I went to Avamere searching for a comfortable place for my mom to live following a prolonged recovery process from a pelic fracture. She is (as of today's date) in the process of the Medicaid application and Avamere was eager to sit down with me to assist in that process. They have been extremely accommodating and reassuring in what has at times been an overwhelming ordeal. From the moment I walked in the door I could tell this isn't your average senior living facility. The residents I saw and had interactions with were genuinely happy. Avamere is extremely well maintained and it felt like home. I can't say enough good things about Avamere. I know my mom will be comfortable there, and her quality of life will be elevated.

I was recently at Avamere and took a tour. This is a wonderful location with many amenities. They have an excellent chef. The care is beyond fabulous. I was sold the minute I walked in the door. Lovely kind people.

Avamere is a good place to live. The Staff is very attentive. However, the sidewalks are not accessible for a blind or low vision person. The rooms do not have Braille or large print numbers, and are out of sequence.

Avemere at South Hill – Spokane. Avemere is a wonderful and beautiful place for the seniors of our community to age in place. The location is ideal for feeling like you are a part of nature, as it has wonderful, spacious grounds for the residents to take advantage of. Robyn Huetter, ED is exceptionally caring and truly has her residents in her heart. Jackson Williams, Senior Sales and Outreach - does not just move a person in, he goes out of his way to make sure that all those involved with a resident know that he is always available to them while they are living in the Avemere community. The nursing staff is very stable and provide exceptional care. A Stable staff says so much about a senior community! Every time I visit, everyone always seems very happy.

Avamere is in a great location on the South Hill and has reasonable prices for Assisted Living. A great, not-too-big community with wonderful staff. Ask for Jackson, and set up a tour!

My Mom lived at Avamere for 1 year, knowing what I know now, I would have put her somewhere that could actually handle my Moms dementia until the end, as it is so hard on her to move now. The care was good but limited as dementia really isn't their specialty. Some very caring and lovely people there though.

I moved my parents there a few months ago because we felt their last place wasn't giving them good care, when I talk with any of the personnel at Avamere they take it seriously and get right on taking care of the concern. Jackson has been the greatest he has got my parents set up with programs that I did not know were available. The place is clean and my parents love the food!!

It is never easy to move a loved one from their home to a new place. Avamere at South Hill has made it so much better - the facility is clean and well appointed, the staff is over-the-top accommodating and my Mom is happily getting settled. We recently moved our dad to Avamere at South Hill and he is doing well. It's not easy to settle into a new home and routine and so far Avamere has helped us with the bumps along the way. The dining room and hallways have a nice remodel and his room was rennovated before he moved in. Other residents are friendly and there are enough activities that he can pick and choose what interests him. He rates the dining room food as good with many choices from a menu at each meal. All the staff I have met are kind and competent and I trust them with our challenges to come.

It is such a difficult thing to select a good Assisted Living facility for your loved one. I researched 4 on the Spokane South Hill and 2 in Boise (where I live) and I can tell you Avamere at South Hill is a wonderful place. I'm so happy I could keep Dad in Spokane since he considers it his home. Tigri and Ken are genuine and caring leaders that will make sure Avamere is a good fit for you without any pressure. They truly give personal attention to the details and you can trust them to make sure you have a smooth transistion! They always do a complete makeover of the apartment before you move in and you bring your own furnishings. I have no idea how the other reviewer complains of bed bugs unless she brought them with her when she moved in! I ate several lunches and dinners with my Dad and I can say their food is healthy and delicious with appropriate portions. I have no Idea why the other reviewer found issue with it. In fact, the BBQ Brisket they prepared in-house and served on Father's Day beat any from Spokane area restaurants. I made effort to chat with many Avamere residents and all seem very happy with the staff and food. Similarly, I spoke with many of the Avamere employees and they all seem happy and say that Avamere is a good place to work. Perhaps the other reviewer is just a disgruntled former employee. Avamere even has Primary Care providers that make regular visits to Avamere that eliminates travel for routine doctor visits. You might think this review is too glowing to be real, but I assure you that Avamere deserves your consideration. Your loved one deserves it and their rates are very competitive!
