Lack of Engagement: There are no activities provided for the memory care residents. They are frequently left sitting in a room all day with only the television on. My mother was always left sleeping in her wheelchair. - Understaffing: There appears to be a shortage of staff, despite assurances that the facility is adequately staffed. Especially on the weekends as the assistant in executive director Do not work the weekends. - Resident Supervision: On numerous occasions, I have found multiple residents unsupervised inside my mother’s personal room.. - Misuse of Personal Items: a CNA was seen taking briefs/pull ups for other residents. Apparently, they have a lack of training the new hires. My mothers blood pressure was checked once a month despite being on blood pressure medication. Apparently, that’s something you have to pay extra for. - Parking Violations: A facility nurse was observed parking in a designated handicap space, which is disrespectful and inappropriate. Additionally, regarding the facility's camera policy, we were informed that while cameras are permitted, recording is not allowed. Upon discharge it was a very SLOPPY discharge.

From the moment we walked in, I knew this was the perfect place for my mom. The warm, welcoming atmosphere was immediately evident”fresh cookies were baking, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals filled the air. Even without an appointment, a gracious and friendly staff member took the time to give us a tour, which truly spoke to the level of care and hospitality here. The community has such a cozy, home-like feel, and that meant everything to us. My mom has now been living here for about a month, and she absolutely loves her studio apartment and the vibrant, welcoming community around her. The staff consistently go above and beyond”they are not only professional, but genuinely kind, attentive, and incredibly supportive. I would especially like to recognize Shalanta C., who was exceptional throughout the entire process. My mom experienced a few health setbacks that delayed her move, but Shalanta’s patience, compassion, and advocacy never wavered. Thanks to her dedication and encouragement, my mom was finally able to move in, and we are so grateful. There is always something engaging happening”bingo, Name That Tune trivia, ballroom dancing”and for quieter moments, residents can relax in beautiful shaded areas with rocking chairs and wonderful company. The community is also impeccably clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall sense of comfort and pride. I am truly thankful to Shalanta, Pam, and Chris for guiding us through this journey and helping my mom find such a wonderful place to call home at Madison Place. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Today I toured Madison at Oviedo assisted living and memory care with representative Shalanta Campbell. I was very impressed with the facility, and exceptionally impressed with her. She was so nice, caring, knowledgeable, and informed. I would highly recommend talking with her and touring this facility for your loved ones.

From the moment we stepped in we felt this was a great place for mom. Before this, the thought of placing our mom in a facility was not even a consideration. We have toured many facilities that didn’t give us that gut feel that it was a fit for mom. From my initial interaction with Shalanta, to meeting the office staff to the Nurses and support staff in memory care, we knew this was the place. The constant communication, the willingness to help with this difficult transition for mom and us as well. I would call it white glove treatment. Felt very special. Thank you to all at Madison!

For the next part of life's journey, Madison at Oviedo is a great place to call home. It's a warm and vibrant community that truly cares for its residents and staff alike. While we've had some hiccups, every issue is handled quickly and to our satisfaction. No assisted living community is perfect but this one does everything in its power to get close. It is lively, well maintained (very clean!) and fully equipped to support you or your loved one. My grandmother has lived there for 4 months and we are all confident in her safety, care and comfort. This team works hard to ensure each day is lived well.

Thank you for making my stay at the Madison just lovely. Of course I need to start with the staff. Everyone’s been just so wonderful and the next food. Oh my goodness so surprised the quality and quantity and service and cleanliness and just a joyful atmosphere. Just just so pleased AND satisfied thank everyone on staff involved in making myself and others around me so well taken care of amenities are lovely and just so nice being around. Lovely staff. Yeah, the food is so satisfying, nursing and a joy to eat with others around. It’s a social environment. Thank you for all you do again the staff is marvelous.

We selected Madison after visiting several ALF's in the area. We chose them because of it's hominess, security, location, and a sense of community felt during the tour. Our family member has only been there for a few days, but the move in process couldn't have been easier and we felt very supported during the transition. We have spoken to several residents and they all talk about how nice it is there, so that is the best news. We hope our family member will be happy there, but so far so good! She has been welcomed with open arms, kind smiles, and well wishes.

I have visited Madison for a few years. I have been in healthcare and operations for over 10 years. I am highly impressed with the building’s cleanliness, Programing/activities, and support from all staff to their residents. Every manager in each department, sales, business office, nursing and executive director.etc, do not hesitate to do anything possible to take care of their residents as if they are their own family. I recommend Madison for many as well as trust them with my own family members! Great job to this amazing team!

