We just moved my mom who’s 90 into a beautiful apartment at Chambrel Ocala. She loves it !! The FOOD is great and there’s a great menu daily for 3 meals a day. Everyone’s is so helpful and knowledgeable they are taking great care of her needs plus they make every resident feel special. Call today for a tour and appointment with Dana Smith. My dad has been a resident for over 5 years now and has been through several changes in the administrative staff. He loves many things about the community, but mostly the Director of Nursing (Michell)!! She saved his life!!

Our mom has been at Brookdale for 9 years. It is the best decision that she and our father made together. He was so well cared for when he had dementia. Mom has always thrived on the social activities and friendships that she made. She is now in memory care. Although it was difficult we knew mom would be in a safe and caring environment. Soon after she moved in my sisters and I had an opportunity to visit her and meet the nursing care team. I am pretty sure that I met 4 people that had known mom since she and dad moved to BD. My heart was so happy to know that she was in a safe place with people that truly knew her and would be caring for her. Thank you to you all for everything that you do for our mom and the residents of Brookdale.

My 88 and 89-year-old parents were unable to live in their home by themselves. We began to look for an assisted living facility. We met Athena and Heather at Brookdale. They made the move very easy and my parents love it here! I highly recommend Brookdale Chambrel at Pine Castle. The staff here really cares about the residents!

It would not have happened of it weren’t for the amazing professional staff, Tim and Athena, but that’s not to discount any of the amazing people that work so hard there to make my parents comfortable in their new home

My family member has lived here for 6 months, and is very disappointed in quite a few things. Having come from a community with a lot of activities, he was drawn to the scheduled activities, the fitness center and the pool. The classes here lack enthusiasm and are terribly repetitive. The equipment in the fitness center is seriously old and the pool hasn't been open since he moved in. They are very shorthanded with the cleaning and laundry staff. Overall, this particular Brookdale isn't very well run. I would say if you are in independent living, you may want to look for a place that is more active and fun and better managed.

I visited Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle after contacting Suzanne from out of state. I was looking for a family member. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for independent living with an option for a-la-carte assistance. Suzanne was awesome. She answered my email promptly, was knowledgeable, courteous and genuine. My schedule was erratic, and Suzanne accommodated it cheerfully. When I was onsite to see the model, Suzanne was prepared for my incessant questions. The apartment was spacious and the grounds are lovely. The follow-up was impressive. Suzanne will help customize the assistance and ensures that you have complete understanding of what they do and do not offer as well as what is included in basic pricing and what is extra. She never gives the impression that she is in a hurry.

My mother has been a resident here for four years. I have been very pleased with her care and the staff. This facility offers the residents many opportunities for gathering and promotes social interaction. The Hospitality Team makes it fun for all the residents who wish to participate in the daily activities. I would recommend Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle for your family member.

David took residence during the beginning of Covid-19. We were very blessed to have the facility accommodate our needs during this trying time. His needs are increasing more rapidly than I expected but the staff at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle (BCP) have been there to ensure all his needs are met expeditiously. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is due to the fact that David's medications are still not being ordered through the VA. The VA will provide all of David's medications without charge due to his diagnosis from his service in Vietnam. However, I have been assured this will be resolved soon. I am forever grateful to BCP and staff for taking care of David in such a professional way and providing a peaceful, calm and clean environment for him. Thank you BCP!

Brookdale has a fabulous, caring staff. They make sure each resident feels special and that they matter. The way that they have handled the pandemic and their approach to safety has proven to protect their community yet still allow the residents to participate in activities and meals following protocols. I feel good that my mom is there and happy.

I’ve lived here for a little over a year. This is my first experience in a retirement living facility. I’m not sure exactly what I expected, but Brookdale has far exceeded it. My apartment is roomy and comfortable. It is thoroughly cleaned each week. The staff here are wonderful. I have my favorites of course. Just to mention a few; Athena, Tim, Doreen, Nancy, Theresa, JR, and all the restaurant staff. The food is excellent. I never expected to have menu choices. I fully expect to spend the rest of my twilight years here.

My Mom moved into Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle 3 years ago. One year ago we moved her into their Memory Care, Claire Bridge. It has been a hard transition for Mom, but I really believe the Nurses up to Administration have gone over and above to help her settle in. Everyone is caring, kind and willing to help. I am so thankful I know my Mom is being taken care of. These people are my friends and I feel my family.

My mother lived at Pinecastle for a few years before she passed away. The Director Tim Smith has improved all aspects of the facility and is extremely professional and caring. The dining room has improved and the food is great, but more important the incredible staff in the dining room is amazing working with the aging community. My mother made close friends and had a quality of life at 96, I can only hope for. The facility's cleanliness improved under this director and housekeeping did a good job. Thank you Tim Smith and staff for giving my mother such a wounderful quality of life in the winter of her life.

Our 92-year old loved one has lived at Brookdale Pinecastle the past four years and it has been an overall positive experience and home. The current Mission Statement is "We say Yes"; and my observation is the Management and Staff work to fulfill that statement. I am there 1, 2, sometimes 3 times per week and observe consistency: good housekeeping of apartments including personal laundry; clean and pressed linens in the dining room; food quality is good and the new hire of Dining Management has brought improved service; medications are administered within FL Statutes; there is no clutter in hallways or public areas (we had visited some places that had falling hazards). Management is visible and accessible (VERY important!). If you are looking to move a loved one to an ALF, I recommend Brookdale Pinecastle. Do be prepared for "transition pain" for you, your family and your loved one (it took as a full year). Remember the older we get, the more difficult change can be and little things can seem very stressful; your loved one has just relinquished their home and perhaps driving ability. Be patient with yourself and your loved one. Stay positive and reach out to Management with concerns. I rate it four stars simply because nothing in life is perfect.
