I was in need of therapy and HarborChase of Shorewood was highly recommended to me. I found dedicated therapists who have given me the goal of independence. HarborChase has many amenities as well: Caring staff, professional medical care, creative chefs and enrichment activities! Best of all, friendship with residents!

I would definitely recommend Harbor Chase. The nursing staff and caregivers are outstanding. The care they provide is phenomenal. They work as a team. And I was taught there is NO I in the word TEAM. The front office staff is as professional, passionate and caring as any I have experienced and worked with. The care and compassion taking care of the individual residents and the family members cannot be taught it is within those individuals that work there . I will continue to recommend Harbor Chase to anyone who needs loved ones taken care of.

I am a physician and I have had my mother here for 3 years. She has been in assisted living care, rehab, and in the memory care. The people here are very caring. I will contradict another review that is listed here. Some of the things that person blames the nursing home for are not the fault of the nursing home. An incision getting infected is not the fault of the nursing home. As a physician and wound care specialist if an incision after surgery gets infected its due to the bacteria that lives on the patients skin at the time of surgery. There is always at least a 1% chance of infection and higher in someone with other medical problems. That is not due to care of the incision contrary to what the person believes. Therefore she was wrong and giving them one star. Like why she blames them for the rehab. The rehab process is initiated by the physicians orders and Medicare rules. The nursing home actually has very little to do with this. in fact if she probably had been a high rehab candidate she wouldnt be at this facility but would have been at a more intensive rehab facility. My experience has been contrary to this individual. The only problems I have ever had have been with outside independent contractors for services through Medicare but H arbor Chase has nothing to do with that. The food is exceptional. The staff are exceptional and are very caring. There will never be enough care unfortunately for those who are elderly to provide people with one-to-one care that some patients will expect. That would cost far more than any of us could afford. I would highly recommend Harbor Chase. That other review in person that gives this place a low rating is because she doesnt understand whats the responsibility of the hospital, the outside agencies and beyond the control of a facility. This is a five-star facility. The only way you could get better care is if you were extremely wealthy and could afford your own one-to-one nurses 24 hours a day..

Ive sampled the food at Harbor Chase before and the chef always prepares wonderful food. Yesterdays ribs and chicken dinner raised the bar. Everything was fresh, tasty, and unique. I think I will retire early to enjoy the food and the company of Valerie and Faith. Thank you for your hospitality.

We chose Harbor Chase of Shorewood for the location, size and beautiful design. The attention to detail in the bistro and the vintage photos make this facility stand out. From Assisted Living to Memory Care the patience, smiles and willingness to listen have been so important for us as a family. Mom loves her community of friends and that all staff knows her name and is willing to help.if needed I have such appreciation for all the staff. Everyone has been there to listen and will try to improve anything that is brought to their attention. It is a cozy and safe home for mom now which is all that matters.

We chose Harbor Chase for my father. It's great location-wise. The space is very nice. The smaller size appealed to us after him being in a very large facility that lacked in several areas. He is enjoying his days and living again after our mother passed away. He is able to participate in many activities and even gaining strength in therapy. The staff is good and know they are lucky to be able to care for our father.
