We believe some of the nicest people we know show up on the 3rd floor at Sunrise daily to enhance life for 25 or so people with dementia problems. A recent series of events brought home more good reasons for being here. For a few years I have been ferrying my AD afflicted wife to her Primary care Provider and her Neurologist/Psychiatrist. At different and fine institutions but seemingly always understaffed. Standing in line, waiting and dealing with Medicare paperwork with an AD impaired person can be tedious. Also, she has frequent bouts of bronchitis, five or more times/year, for which our only known successful treatment is a burst of Prednisone, a six day process that requires a provider visit before it can be prescribed. We just completed isolation due to Covid 19. Since the onset of Covid my greatest fear was that my wife would not do well with a further attack on her respiratory system. On the Monday before we were diagnosed with Covid, Bronchitis came to her. Late Monday I called the Sunset Provider, he answered the call himself and said he would see her Tuesday AM. At our rooms. He did. He prescribed the Prednisone. It was delivered to the Sunrise med-Tech and administered that day. Whatever paperwork may have been required was done by Sunset staff. We both tested positive for Covid on that Friday and my wife came through it without a cough. Later when the Provider examined her, in her room no less, he pronounced her cough and wheeze free. He and I agreed that the speedy treatment for bronchitis likely saved her from the usual serious attack on the respiratory system by Covid. By having access to all these medical services in house, a possible disastrous medical nightmare was averted . Thank You. You run a tight ship. David Rollins

My mother has been at Sunrise at River Road for about 10 months and we are extremely pleased. She never thought she would move from her home she lived in for over 40 years. We looked at a few places, but this one stood out above all. The staff is always welcoming & helpful. The facility is always clean & the food is really good. There are different room sizes to choose- studio, 1 bdrm, & 2 bdrm that all have microwaves, refrigerators, roll in shower. Not only has my mother found a new place to live she has also made many new friends. She loves the back patio where she can watch birds & enjoy the sun. There are many daily activities for the residents & they do fundraisers for charities. There are all different levels of care including memory care. Guest are welcome at any time and residents are able to come and go as they would like. This is a beautiful community that is warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this community for anyone needing a little more help with their daily life.

A friend of mine has been residing now for over a year and a half at Sunrise in Renaissance, their memory care facility. It has been a good decision from the very beginning. The environment is lovely and welcoming and the staff members, headed by Katrina, are well-trained and supported. Their loving attention and friendly, approachable manner make it easy for the residents to feel accepted and respected. The staff to resident ratio is excellent so that care is given quickly and efficiently when needed. That's such a comfort to the family (as well as the resident). Everything at Sunrise is QUALITY! The availability and communication between resident and staff and family, is superior. The facility itself is attractive, always clean and well-maintained and the variety of activities, dining options and levels of care can't be beat. We searched multiple Memory Care facilities before making this choice and are very satisfied!

We came to Sunrise after trying the options, going it alone, family assist and caregivers at our home. My wife has Alzheimer's. We have been together for 70 years and did not want to be seperared. We were accepted into the memory care facility. It took some getting used to but with time, help and advice from a professional team we are home. My wife is involved in constant activities, is free to roam a secured area, has new friends, both staff and residents and I have returned to my part time charity endeavors with renewed energy. The building has a touch of elegance. It is spotless, expertly maintained, very family friendly and secure. My mother has been at Sunrise for over 3 years, progressing from somewhat independent living and enjoying the many activities Sunrise has to offer, to late stage dementia needing assistance with all aspects of her day. My parents are currently living at Sunrise at River Road. Here is thier expirence: About a year ago and a half ago I started looking for a place to move into. My wife's Alzheimer was progressing, I went to Phoenix several times and looked in at 7 places. I got tired and started looking in Tucson, a manager of an assisted living facility that had no Alzheimer's suggested sunrise at River, she was right. I took a tour that day and bought my wife a next day. She was happy and impressed. No buy in required, no one using your money. We have been living here since December 2021 and in this time have gotten to like it even more. The very nice caregivers and the management are more like friends than bosses and employees.We made some nice friends and you couldn't have more activities to choose from. Since 2014 our family has been involved with Sunrise at River Road in Tucson, Arizona. My husband, Frank was the one who found Sunrise Senior Living to admit his sister Paulina. She lived there until she died in 2018. Because of those ironies of life, since 2019 my husband Frank resides in Sunrise where - like his sister - he receives excellent attention and care from all the staff. Sunrise staff are exceptional. Facility is very nice as well. My mother was scheduled to move in but passed away just before moving in. The staff were so helpful in getting apartment ready to move in and then when we could not move her in, they refunded my deposit and funds. This was nice since they had really gone out of their way to move her into assisted living. They arranged movers, hung pictures, and fixed any apartment issues. Very helpful and understanding.

This is amazing place! My father is in memory care at Sunrise. During the Covid pandemic they have worked hard not only to keep the residents safe but also understand the importance of supporting their mental and emotional health. They actively encourage FaceTime with family and friends, and when the virus is on a down trend, they allow socially distant, outdoor visits. The driving force is the director, the woman at the front desk always has a smile on her face and a kind word, and the health director is organized, I trust her and her staff to always get my dads medicine correct. Memory care looks like assisted living, with nice apartments and a caring staff. I cannot think of a better place for my father to be.

Everyone who works there is involved with the resident and the family. They go out of there way to assist you in any way needed to make your loved one and you as the family member comfortable and secure. I do not have to worry about my Mom which is such a comfort. I know she is loved and her needs are being met. They communicate well about the how my Mom is doing. I know I can call at anytime and get an update. My Mom always tells me that she has many good friends and that everyone takes such good care of her. The food at Sunrise is amazing! Sunrise at River Rd is an upscale Assisted Living and Memory care facility. It is well ran and very beautiful inside. Parking can be a problem during busy hours.
