My mother has been a resident at Sunrise Senior Living for almost two years. While we experienced a period when the quality of care declined due to inconsistent staffing, training, and communication, I appreciate that the Executive Director, Jamie, who has been with Sunrise since January, has taken the time to listen to our concerns and has been responsive in addressing them, with the support of Jennifer Terry, Senior General Manager. The caregivers are compassionate and genuinely care about the residents, but they need consistent leadership and support to succeed. Specifically, J'Laine, Christina, and Sunita have been the foundation of the exceptional, consistent care my mother has received in Memory Care since the beginning. Maria, Bella, Cheryl, and Candy, who serve as the medication technicians, have also been an important part of providing dependable, compassionate care. Since bringing our concerns forward, I have seen positive changes and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of care. Memory care is challenging, and no community is perfect, but I believe Sunrise is moving in the right direction. Many promising new caregivers have recently joined the team. With continued investment in staff training, communication, and accountability, I am hopeful that Sunrise will continue to provide the compassionate, high-quality care that every resident deserves.

My dad moved in last month for respite to see if he wanted to live there. The apartment was nice but the real deal-clencher is the staff here; they always go above and beyond to help care for my dad and make him feel included. I am sure I am forgetting folks but Leona, Yolanda, Judith, Marisela, Lindalu, Greymond, and Max have all been simply wonderful. I really appreciate having such caring people look after my dad!

My grandmother currently resides in the Memory Care unit, and since I live out of state, it can be difficult not being able to see her often. However, I have complete peace of mind knowing she is truly well cared for. Sam, the Director of the Memory Care unit, has gone above and beyond”not only for my grandmother, but for our entire family. She has personally reached out to me and has even encouraged and facilitated my grandmother writing me letters from time to time. That means more than I can express, and it shows how deeply she understands the importance of family connection. Every member of my family who visits speaks so highly of her. They share how she is always present, greeting everyone who walks in, and acknowledging each resident with kindness and warmth. She stays actively engaged, creating meaningful and fun activities, and continuously finding new ways to ensure residents are involved, stimulated, and happy. What stands out even more is how she includes our family in the process. From my cousins to my grandmother’s great-grandchildren, she makes an effort to help us feel connected and involved. She has taken the time to educate us on dementia and has shown us how to better interact with my grandmother as her condition progresses. That guidance has been invaluable. I truly appreciate everything Sam and her team have done. Not every place provides this level of compassion, involvement, and positivity. I would highly recommend her and her team to anyone searching for a Memory Care community”you will not find a more dedicated and caring environment.

Well today was just to amazing that I cant do anything but share. This place has been amazing for my great aunt. I was blown away with how the feels were. My aunt was smiling and siging. Samantha i think thats her name she was an Elf. She was so kind enough to make sure everyone was having a great time and making sure everyone had water and making sure there was lots of smiles . Which I can appreciate because my aunt does not drink enough. Thank you Samantha you for sure are such a light and helping everyone that made contact with you. Max was just outstanding with the holiday party and we loved all the snacks. Even the nurse was out talking to everyone! Natasha she had little gingerman on how amazing is thag! The music was so spot on. I highly recommend this place it feels like a big family! Thank you all!!!!

I came in to visit our friend and was greeted by the nicest receptionist, Craig. He was so pleasant and was able to direct us to her room immediately. We encountered a couple of the caregivers and they were also very pleasant. The staff and overall appearance of the community was wonderful. I know people are quick to write reviews of how terrible things and places are, but I felt Sunrise and their employees needed to know how wonderful they are and the great work they are doing.

After checking out a few other senior living facilities in the area, my family and I were expecting just another run of the mill tour experience to see the grounds, glance at a room and sit looking at a mountain of paperwork. That wasn't the case here. We spent more time walking around to see as many rooms as we wanted, and interacted with some of the residents in the common areas. Everyone from the residents to the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A distinct difference from some that we visited. The grounds are very well kept, common areas are 5 star hotel level clean and tidy, rooms are the same (exceptionally well kept) and the area has a great view of the mountains. This facility is at the top of our list right now, and I don't think it can be beat by the final stop on our list. I know our next visit with my uncle will be just as fantastic and he will be thrilled to most likely be calling Sunrise of Westminster home soon. Thank you to everyone, it was a memorable tour!

