My Mom was at Moran Vista for 25 days in memory care and the care she received was outstanding. Responsive staff whether by phone or email. Thoughtful, caring staff and a clean comfortable facility. We couldn't have asked for more for our Mom. Price was also competitive, for what you get...which is a lot.

Moran Vista has been taking super great care of my mother for the last 6 years. Mom loves the restaurant quality food and daily activities. The staff has been fabulous - especially during these tough times with the pandemic - as they are always looking out for the health and well being of all the residents. Thank you Moran Vista and thank you Marcia! (Mom thinks she is the concierge!!)

It all begins with the charming, caring and extremely competent and skilled Receptionist, Marcia and from there the quality human effort continues with the skilled leadership of Executive Director, Joe Porter and his Associate/Program Director, Tali Richardson. Annie, Activities Director is the perfect match for this type of work, she exudes enthusiasm & joy. All of the leadership demonstrates a camaraderie & cohesiveness that permeates the entirety of Moran Vista. I can't think a more perfect setting for my family member.

Went in for a job interview recently and was very impressed. The facility was clean and smelled great. The staff was all smiles and it seemed quite peaceful. Wonderful place to call home I think.
September 2018
I recently posted a fairly critical review, but have since deleted it because the director Andrew met with me and assured me that he would look into increasing the size of the TV in the dining area and improving the garden. I continue to be impressed with the staff and I'm hopeful that other future facility improvements will occur. I appreciate that he reached out to me and listened.

My mom has lived at Moran Vista for four years now. I have found the staff to be very compassionate and caring. As a family member, they have been very responsive to any questions I have and go out of their way to make sure my mom has the exact care she needs. The Administrator, Andrew, has been there for a couple of years now and has been a wonderful addition and has greatly improved the facility. He has greatly added to staffing improvements, training and a high standard of communication. Since my mom has been at Moran Vista, her health has been good because of the good care they have taken with her and the conscientious caregivers and med techs.

This positive letter about the care her father is receiving at Moran Vista was sent to us by Lorraine C. Thank you, Lorraine, for taking to time to let us know your thoughts!

Today is Oct 19, 2017 and nothing could take my sunshine away. First I want to commend Moran Vista for the quality staff they have. Both of my parents were in assisted living. My Mom passed away last May. My Dad who has dementia sat with my Mom after her passing and held her hand and thanked God for all the good years, 64 in all. He thanked God for her devotion to him and our family and recited all his prayers without a single mistake. The dementia was gone if only for a moment. Soon Dad went into a downhill spiral missing the love of his life and not always remembering where he was or that she had passed away. He was moved into the Memory Care Unit for his own safety after seeking to get away to find her. To this day we no longer say Mom has passed away. To prevent breaking his heart over and over we say she is with her sister Audrey who she was so close to. Audrey had also passed but my Dad seems to find comfort in thinking she will be back after their visit. We were devastated. The Care Staff are angels. Many thanks to Spencer, Pam, Bertha, Carley, Deborah, Melissa, and Sally just to say a few. Marcia at the front desk and Administrator Andrew have definitely found their calling. Yesterday after a meeting to determine if my Dad qualified for palliative care I joined him back in his room as I do several times a week. Thank you to my brother and sister who help make sure my Dad is being seen by one of us daily. Much love to Ray who is so patient and understanding. The care staff let Dad know it was snack time so I joined him earlier in the day than I usually am able to and came upon the Moran Vista Memory Care Unit Happy Hour. There was sparkling cider, "beer", homemade cookies from Andrew's wife. Pam a caregiver with a heart of gold was looking for music. I went to Dad's room and brought back a CD of the 30-40's Big Band Music. She turned the music up! She slowly danced a soft two step. More than half of the residents were swaying to the music and singing. Singing the right words as though they were listening to Tommy Dorsey in person. Beautiful voices came out of patients with dementia some that didn't know the day of the week or the time of day. Residents who have trouble getting their message across in words. But they sang, they smiled, they were back for a brief time. The music brought them to an Era they remembered and loved. Pam danced with residents. One resident shimmied as though she were 20 years old again. I danced with my Dad. He wanted to twirl me around as he sang and danced. This from the same man who years ago stood me on his feet as we danced in our living room to Lawrence Welk. I was not being a caregiver to the Dad I so loved, I was dancing with him! So please if that parent, grandparent, loved one is in a world you are fearful of or don't understand visit them often, hold their hand and play them music. Give them a moment to remember, smile and laugh. But most of all to dance one more time. Thank You Moran Vista for your help in caring for my Dad.

