Wife & I stopped in for an unscheduled, Saturday afternoon visitation to see what’s being offered @ The Windsor of Ocala. We were treated to a first class tour by Hannah Phillips. who covered everything from staffing, , dining, apartment floor plans, etc. (the same things you’d expect every such facility to cover). Hannah was most impressive in answering all our questions and explaining to us the positives that separated The Windsor from it’s local Ocala completion. It wasn’t as much about the physical plant, (which showed extremely well) and the myriad of services (similar to what they all offer) as it was about staffing longevity, and perhaps a more personal/intimate approach to Senior Care perhaps made possible by the smaller size of this facility . Her presentation was most professional with a noted positive energy mirroring that of this facility. The word “Apartments” rather than “Units” hit home when approaching each entrance. Tastefully painted doors with detailed moldings & wreaths made for a most welcoming first impression. Little things that matter. No “institutional” feeling here. We recently moved Mom over to the Windsor of Ocala and what can I say…Amazing…She absolutely loves it and can't say enough about the staff…Kristen, Brenda, Shavonne, Brittany to name a few. She recently had a minor fall and the care she received was fantastic. The Windsor goes that extra step to make sure her stay is enjoyable. I would highly recommend Windsor of Ocala!!!!!

We toured the facility for my father and spent a lot of time with Brittany Johnson who showed us around and answered all our questions! It is a beautiful facility and the staff goes beyond making you informed and feeling like you are part of their family!

My family and I really like the fun activities that Windsor assisted living comes up with. Just this past Saturday, we made charcuterie trays together. It was great fun! Everyone was listening to chef Vivian, on the how to's, and Kristen and Brenda were assisting AND cheering us on. What a splendid time. For once it was okay to "play with your food!" Thank you Windsor, you make caring for our beloved parents a joy.

What an amazing facility & staff! I anticipated the transition we be difficult if not impossible for my dad. A few rough days but in a manner of weeks he told me to sell his house & that he was happy there. A month later I asked him to tell me the things he liked & disliked at The Windsor and he responded that there was nothing to dislike, the food is great, the staff is exceptionally nice, it's beautiful and he's very comfortable. I could never have imagined this journey would have been so smooth. The level of care is extraordinary and I'm at peace with him there. A special thank you to Brenda & Shavonne, you ladies are life changing!

After reviewing dozens of facilities and visiting 6, we chose Windsor of Ocala because they seemed to be set up to honestly care for people that honestly needed care. Most places quickly concluded that mom could live only in Memory Care, not Assisted Living. Windsor is one of the few that is successfully integrating residents with dementia intermingled with residents with sharp minds that need only physical care. We knew mom had dementia, but never imagined that she would still be struggling to find her room 9 weeks after moving in. Every single staff person treats mom with dignity, patience, and competence - every hour of every day (and night). That doesn't happen by chance. That is the result of competent management to systematically create (and maintain) a 'culture of caring'. I have eaten over 20 meals with mom, and the food is surprisingly good. Every time we have 'pulled the cord', response time has been under a minute. The physical therapy for mom's broken hip has her walking better than before she broke it. Mom's Care Level (and cost) is going to need to go up as her Alzheimer's progresses, but as long as she can stay in her large, homey suite in Windsor Ocala, there's no way that she is going anywhere else. If you want the best for your mom, this place should be on your short list.

After a visit with Brenda Pickard and the great staff, Brenda gave us a tour of the impressive facility and activities. The residents seemed happy and the facility is beautiful and well kept. We signed up for an apartment for myself and really look forward to becoming a part of the community. By the way, their cheese cake is outstanding.

