The fitness teammates are amazing! Their experience and professional skills combined with their efforts in consistently helping each individual participant to do their personal best gives a sense of belonging to a community that cares. And that is the Terraces of Phoenix!

Living at ToP has exceeded our expectations, rather than, as some people perceive, being 'a place you go to die' we have found that living here has enhanced our lifestyle and 'make life (more) worth living'. The friendships and relationships we've developed make ToP make it a very desirable place to live. I believe that approach Human Good takes in creating this lifestyle, supported by their not-for-profit business model, is critical.

The Terraces of Phoenix has been my home for 12 years. I feel so fortunate to be here. In a long ago conversation with my mother, who lived in a lovely community, we talked about the fact that most people wait too long to make this move. They seem to get this wonderful way of life mixed up with old nursing homes. Nothing could be further from the truth. We decided that age 70 would be perfect. I was 69 when i moved to the Terraces. Now I am 81 and limited by a chronic disease, but I have so many friends because I was still active when I moved in. Living here is like going on a land-locked cruise: all you have to do is meet your friends for dinner, and there are shore excursions!

I would like to share my positive experience at that facility. My 90 y.o mother Zoua, was there overnight, but decided to go back home. Staff was excellent and very friendly. There was an RN Jennifer, who took a great care of my mom. Very kind and caring. Jacqueline Elam RN was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions in a great detail. She spent almost 30 min with us and was very courteous and professional. Both assisted my mom when she decided to go home. Both were very supportive and understanding. Great place. Great staff. Very friendly and caring atmosphere. Thank you.

The people that work there are nice and are trying their best, but they are severely understaffed. Which means that the patient suffers. When someone needs assistance to go to the bathroom but it take 20 mins-30 mins to get help. Well you can imagine how the patient felt holding it in. Anyways the area is nice which is a plus.

My husband was there for 2 months. He would not have walked out without the care and prayers from everyone. The physical therapists, nurses, aides, management, dining personnel, too many to mention. The food was great with so many options! The rooms were cleaned and well maintained. The grounds are amazing and very well kept. Beautiful flowers everywhere with our beautiful native desert plants throughout. We would highly recommend for anyone needing special care or even a new retirement community.

My wife and I visited at least 10 life care or senior living facilities before coming here. The Terraces offered attractive apartments, a convenient location, and beautiful landscaping. We felt comfortable during each visit to ToP but it wasn't apparent until after moving in when we discovered the wonderful relationships between residents and the friendly, caring actions by the team members.

My experience working with a private client at The Terraces of Phoenix (Assisted living area), is superior, the entire team that assisted in the care of the resident, from front desk clerk delivering her package to apartment, Med techs, house keeping, most of all the amazing kitchen/ dinning area, the healthy and delicious meals from the chefs, at times goes above and beyond their duties ensuring the resident are happy and well fed at meal times, fine dinning styles with traditional and international menu idea. Beautiful landscape, walking trail with wonderful sight seeing for resident. Not to mention activities daily. If you are looking for a place to called home, peace of mind. Denfinely recommend this place. Five Star +!!

The staff are very kind and understanding and the physical therapy has helped my Nana immensely. Before coming here, my Nana had fallen several times and severely damaged her spine and after only a few months she might be able to come home soon. We've tried other facilities but no other place has the same level of care or even the same amount, between physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care, etc. (plus the food is delicious).

Wonderful community. Professional, caring staff. Great, friendly residents. Spacious apartments, secure parking. Beautiful, spacious grounds. Activities galore.

Staff is good, place is pleasant. But the elevators are constantly breaking down. When I was there I spoke with the nurse manager and she assured me my mom, who lives upstairs and uses a walker, would be informed when there are breakdowns so she doesn’t make it to one elevator only to have to go to the other end of the building to take the other elevator. However, this is not happening. This is a safety issue and the management does not seem to take it seriously. This was going on 2 months ago at least and is still happening today.