After checking assisted living places in Spokane for my mom, she and I chose Moran Vista because it was so clean, and the employees knew the residents by name and were very positive and friendly. Since entering two years ago, my mom has moved into memory care. She has her own room as do all the other residents. The caregivers show a genuine regard for her and the others. Any concerns we have had ( and there haven't been many), Andrew, the administrator, has addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. I am glad we chose Moran Vista for Mom's retirement home. February 2017
My sister-in-law and her husband have lived at Moran Vista for over 5 years. They enjoy all of the activities, Bingo, cards, WII bowling and many other games. The activity director does a great job with holidays, celebrating birthdays of the month and keeping the days busy. The experience with a previous care facility left us feeling very discouraged but coming to Moran Vista was the best move. Being able to order off of a menu or choose the meal of the day was very important and the selection is good. There is always a salad bar with a nice selection and room service on those days they were not feeling well. The staff is wonderful, they truly care about the residents. My sisters husband recently passed and the day he died every single care giver came to the room to pay respects to the family and make sure she was ok. Having to live in assisted care is hard on people who have been independent all their lives, I see people get upset about little things but we are very happy with the way things are handled and do not anticipate ever moving. I will continue to recommended Moran Vista.
January 2017
Excellent new Administrator (Andrew) and the past several months have been noticeably much improved under his guidance and oversight. Staff have been caring and friendly. My mother in law residing there often shares compliments regarding the good meals and compassionate care she receives at Moran Vista. We appreciate the care and the services she has received at Moran Vista.
January 2017
We placed Mom in the Memory Care Unit and couldn't have been more pleased with her care. It was clear that the Management (Andrew and Sally) and the staff really cared about Mom. They were affectionate towards her, patient with her, called us with concerns, and met with our family frequently. There are frequent activities, including exercise, singing, movies, etc., for Mom to participate in. There were a couple of staff members that Mom grew particularly fond of and if Mom had emotional outbursts all I would have to do is call one of them in and Mom would burst into a big smile. Thank you, Moran Vista, for caring for Mom during her last days.

What a blessing you are! Thank you for your support of Our Place Community Ministries. Your generous gifts of donated hygiene items, clothing and household necessities makes all the difference in the world in restoring dignity and hope to the poor and desolate people we assist. We are honored to have served and met the needs of Spokane's most impoverished people for nearly 30 years. It is disturbing to realize this depth of poverty exists in Spokane. The people we help often lack life's basic necessities of water, food, clothing and shelter. Our Place addresses their immediate, dire needs as we aim to turn survival into thriving. We can do this because of your generosity. Last year, Our Place fed and clothed 13,724 folks including 4,315 children and 2,096 elderly people, with 263,587 pounds of healthy, nutritional food and warm clothing and bedding. We washed 1,009 loads of laundry and kept the water and power on for 110 families. We also proudly distributed more than 1,000 pairs of shoes and warm boots for children. Because of your love, care and concern, we will continue giving soap, shampoo, razors, diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and toilet paper to our clients items we lovingly give to restore human dignity. Your support will provide over 1,500 homeless people with sleeping bags, gloves, coats, warm blankets and self-heating meals for warm dinners when they are without shelter. It is because of wonderful donors like you and the empathy and care of our volunteers and staff that Our Place is respected as a highly treasured and capable organization We are a place of compassion, kindness, dignity and above all faith and hope. Thank you so much for making all of this possible. Kindly, Tracie Swanson Executive Direct

My parents have been living at Moran Vista for over six months. On the whole, their experience has been a positive one. The staff has been helpful, the environment is pleasant and friendly, the food is good and well suited to the situation (I sometimes eat their myself). Moran Vista isn't exactly like living at home, but I think they are working hard to make life there a good experience.
