My mother had to move due to finances and Pecan Point stepped up and helped us out so much when the other place messed up and she had nowhere to go. They went above and beyond to help us out. Everyone has always been super nice and we enjoyed having my mother there. Unfortunately, she had to move, but we appreciate everything that Pecan Point did for her. Highly recommend them.

I am from Arkansas and have been living in Texas for 3 yrs. My husbands job brought us to Texas. My mother lives alone in Arkansas 20 min from all family and the few friends that are still living. She recently decided she needed assisted living. I say all of that to say this. This new chapter for my mother will not be easy but however soon we can get her to Texas A Place For Mom has been helpful and put us in touch with Pecan Point. Facilities in Arkansas need to come here to learn how assisted living should be environmentally, care wise, etc. This facility is the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen (I am a disabled nurse) and I mean even cleaner than most hospitals. And does not smell funky either. There is pride in the care of the facility that emits throughout. Every employee we had the pleasure of encountering greeted us with a warm, friendly smile. And all of the residents we had the pleasure of meeting had smiles on their faces and were so kind allowing us to see their rooms. We enjoyed meeting each one. We hope we have the opportunity to move my mother in sooner than later. After visiting it makes sense why there is a long waitlist.

I visited Pecan Point for my sister, who has Alzheimer’s disease. From the moment I walked in the front door I could feel the warmness and pleasant atmosphere from the staff and residents. The residents were engaged and it had a homey environment. I learned so much about Alzheimer’s disease with my visit with Susie, who is their marketer and also a certified Dementia Practitioner. The Director, Andrea, was also warm and engaging. They answered all of my questions. If you are looking for Assisted Living, this is the place you want your loved one to be!

I have a friend/client who has been a resident at Pecan Point for some time. Recently the staff was concerned about her health and sent her to the hospital to be checked. She was fine but the concern and care demonstrated by the staff was above and beyond. They even called in after hours to make sure she returned to Pecan Point after a very long day in the healthcare system. They know their residents and care for them like family.

The staff has been awesome with loving compassionate and professional care. My husband and I visited a resident at Pecan Point and we were impressed with the beautiful foyer. The rooms were nice and led out to a pretty courtyard with seating. Pecan point is a wonderful home for any friend or family member who needs or desires assisted living. The facility is always clean and pristine, like none I have visited before. Additionally, all of the management and staff are fully committed to looking after their residents best interests and care. We are most fortunate to have this facility in our community taking wonderful care of families like they are residents of the Ritz. I could not recommend it any higher and thank those responsible.

I am very thankful to have found Pecan Point for my Mom. The decision to move Mom from her home was a very difficult decision that was made over a few months. I wanted a safe, small(ish), inviting and comfortable community that would have activities and events to engage Mom. I was also looking for a community that exhibited the same quality service over time. Thanks to Susie, Dana, Selina and so many other wonderful people, I’m very comfortable with my decision and Mom is being taken care of very well.

We had to make the tough decision to move our grandmother into an assisted living facility after several years of dealing with dementia and living with her family. Searching around all of central and north Texas, we spoke to several assisted living facilities. After speaking to Susie Jones and the staff at Pecan Point, it was obvious this was the best choice. They are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in dementia and assisted living and made the decision on which facility to choose an easy one. I could never have dreamed of how easy the move was on my grandmother. I was expecting the worst and could not have asked for a better experience and smoother transition. Every resident at the facility seemed at peace and happy with where they were. My grandmother immediately settled in and was excited about her new home and friends. I was greeted at the door by multiple staff members, including Susie, who took my grandmother in with open arms and began showing her around and making her feel at home. Again, I cannot express enough how pleased I am with our decision and Susie and her staff. We feel like we have known them forever and they are all part of the family. I would recommend Pecan Point to anyone and suggest they call and ask to speak to Susie.

My sister has been at Pecan Point for a few weeks now. Her transition has been smooth due to the quiet, calm environment. The engaging life styles team are dynamic. The dietary program is very good, my sister raves about your eggs and very crispy bacon! The building maintenance, housekeeping and laundry team are outstanding! Both of my parents are residents at Pecan Point. I am so impressed with the facility, the staff and the management. I have been very careful doing my research for Assisted Living/Memory Care facilities. I trust the management and staff that take care of my parents. The facility size is perfect. I had the pleasure of staying with a patient over night and I must say wow!!!! The staff was amazing and the facility is super clean and smells wonderful!!! Our elders are lucky to have such an amazing team here at pecan point Sherman!!

The staff at Pecan Point recently celebrated Father's Day by hosting a special event for families. They treated us to a tasty hamburger lunch that included french fries, watermelon, and apple crunch for dessert. For entertainment a talented vocalist sang a collection of pop hits from the 1950s and 1960s. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the celebration and a few of the residents even got out of their chairs to dance to their favorite rhythms! Overall I would say that the event was a smashing success. Thank you Pecan Point staff for making this a special day for all of us!

sadly some of the staff is rude inconsiderate and have no compassion for the residents others are very committed and devoted sharing a Godly concern be very cautious when trusting this facility to your loved ones some care is not provided in a professional manner by select supervising and floor staff

A family member recently moved to Pecan Point in the middle of this quarantine. As you can imagine, it was a very stressful time to be moving anywhere, and not being able to visit her made it all the more stressful....but the Director, Michelle Leigh, and staff at Pecan Point made sure she was made to feel welcome and cared for the very day she moved in. Change is not always easy, but sometimes change can be better. This is the case with Pecan Point. It has been a very good change. There are several planned activities for the residents plus the daily menu has a wide variety of foods that are well prepared. God Bless all the caregivers and staff. They are the silent heroes who step in when we cannot.