This place rates with a 5 star Hotel everything is kept brand new. I have spent 2 week in there rehab center for a broken hip. This is like living in a hotel. The food is great, you select 3 fresh cooked meals a day. The doctors are top of the line, the care for your every need. Nursing and care staff are there every minute you need them 24-7. The therapist with there hands on care are understanding, caring, and attend to your every need. They want you to get better!!! And help in every way to make it happen. The cleaning staff keep this place Immaculate. “No Hospital Smell” The front office staff has made all the paperwork and transition to home a perfect and smooth experience. They make sure your insurance, after care doctors, home care nurses are all taken care of before you even leave everything processed correctly the first time. I would recommend this place to anyone for long term living or Rehabilitation care. What a great place to be when you really need help!

My mother was in the skilled nursing facility at The Terraces for over a month. Her care was more than adequate considering her age and her needs. I did have an issue with the facilities administrative staff but once my frustration reached the proper personnel I think The Terraces went above and beyond in resolving my issues. They continue to assist with administrative issues even though my mother has been out of their facility for weeks. We all know something is going to wrong in a high stress situation and for me it is how a company resolves the issue once it is brought to their attention. Would not hesitate to utilize The Terraces again.

If you have a loved one move out from the terraces don't expect to get you money back for a long time up to a year. And if you call to check on it you will get bounced form [name removed], to [name removed], to [name removed] to [name removed] and it goes on. By the way none of there voice mails seem to work.

My husband and I decided we needed to prepare for living somewhere dedicated to "elder" care and after many trips looking around Phoenix, we discovered the Terraces. Six weeks later we joined the many who lived in this remarkable, joyful, supportive, clean, and beautiful facility. And the staff is by far the most well-trained, helpful and attentive. The availability of classes and lectures is great for keeping mind and body healthy. We love it and will never go elsewhere.

My late husband and I moved to The Terraces in May, 2015. Overall during the past seven years, there have been many positive experiences and a only few difficult ones that with patience, understanding, and respect were overcome with little animosity. Speaking generally, it’s challenging to live in group settings when we’re culturally not adept in collaborative relationships. But all in all, our expectations and experiences have matched up well at The Terraces. I’m very pleased that we moved here.

I have lived at the Terraces in independent living for over nine years now, so I have a fair amount of experience here. I think it is a wonderful place to live, with a warm social atmosphere. People make the real difference, and both the residents and the staff here are great people. The Covid pandemic has provided many challenges of course, but the staff here have provided the residents with a safe and supportive environment.

I have been a resident at the Terraces of Phoenix since August of 2015 which by local standards makes me a "long-time resident" and while nothing is perfect, and 100% of what one looks for is never attainable, certainly 80 to 85% is truly outstanding. I moved here knowing my wife who was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease would ultimately need the kind and level of hands-on care I could no longer provide. At the time of her death, I said my move here along with our transition from New Jersey were the smartest moves we had made during our 60+ year marriage. I found a loving and caring home expanding the size of my "family" several times over. We are blessed to have Jaime Roberts at the helm whose incredible leadership brought us safely through the horrific COVID pandemic. She and her wonderful team of caring, talented, and knowledgeable staff left no stone unturned in bringing us to the light at the end of the tunnel. For me, the Terraces brought me a home that is safe, happy and provides peace of mind to me and to my children and grandchildren.

My Mom lived in independent living at the Terraces for 10 years. For the most part, she was very happy. She had a nice apartment, lots of friends, was active and enjoyed living there. After she died, I discovered 2 serious issues. Firstly, all of her good jewelry was completely gone. All that was left was her costume jewelry. Whoever took it, had time to go through it and steal all the expensive stuff. Mom never had guests in her apartment, but did have a few aides, all of whom I knew and were from reputable companies (ie visiting angels). Otherwise, it was the Terraces cleaning staff that had access. I'm not accusing them, but I wish we had kept her expensive jewelry under lock. Additionally, Mom developed dementia which was bad enough that she turned over her checking account to me. She couldn't even remember how to write a check. The management at the Terraces were aware of her deteriorating status and had recommended we put her in assisted living a few months before her death. During that time, they got her to sign an agreement to pay their non-profit (which helps people who can't afford to pay, so the Terraces gets their money) $50,000 at the time of her death!! She couldn't write them a check so they had her sign a promissory note! I found the agreement soon before she died and she had no memory of it and didn't want to give it to them. I hired a lawyer but the Terraces fought back with their lawyers and, unfortunately, I didn't pursue it any further due to escalating legal costs. I feel they took great advantage of her. Beware.