After years of bringing my Dad here for special events it came time to consider optional living arrangements for him, he turns 99 next month. Although he hopes to stay in his own home "forever" and I told everyone that up front, when I visited to preview apartments, services, etc. I received the most kind and warm welcome I could ever imagine. From the time I was greeted at reception throughout my entire visit and tour Brenda, Marty and everyone there was patient, honest and truly focused on his needs and what I was looking for on his behalf. I fell in love with the apartments; big rooms, calm colors, each with a safe kitchen, bathroom and living area all with a touch of elegance, tradition and respect for privacy. Brenda listened to my concerns about his unique circumstances and candidly shared what variety of living arrangements and even outside services (like Hospice) could be incorporated into their community. I was truly impressed with their professionalism and deeply touched by their gentle approach as they took the time to learn about my Dad, and then Brenda came to visit us! It was amazing, she and Dad got along great! He's still planning to live at home for now, but he and I both now know there is a warm and welcoming option available at Windsor of Ocala. Thank you for a wonderful and heart-warming visit!

Their integrity and kindness was a tremendous support to me in this difficult and no doubt final transition for my Father. They helped me to feel like I am not alone. This is the very best in Ocala, and better than in most other places. The age in place philosophy is not common in most senior communities. I HIGHLY recommend The Windsor for independent living with as you need it assistance options. You neednt move a loved one (or yourself) from facility to facility as the need for assistance grows.I contacted The Windsor by email from out of state. Brenda was lightning fast getting back to me and interested in the details of my search for a family members relocation to Ocala. Her genuine concern to assist us with our search was incredible. She accommodated my erratic schedule cheerfully, and welcomed us for the tour as though she had known me for years. There was a personalized greeting on a photo stand as I entered. Brenda is an expert in her field and determined to assist in every possible way. She describes The Windsor as a cruise ship on land with all of the attention to residents that phrase implies, with the top priority being health and safety. The grounds, services, accommodations and dining are of the pampered nature one experiences on a luxury cruise. The staff exudes a willingness to help and is cheerful. The low rate of turnover indicates a great place to work. That says it is a great place to be for residents as well. Better than 5 stars all around.

My Aunt choose this place to live and I can tell you this after a year of experience. They have very skilled persons who are gifted in accommodating even the most difficult residents (my Aunt for instance) Marty, Christian and the staff truly love the residents. They can handle most any thing that a challenging resident can offer. They have the experience it takes to make a lovely home for those that we love. They go way out of their way to be sure everyone is safe and comfortable. This place is great! You can be confident that your family will receive the best of care.

This was my first encounter with Windsor and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the outstanding staff. The networking event had food prepared by the staff chef and the presentation was wonderderful and also delicious!

Pappy didn't want to go into The Windsor but we didn't know what else to do- he couldn't live alone and 6 weeks at our house proved that wasn't workable either. Less than 24 hours there he told me that he loves his new home & that everyone there is so good to him. Three days after moving in he told me, "The Windsor was wise." It means so much that we don't worry about him! He's getting the help he needs, and the personal space that he desires. So far, it's been great!

Former Employee I truly loved this job, the residents, and my fellow co-workers. However, certain management does not have respect for the employees, nor listens to them or takes concern. Its like fighting to even be considered. On hands with my actual job, I loved it. But feeling like I could turn to higher management was not something I felt like I could do, especially with the warming welcome.. I am usually not one for a negative review.. in which I dont think this is. Its more of for those whom may be looking for a job, and want a place that will work with you as much as you do for them. I was very disappointed to have to leave, but under certain circumstances I had to, and once again I was not heard when those circumstances came about. I was merely shoved to the side.

The local NAIFA chapter had our monthly meeting at The Windsor today, and I have to say they were more than accommodating! Not only were they very friendly and helpful, but I can also say without a doubt that Wendy is passionate about her work. Also, I have to mention that the food is absolutely amazing, kudos to the chef and his team! A very lovely facility, I would feel very secure if my loved ones were at The Windsor, and I would recommend to my clients and their families!

We have been attending networking events at the Windsor of Ocala for several years now. We always find the facility to be immaculate, the food is fantastic, and you can really tell the staff is very attentive to and caring towards the residents.
