I recently had the chance to visit my mom at her memory care community after being away for almost a year due to moving out of state. I was honestly very worried before the visit because so much time had passed, but the moment I saw her I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude. She looked clean, well cared for, well fed, and most importantly she was smiling. My mom has lived at this community for almost four years now, and every time any of my six siblings or I visit, we are greeted with kindness and professionalism. One thing that really stood out to me during this visit was seeing so many of the same familiar faces still working there. That says a lot about the environment and the people who care for the residents. I especially want to thank the nurse Destiny and her assistant Britney. They are always so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took the time to give me a thoughtful update about how my mom has been doing. It meant so much to hear about her daily routines and how they keep her engaged. You can tell that it is not just a job to those two, it is their passion and they treat my mom like a family member who is loved. Even though my mom is now almost non-verbal, you can still tell she is happy. The staff continue to involve her, keep her comfortable, and treat her with dignity and compassion. Seeing that level of care reassured me more than I can put into words. Our family is incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful community caring for our mom. Knowing she is safe, respected, and surrounded by people who genuinely care gives all seven of us peace of mind. Thank you for everything you do for her and for all the residents. We just love THE WOODS OF CALEDONIA

I want to give a shout out to the CHefs and kitchen crew at the woods of Caledonia. Each month they have a special event for the residents and their families. This month was a valentines day party. Chef Dan and his crew including Jason, Aaron, Moussa, Brooklyn and Rylee produced an amazing meal. Steak alfredo, chicken parmesan with home made breadsticks, For the kids there where chicken tenders, tater tots and kiddie cocktails. there was a hughe tray of assorted valentines day desserts including cupcakes and chocolae covered strwaberries. my mother loved the event and wanted the staff to know how much events like this mean to her. Thanks again for an excellent job and for treating your residents like family.

Hands down the best care facility in Racine. It’s a family atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. Everytime I come here I’m welcomed with smiles and love. The staff are always working and activities are very extravagant. There is always something going on. If you are looking for a good place for your loved one to live this is the one. This community is truly a hidden gem. We started working with the Community in the summer to place our loved one, and right from the first initial contact with Kate and Destiny during assessment, leading up to finally last month when we had everything in place to move our friend in the staff went above and beyond. I was so worried that placement would be hard for our loved one, but Destiny the RN, went above and beyond to make the move in seamless. Destiny is so knowledgeable about dementia and how she approaches the disease that I could tell he was immediately comfortable. Her interventions and approach are beyond passionate. All the staff from management downstairs to his caregivers upstairs really really care. My friend who I have been friends with for a very long time has found a safe place to live, where the staff actually care about him. I love that they always have activities and dogs around for the residents to engage in, and they accept my loved one for who he is. He is eating well, skin improving, and thriving. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Woods of Caledonia for giving me the peace I need at night.

Review: The Woods of Caledonia “ Assisted Living When my parents reached a point in their lives where they needed more support, their greatest wish was to stay together. The Woods of Caledonia made that possible”and became an answer to our prayers. From our very first visit, we were struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is consistently kind, patient, and attentive”not only to residents’ physical needs but also to their emotional and social well-being. It’s clear they truly care. They’ve become like family to us, and my mother feels genuinely loved and well cared for. The community offers a wide variety of activities to keep residents engaged, from group events and outings to informal socializing. Every week, there are creative and fun activities, and once a month, the staff hosts special events where families are invited to join. These high-energy, joyful gatherings bring residents, staff, and families together to celebrate and connect”creating meaningful, lasting memories. Communication with families is excellent. We always feel welcome when we visit, and whether we’re nearby or far away, we have peace of mind knowing our loved ones are in such capable, compassionate hands. A special thank-you goes to Destiny, who does a beautiful job of coordinating care between our family, hospice, and the staff at The Woods. As a retired nurse, I truly appreciate how she makes me feel like an integral part of my parents’ healthcare team. She keeps me informed”whether I’m across town or halfway across the world”and her compassion and professionalism are truly a blessing. My father passed away this past April, and during his final days, the staff”working closely with hospice”ensured he had a peaceful, dignified passing, surrounded by his family. Their care and compassion meant the world to us. Just last week, the team helped our family complete a memorial in my father’s honor, dedicated to All Those Who Have Served. I cannot thank Jack and Marie enough for their support and kindness in helping bring this tribute to life. Their generosity and commitment continue to make a lasting impact on our family. I wholeheartedly recommend The Woods of Caledonia to any family looking for a safe, supportive, and truly nurturing environment for their loved ones.

