing that she receives top notch care everyday. As her physical mobility worsens, the Fountains staff has risen to meet the need for additional assistance. The nursing staff has always made time for me to discuss my mother's care plan and requirements. I like to think that my personal experience is typical of other residents and family members.

The Fountains of Melbourne Review - My Dad has been living at The Fountains of Melbourne for over a year now. He came to Florida from Williamsburg, Va. He is now 87 years old, living in Independent Living. He was a bit unsure about moving to Florida and had me look into some retirement places to live before he came for a look-see. I loved The Fountains and when he came to look at the places that I thought would be good for him, he fell in love with this place. After meeting with Chris, taking a tour and enjoying a wonderful lunch he decided that this was the place for him - This is the place, it feels like home to me. Well, this was what I wanted to hear, so after packing up his home, he moved to The Fountains in May, 2019. My Dad is a widower for 7 years now. It did not take him long to meet new people and get involved with life here. He lives in a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and nice sized living room, big bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in shower. He loves his screened in porch. He loves seeing the launches from Kennedy Space Center from his balcony. He does his own laundry, however for a small charge it can be done for you. My Dad has always been a fish and soup lover all his life. I believe that he eats fish most dinner times and he says that the lobster bisque is about the best ever. I have never been to The Fountains that I have seen an unhappy associate. You are greeted with a smile and everyone knew my Dads name within a few days of him being there. The COVID pandemic has produced a few changes - no visitation for a bit, meals changed to 3, day (in-room service) for my Dad and laundry was done for him. We, as family members were kept up to date with once-twice per week e-mails from the Executive Director, Sandra Garuti. She was amazing letting everyone know what was being done to keep our family members safe, healthy and happy. She and her community of associates have been on top of everything, following the CDC guidelines for retirement homes and assisted living communities. Yes, a few associates tested positive on their every other week testings ( and are all back to work now), but no residents were infected while living here. The housekeeping is meticulous, everyone is screened before entering and the residents are checked on a daily basis for symptoms and fever. As a residents family member, I appreciate this and am so thankful for the watchful eye everyone has kept on my Dad. He is happy, has a friend that he loves spending time with, LOVES the food, has enjoyed the time he can now get outside, although still needing a mask and social distancing, enjoys movie time - )Aerial America and Westerns are his favorites), and taking bus trip to the beach and parks. Could he do more, you bet - puzzles, crafts, bridge, bingo...lots of activities. He just chooses not to. I am thrilled that he is happy and feels safe in his environment. Thank you to The Fountains of Melbourne associates for their loving care. They are heroes to our family! 10, 10 stars!!

Full disclosure: I reviewed all similar facilities in the Melbourne area a few years ago. I am speaking only about the Fountains as I dont know what facilities have opened since I looked.I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend The Fountains of Melbourne. The overall facility is set in a very picturesque landscaping arrangement with attractive buildings, ponds, and trees.I do know someone who lives there so I am familiar with what goes on inside. A person could spend all their time at The Fountains and be fulfilled I think. Dining, entertainment, get-togethers, parties, just a myriad of special events. There are programs for personal enrichment particularly geared towards our older population as well as programs that anyone might benefit from.A person need not spend their whole time at The Fountains as transportation to medical appointments and shopping is available. Also, he residents often go to local events togetherThe Staff? Well, they are just top notch. Polite, helpful and friendly - you cant beat it.The focus at The Fountains is on the residents and that contains a wide spectrum of efforts that Ive only touched on. If you are considered a facility such as The Fountains, you really do owe it to yourself to go there, tour the place and talk to Staff. Dont make a decision before giving them a look. You wont regret it.

My father has been in the Independent Living side (one bedroom apartment) for a little over a year now. I love it! I know he can participate in activities, he has a ride to wherever he wants to go, the food is good, the staff is wonderful & I just cannot say enough about The Fountains.

It is a great place to live. Its lovely and has so much to offer to the residents. My Dad lives there and has been there for 14 yrs. He is involved with so many things. They are always having games and events for everyone. They play bridge, bingo, Mexican dominoes, shuffleboard, etc. They have transportation to many places, including Wal-Mart, Publix, Drs. appointments and to PAFB, church and many more places. They also as well as having music and plays at the Fountains, take the residents to different musical things at the Melbourne Auditorium. Too numerous to mention. The meals are great and served in the dining room or in the Bistro. They have a nice 24 hour coffee shop, beauty and barber shop. They have housekeeping services and maintenance on duty. I cannot say enough about it. The staff is also very friendly and will help you with anything you need. I certainly would go see the premises. Its lovely! Peggy Frank.

My mother moved into assisted living at The Fountains 2 weeks ago. She loves it. We love it. Everyone has been friendly, pleasant, and wonderful to her, and to me when I visit. We are in the process of getting her apartment furnishings arranged, and she is in the process of meeting NO strangers anywhere here. Employees evidently do enjoy working here, and that is good for them and for the residents, too. Its a resort hotel, cruise ship, and country club rolled into one. Good food, too, but the people are the best reason to choose The Fountains.