My mother lived at Sunrise Westminster for just short of a year, first in assisted living and then in reminiscence (memory) care. The assisted living staff made sure that she joined the other residents for meals and encouraged her to participate in the community activities. As her dementia progressed, they kept a close eye on her and kept me informed as she experienced more and more frequent lapses. After a fall last spring, it became apparent that Mom needed more full-time care and monitoring. Bev Moraga, the Resident Care Director, shepherded us through the transition. She helped coordinate moving Mom's belongings to a new memory care apartment and made sure that Mom's return to Sunrise from the skilled nursing facility was as stress-free as possible. Bev was available answer questions and provide encouragement and support any time, any day throughout the entire process. After getting her settled into her new apartment, the reminiscence caregivers watched over her and treated her as a beloved member of the family. When it became time for hospice care, the staff coordinated getting care established and worked diligently to ensure that Mom was always comfortable, safe, and well cared for. Many of the caregivers and staff made it a point to just stop in and visit with her during the day. When Mom passed away, many of the staff and caregivers, both from assisted living and reminiscence care, stopped by her apartment to offer help and condolences. The Sunrise caregivers, support staff, and management team are phenomenal. This closeknit group is truly dedicated to providing a warm, loving, homelike environment while at the same time ensuring that each resident is receives the best possible care. They work hard to establish close, personal relationships with each of their residents and their families. I can't think of anywhere better than Sunrise for my mom to have spent the last year of her life. If you or a family member needs either assisted living or memory care, you won't find anywhere better than Sunrise Westminster.

My husband’s experience at Sunrise of Westminster has been stellar. That’s because team members are carefully-chosen, well-trained, competent, compassionate, patient, and amazingly thoughtful. All who work there are clearly committed to residents’ safety, care, and comfort. Every Sunrise team member I have met demonstrates, in words and actions, that residents’ welfare is their first and foremost responsibility. In addition, I am impressed with the staff’s availability and willingness to answer questions, when they arise, and to make adjustments, when necessary, to accommodate my husband’s unique needs. Remarkably, Sunrise of Westminster has kept all residents safe from Covid19. Without excellent leadership from the Executive Director, Sue Crawford, and strict adherence to protocol by every single member of the Sunrise team, that would not be the case. If you are searching for an excellent assisted living facility, I recommend Sunrise of Westminster without reservation.

We placed my Mom here in hospice for what we thought would be for a couple of weeks. Mom stayed there for 4 months in memory care. I visited the facility every other day and saw many activities, meals, happy hours, sing along, and more. The staff was amazing with the residents in Memory Care. They treated them with respect and dignity. I looked into other facilities, including other Sunrise facilities, and this one was the most welcoming and caring. They were always available to answer queations and concerns we may have had. The staff was so incredibly helpful when mom passed away, giving us the time we needed with her and supported us all along the way. I would recommend Sunrise to everyone.

My sisters and I moved Mom into Sunrise (Reminiscence) Memory Care just over 3 months ago. Sunrise is not as new and elegant as some of the other facilities in the area “ it is more homey and comfortable. The management team is great, but it’s the Care Managers that make me feel that we made the right move for Mom. Although I know they are paid employees, I get the idea that the Care Managers feel like they are part of a large extended family. The team members act like sisters and cousins, and they treat the residents like treasured and familiar Aunts and Grandmothers. If you are considering Sunrise Reminiscence for your loved one and have any misgivings, I suggest you visit at lunch time. Not necessarily to eat, but to watch how the Care Team interacts with each resident with respect and dignity. They joke with each other and the residents, but they know exactly where everyone is and what she is doing. They are flexible enough to let a resident eat cake before lunch, but firm enough to make sure she eats something nutritious. I’m fairly certain that I’ve seen halos on the heads of every member of the Sunrise REM Care Team.

Our family is extremely satisfied with the quality of care our grandfather receives at Sunrise Westminster. We could not ask for a better place and team of caretakers! He feels truly loved and cared for. The staff go out of their way to make each day special for him and the other residents. Our family knows he is well taken care of at Sunrise! We lost my grandmother a year ago and the Sunrise team was always very supportive for my grandfather and helped him grieve and adjust to his new life. They took amazing care of my grandmother and provided her peace and comfort for the last few months of her life while fighting her final battle with a terrible illness.. We could not have asked for more! I see some of the negative reviews on this site and I can’t believe they are true. My family visits many times per week and we have never witnessed anything but amazing care and service. I am not a very trusting person, but I trust Sunrise with my grandfather and they have never let me down! That’s really the best compliment I could give any business.
