Our Mom has been at the Colonade for about 5 years now. They are sincerely our extended family. Our parents joined the Colonade family as a couple Dad with Parkinson’s and Mom a memory care resident. Our Dad passed peacefully 3 years ago and not for the kindness and professionalism of an exceptional staff I am not sure we would still have Mom. From the directors to all the staff we send our gratitude for going above and beyond to keep her comfortable and engaged in as many activities as possible. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you. DO NOT move your loved one here, if you do install cameras in the room and monitor 24/7! Disappointed is an understatment by the level of care my mother received at Colonnade Carrollwood. She lived there from 2023-2026 and we trusted them to provide a safe and attentive environment. Instead there were multiple instances of neglect, specifically on 12/26/2025 when a 'care'giver found her on the floor at 7:15 pm, yelled at her (hands on her hips) 'what is wrong with you' and left her ON THE FLOOR all night until morning shift found her at 6:30 am the next day. Luckily we have this on camera along with several other incidents what were all brought/shown to management, which was deflected and nothing was done. That employee still works there. I also witnessed a 'care'giver in the lobby yell at a wheelchair bound resident and when she didn't listen, this person raised her to hand as if she were going to hit the resident. I reported this as well but was told lobby cameras were not working that day. I would STRONGLY urge anyone looking at this facility to consider other options.

(Originally, mixed up review with the first place my grandma was at) When she started staying here, THIS place was a million times better. The staff is always kind. They truly make an effort to get to know the whole family on a personal level, greeting you by name. The building is always clean. I've never seen it dirty once. They provide fun activities for the residents throughout the day. The food was good. We were able to bring Pepper, my grandma's dog. After every visit, we were able to walk away with peace of mind, knowing she was in good care. Certain staff members went above and beyond treating my grandmother with such care all the way up till the end. My family is forever grateful for your kindness (i apologize, I wish I knew her name..the black lady with the contagious smile and heartfelt laugh..had hip/leg surgery) she deserves special recognition especially.

My mother is a new resident. Our experience at every touch point has been refreshing, loving, sensitive, and genuine. My mother says that this is so much different than where she was. Each employee is part of a team, part of a cohesive system that intends to help every resident feel like a very important and personal part of a community. Day 3, and we are happy to be here.

Colonnade at Carrollwood has been a fantastic home for my mother-in-law. She moved in with some trepidation after living independently for years, but from day one, she felt welcomed, safe, and genuinely cared for by the entire team. The staff goes above and beyond to make her feel like family, and the warm, friendly atmosphere is something I notice each time I visit. The facilities are well-maintained, and there’s a wide variety of activities to keep her engaged whenever she wants. We moved our dad to the Colonnade the beginning of July 2024. He has been so much happier here. The staff is so warm and friendly, the community area as well as residents rooms are kept very clean and decorated very nicely as well as being bright and cheery. What a great place for Mom! The staff loves what they do, and you can really tell in their care towards residents. They take such good care of her and make her feel so special everyday, without fail. Stopped in to visit the family at facility and I could not have been more pleased. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. The staff was very attentive and have always provided excellent care for my family. I was amazed to see that the facility plans many daily activities to keep the residents active. As soon as we walked in the front door we were warmly greeted for our tour. My grandmother was looking at options of assisted living. We visited several and felt like The Colonnade at Carrollwood would have been the perfect fit for her needs. The staff was friendly, went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, and followed up. The residents seemed very happy during our tour and the it was very clean. The apartment size was perfect. The activities offered would keep anyone busy all week long. At the last moment before making our decision a family member invited my grandmother to move in out of state. Otherwise, The Colonnade at Carrollwood would have been her choice! Thank you to all the staff for their patience, friendliness, and compassion.

My therapy dog and I volunteer here weekly. The residents are well cared for, active and happy. Staff are kind and seem to genuinely enjoy their work. I would absolutely feel comfortable having a family member here.

My mother entered Brookdale Carrollwood in early December after suffering a mini-stroke. She needed 24/7 care. The staff at Brookdale attended to her needs with professionalism and genuine care. Knowing she was a new resident, the night staff regularly checked in on her insuring her comfort. I witnessed that fact after arriving at 7:00am on her 2nd day to take her to a 9:00am doctor appointment. Initially, my mother was not communicating, nor eating much. When she didn't show up for meals the staff followed up every time and would even bring a tray of food to her room. As I visited each week, the staff kept me updated on her progress. She opened up more with the other residents and attended meals in the dining room. Her transformation was nothing short of amazing. And at the age of 89, she even had a little more pep in her step without needing a cane or walker! Thank you Brookdale for ALL that you do! George Murray

My mother was a resident for years and loved Brookdale Carrollwood. As a family member I found the staff to be exceptional. The care my mother received was outstanding. She considered this her home and enjoyed the different activities provided. The dietary staff and meals were wonderful.

All the staff here is excellent, never have I seen such passion given in helping the ones in need and Brookedale exceeded all of my expectations. The servers were exceptional and blew my mind with how quick they met all of the guests needs, and the nurses were also very kind and respectful. Would do 6 out of 5 stars if I could!

There are so many great things happening at Brookdale Carrollwood! The residents are well cared for and engaged. This is the most "artistic" community I have ever seen. You can find amazing artwork and crafts in almost every resident apartment. The culture in the community is reflective of a high performing management team that I am privileged to work with. I can't say enough positive things about Brookdale Carrollwood!

My grandfather has been here for a couple months now and is very happy. So far our family is very satisfied with Brookdale Carrollwood. They've always got something going on in the lobby to keep residents engaged. The staff has been very attentive and caring. My grandpa says the food is pretty good. He's put on a few badly needed pounds since moving in. The place always seems clean when we visit, which is weekly. His laundry is done weekly on a consistent basis too. They renovated his room from top to bottom before he moved in and it looks great. He got brand new everything, including a new kitchenette, mini fridge, and bathroom vanity/sink and fixtures. They even regrouted his shower at our request. Long story short, this is the happiest and healthiest I've seen my grandpa since my grandma died. He stays engaged and interacts with people now. We've seen a huge improvement in him overall since he moved in. I've also been over there very late in the evening, and personally witnessed staff quietly poking their head in to make sure residents got to bed safely and didn't need anything. We feel he's safe and watched over there. My family would definitely recommend Brookdale Carrollwood.
