Our dad was a resident at Medlock gardens for only a short number of months prior to his death. During that time it was apparent to us that Medlock Gardens is a special place that is truly dedicated to the well being and care of its residents. Many of the staff are long time employees which was very comforting for us. They were attentive and kind, and we felt that our dad was safe in their care. Special thank you to Terry, Teresa, Teresa, Vicky, Anthony, Andy, Keith, Keisha, Deetra, Darcelle, Serita and all of the other wonderful individuals at Medlock who provide loving care to our elders.

We were very impressed with the facility, Rita and the staff and have made arrangements to move her in. Even though Mom didn’t want to leave her home for an assisted living facility, she has come to enjoy her life at Medlock Gardens. She loves the staff and everything they do for her. The activities were a great improvement for Mom. She had very little contact with the outside world, but has made many new friends while enjoying the activities.

Everyone we encountered here was top notch. From the director, to the med nurses, to the orderlies, maintenance and cook. I always felt that my aunt was in good hands and well cared for. She enjoyed her stay here and always commented how everyone loved on her and made her feel extra special. Every time we needed something like a dose of Tylenol, emptying trash, hanging pictures, more incontenance supplies, catering to a difficult diet restriction; someone was right there promptly and gladly bending over backwards to go that extra mile.

My mom was a resident at Medlock Gardens from late 2019 to her death in October 2021. The caregivers and staff here truly go above and beyond for their residents. Even in the high stress, very difficult environment of COVID quarantine, the caregivers treated her like their own family. My sisters and I have observed how engaged the director, nurse, activities director, techs, and facilities staff are - checking in with everyone by name and treating their residents with dignity, respect, and like the unique special people each of them areand probably most importantly making sure the residents have a big role in providing feedback and ownership over their home. I cannot say enough good things about all of them. We are so grateful that mom spent her last years here getting the care she needed, doing crafts and other fun activities, making friends, while also having her own little apartment and maintaining as much independence as possible. It gave my sisters and I peace of mind that she was well cared for and safe at home, so we could focus on supporting and loving her beyond daily caregiving.

I have been here for 30 days for respite care. My family was very lucky to come across Medlock Gardens. Im a caregiver by trade,and I've been in many assisted living facilities. This is far and away has the most loving staff and is the cleanest assisted living I've ever been in. Im going home tomorrow and am grateful for such a nice place to heal.

We have a family member who has been a resident for several months, and she and our family have been pleased with the care she is receiving. There have been a few people who have recently left who did not have a great attitude, but the people who remain are responsible and compassionate and work together well as a team. We've been particularly pleased with the director, who has always been prompt to respond to our communications, the nurse on staff, who has helped us after hours to straighten out issues with medication, the maintenance man, who is a super nice guy and true handyman, and the office manager, who has kept us informed of expenses and schedules for extras such as podiatrist visits and hairdressing. Our family member also especially appreciates the work done by the activities director, saying she has enjoyed doing many of the crafts at Medlock Gardens and appreciates that the activities director is always soliciting feedback from residents and encouraging new ideas. We understand that no place is absolutely perfect, but for assisted living that is so affordable for this area and also small and cozy (which she really likes), we think the staff are doing a great job.

My father passed away 2 months ago at Medlock. I still feel the same as I did when he lived there. Everyone treated him with exceptional care and kindness. The nurse was outstanding taking him to his Doctor Appts "by the hours":). The entire place is so clean. His friends that visited him all say this is where they will go. Thanks for All.

They call Medlock Gardens the bed-and-breakfast of senior living. I can certainly see why. It’s very quaint and reminiscent going to visit my grandmother back in the day. My aunt has been here for three years and really likes it. Glad she found a place to call home where she feels safe and is well cared for!
