Reviews The Willow
July 2024
My mother stayed at the Willows for one month in Respite. The dining was good and Joy was very friendly and would bend over backwards to meet the needs of the residents. However, that is the only good thing I have to say about the Willows. No one seemed to care enough to even supply the very minimal services to her. Their prices are very high compared to other facilities. I moved my mother to Steeplechase which is a much nicer facility with loads of activities for the residents. She is much happier there.

I cannot say enough exemplary things about The Willow and its entire staff. Always go above and beyond what is expected. Two recent examples: my mother misplaced her hearing aids. I looked through her pockets and drawers. No luck. Reported to staff and 1 hour later was notified by Brenda that she found them in a change purse underneath her socks. Amazing!!! Mom's somewhat bulky bedspread had spots of blood on it - as I live 2 hours away it is difficult for me to tend to these immediate needs. While trying to locate housekeeping person, I found Irene who said , with a smile, that she would take care of it immediately. My mom requires more care than can be delivered at home; but being at The Willow she is receiving THE BEST CARE. I call them frequently to give examples of outstanding performance and let them know how much they are appreciated. Can't say enough positive things about the staff, attention, and care that is showered on residents at the Willow. And I feel qualified to say this since we had experiences with another facility. Thank you so much for everything you do. Please keep up the excellent service.

I just wanted to share that I'm the new ED at this community and been in senior living for over 15 years. I use to be a care giver and I understand what your love one is looking for. All I ask give us a shot and we do whatever it takes to make your love one happy. This place is very clean and has great outside views to it. Also the care here is very good. So come on down and let me show you what we can do for your love one. Thanks

I started working at The Willow back in February. The Staff of Directors, gave me an opportunity, to run their Activities Dept, based on my experience and resume. It has been a great experience so far. The staff are hard working and care so much about the residents. The people who live here really make it an environment they can call home. Overall the building is filled with passion and care amongst all the hardships of the modern day employment process. I appreciate the opportunity and I am looking forward to my time here.

The Willow is a family like environment. Staff go above and beyond for the residents. The best part is your love ones will not get lost due to the fact we are a small home like community. We know every resident by name and quickly understand all of their likes and dislikes. I am proud to highly recommend The Willow to anyone looking to place a love one in a safe and caring environment.

The Willow is a great place to work. I have been an employee for many years and it's nice that we are a smaller facility. We have a great team in place & working on getting additional team members to make it even better! We are focused on giving the best care possible, and the ability to give one on one care where sometimes in larger facilities it's difficult to get that service.

I cannot say enough about the staff. They are caring, nurturing, and kind! They are very open and always try very hard to rectify any situation or problems. I would highly recommend this facility!

Moved my MIL into The Willow March 2nd. We were amazed by the cleanliness and friendliness of staff and residents. I knew from the moment I walked in the door this was "home" It has not disappointed. From the activities (my personal favorite was Elvis) to the wonderful meals it's beyond our expectations. When I get to be a grown up I'm living in the Willow. I'm in my 70s now so not quite there yet hahah.. I absolutely love this place and everyone in it..

Its more than just a community for seniors, its a place of love and dedication to our elders. A home in which they can live their lives as independently as possible with a strong supportive staff to help.
July 2020
Ive recently been told by a Willow staff member that the number of residents has decreased by about a third, and that there are around 20 rooms open. Ive seen some evidence that raises the question as to whether the level of care is what it was a few years ago. Some reviews Ive encountered point to a rather significant recent turnover in staff. This raises some other interesting questions. My personal feeling (and my Mom is a resident) is that things may not be going as well there as they were. The calendar of events is impressive, as were the family gatherings that weve attended over the years, but also interesting is that they no longer seem to be offering family events during the day. All are now in the evening.

Would like to express our gratitude to the qualified and compassionate personnel at the Willow. Your early timing during this pandemic is a powerful indication of the respect and consideration your team has for all of its residents. While we sit at home, we can rest easy knowing you are keeping our loved ones safe, fed and entertained during this challenging time. Please pass on our sincere gratefulness to everyone there. It is clear from your updates your team is not just waiting for the storm to pass, they have learned how to dance in the rain, which is evident in the smile in Uncle Bill’s voice whenever we speak with him. A BIG THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU Stay safe, Bill’s 4 nieces

I found The Willow to be very welcoming with a caring staff that works together as a unit. Great meals in a dining room with fantastic views of the surrounding hillsides. They have an active and varied activity schedule including monthly family night gatherings. The vibe here is very restful and calm with friendly residents, and good picture puzzles to work on together. Sandra Krueger

A wondeful place where Mom stayed till she was in need of more intense care. This place was such a blessing for our Mother. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Lots of activities. Wonderful meals. Outtings. Patients with the residents. Understanding to their needs. Just a wonderful place for her to have been ablel. to live at. It was almost like her living in a motel. 3 prepared meals a day. Beds made every day. Private bathrooms to each room. Garbage collected every day. Vacuuming. I would definately recommend this place for anyone needing Assisted Living. Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping to care for our mother.