My sister, Camilla, has been a resident of the Madison for over 2 1/2 years. She is now in Memory Care and she is so happy! I can tell you that I visited over 1/2 dozen facilities in the Central Florida area before I found the Madison. None of them came close to what we found at the Madison. The caring staff I would rate as number one. These people know every resident and care about all of them. They are patient and kind always. The cleanliness is extraordinary. My sister is clean and neatly dressed and her bed made etc. every time I come by! The food is unbelievably delicious with a varied menu each day. The chef and kitchen staff meet the special needs of all the residents. They even know what salad dressing my sister likes! Everyone is like family. I wish I could send some pictures of the bi-weekly ballroom dancing with Joe, or the art projects with staff, or daily exercise with Cocoa. It has taken such a weight off of my shoulders to have all these people supporting my sister and me.

I live in Philadelphia and my parents lived in Oviedo. When my father passed, I needed somewhere for my Mom since she didn't want to come back to Philly . I found Madison, gave them a call and they welcomed her right away! This place is like family. The staff is the best. They have many activities for the residents. They showered Mommy with so much love. I couldn't ask for a better place. If you're on the fence about either assisted living or memory care...give them a call. You won't be disappointed.

I forgot to add in my previous review that not only are the meals thoughtfully prepared and healthy with choices -they are beautifully presented. The kitchen staff knows each person by name and they are concerned with the residents likes and dislikes and are incredibly caring and patient!🙏❤️

This is my second review of The Madison at Oviedo. My sister moved in over a year ago - in March. I wish I could give this wonderful, caring community 10 stars!! As my sister’s condition has changed over the past year- the staff has been so accommodating and helpful. They are always seeking ways to make sure she is happy and well cared for. I visit often and she is always bathed, dressed in fresh, clean outfits - with clean hair . I can talk to everyone at the Madison for advice and support - from the nursing staff and administration to housekeeping and front desk- they are always looking out for her!! As an example- I stopped by one afternoon and it seemed a bit warm in her apartment. When I spoke to the director about my concern , she immediately grabbed her keys and went to my sister’s room. Within 10 minutes she had called maintenance for a new AC unit and it was installed immediately! I pray for all the staff and residents at The Madison/Oviedo everyday for taking such good care of my sister! She continues to love the delicious meals and her room is spotlessly clean - all her clothes washed and neatly put away each week! I am grateful for their help and support!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

The decision of where to place your loved one who needs more help than you can provide is difficult beyond belief. There is so much to consider - their safety, their comfort, their feelings, your convenience, and of course, costs. I diligently researched before selecting Madison as the home for my beloved great-aunt. Madison rose above them all in several areas for me - location (close enough to my home where I could visit daily if desired), high level of nursing services offered due to being one of the few facilities in the area with a LNS license, cleanliness, and adequate permanent staffing. But the clincher for me was the people - Bruce Burk the Executive Director, Cat from Sales, Orlando from Maintenance, and so many others who made this all as easy as possible, showing genuine compassion and care for both me and my loved one. They made this difficult situation as easy as possible. Definitely recommend.

Wow! Where do I even begin with The Madison at Oviedo? What an absolutely incredible team of people they have here from the administrative team managing all the contracts and initial communication to the nursing team, the aides, housekeeping staff!!! From the moment we decided to bring my father from Dallas until his passing, the entire team went above and beyond! Even when major shifts in his care plan came the day before he became a resident there was never a moments hesitation that they could handle him. When his care needs began to exceed their highest level of care in stepped Vitas Hospice, as recommended by The Madison team. We couldn’t be happier with everything the Madison at Oviedo did for my father or what they did to help us take care of him! In addition to what they did for us, every time we visited, all the residents were very happy, enjoying the daily activities, and loved having visitors.

I needed to bring my 93 year old mom down from MA and find a place that would be right for her. I visited a few places and picked the Madison at Oviedo because it had good reviews and was close to home. Best choice I ever made! Mom was cared for and was very happy...and that was what was most important to me. She was given loving attention from Althea and her crew. She got to have great meals. She was surrounded by wonderful people. I can't say enough nice things about Bruce, Pam, Janice, and everyone else that I have come in contact with at the Madison. Mom finally left us a few weeks ago at 94. She had a wonderful life. I will truly miss all the wonderful employees and residents that make the Madison an outstanding place in my opinion.