My grandmother and grandfather moved to the woods Oct of 2024. After 73yrs of marriage it was so very important for them to stay together. My grandfather passed this last April and the staff of the woods surrounded grandma with love. One person in particular stands out is Marie Rasmussen. Marie decided to adopt my grandparents. Not only is she the welcoming face that greets us by name when we come to visit. No easy task with 11 kids . She goes out of her way to visit mom and bring her meaningful gifts. When dad passed she was instrumental in having a memorial plaque placed at the base of the flag pole. She recently helped us arrange a waffle bar on a Sunday morning to celebrate her 94th birthday. When the rowdy great great grandkids knocked over and broke her Robin (a meaningful reminder of all the years the grandkids raced to see the first Robin and after they reported it to grandma she would take them out for ice cream.) Marie stepped in to restore those memories. She carefully took all the pieces and gave them to her Friend Mark who painstakingly put the robin together again and repainted it so no one could tell it was ever damaged. Precious memories restored through her thoughtfulness. They say at the woods the residents become family and I have witnessed this many times since we have been there. Now Marie is part of the Becker family as well, always room for another sister.

my sister and her husband came here. In n weOctober 2024. The staff has been very caring almost like family. Always making visitors feel welcome. Each month they have an activity where family is invited to come and participate with their loved ones in some special event. It's always well attended I personally have been to the Mother's Day celebration and Father's Day a derwon as been the Hawaiian luau was wonderful with two story blowup, coconut palm trees Fire dancing wonderful food for everyone. A really fun activity Was the resident dad fashion show. This has been a wonderful experience

Some of the great things that I have seen within the community here is great care. Everyone is kind to each other from caregivers to residents. A smile or a wave goes a long way. Sharing a smile can mean so much. I’ve had exceptional care here. The biggest gift is having my husband right along side me as he passed away. They put my bed next to his and I laid my hand on his chest as he his heartbeat stopped. They don’t let you do that in other places. It was so special to spend those last moments together. Being a nurse myself I was never good at paperwork but I was good with people - this community cares deeply for their residents.

As a resident ambassador, I love this community. The residents have each other’s backs. We always look out for one another. The care givers take good care of us - especially Destiny, Brittney, Rhonda, Ashley, Antonia, and Ty. They always offer help whenever I need. This community radiates a warm and welcoming feeling. Every staff member is approachable and willing to go out of their way to find solutions to any problems. I love our activities and outings. I’m looking forward to going to the Milwaukee Zoo this upcoming week. The spiritual programming is special and much needed to practice my faith and instill the sense of family. The whole team of directors are kind and warm hearted. I am happy to consider the Woods of Caledonia my home.

I’ve had great experiences here as a resident in assisted living - everyone is friendly. I get the helping hand I need. I was in a hospital for 15 months before I came here and needed rehab, and this is by far the favorite places I’ve lived. The whole atmosphere of the community is open and it’s easy to make friends. It’s important to have each other and make meaningful connections. Bingo is my favorite activity and I will never miss a game. The food is out of this world ! We have the best cook. Whatever he makes turns out good. The care services are a 10 out of 10 experience.

We are so thankful for this community. It was our first choice over 8 months ago, but circumstances with our mother meant we had to go to a different place, but it was a disaster in care for her. After much frustration with that facility and a fear for our mother's health, we reached out to Kate, Jack, Destiny and Diane and they went so above and beyond to get our mother in and get her overall health and care stabilized that for the first time in over 8 months, we were able to relax at home knowing she was well and we are now spending quality time with her in an amazing space with amazing people! Look here 1st... I could write a novel of the great strides and effort this team of dedicated and caring staff in just the month of time they have changed our world! Thank you!

**A Wonderful & Caring Place** Moving our mother into assisted living was one of THE most challenging decisions we've ever had to make as a family. But the amazing staff at The Woods of Caledonia made the transition a smooth and easy process. The facility is always clean and welcoming, and the Marketing Dir. Kate S. hosts a number of monthly social events where residents and their loved one's can enjoy live entertainment and the (always) delicious food prepared by the Head Chef Dan! I actually waited to post a review, as I wanted to see if the warmth, sincerity and caring we always experienced from the staff would fade as time went by - it hasn't. The facility is smaller than most and therefore adequately staffed so caregivers are able to literally treat each resident as one should treat their own grandparents. I've never witnessed stress, frustration or impatience by any of the staff when interacting with the residents in their care - and I visit my mom often and at random hours. I simply can't express how much the medical staff, the floor nurses and activity directors genuinely seem to care about each resident. And the residents (even those in memory care) always appear to respond positively to the caregivers as well, which says a lot. We've come to consider the staff at "The Woods" members of our own extended family. I'm leaving this lengthy and honest review because our parents are important, and when they become unable to care for themselves, finding the right caregivers and environment only serves to improve their quality of life. That's all anyone wants for their loved one - good, honest, compassionate care and kindness. I wish I could list every member of the staff on this review, as they all consistently put forth their very best for my mom and I want them to know that our entire family is grateful to EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! Keep up the good work!

**A True Gem for Our Loved Ones!** Finding the right place for my dad was a challenging journey until I visited the Woods of Caledonia and met Kate. She was warm, welcoming, and passionate about the care that the Woods of Caledonia provides. Kate took her time to walk me through everything, and it was clear she not only loves her job but genuinely cares for each resident. The way she interacts with the residents is so kind and loving; you can truly see how much she cares about them. After that first tour, I brought my dad to meet Brittany, who was equally kind and thoughtful. She asked all the right questions to make sure it would be a perfect fit. Since moving him in, I couldn’t be happier with the decision! The entire staff has been wonderful. Every time I visit, Marie greets me with a warm smile and is always there to answer any questions I have. She’s a wealth of knowledge for new families and always willing to help out. The facility’s maintenance manager, Jack, made sure my dad’s room was freshly painted and moved in all his furniture. He even helped us find the perfect spot for a special sign we brought, making my dad’s room feel like home. Ryan, the executive director, has been outstanding. He understands the ups and downs that come with transitioning a loved one to a new place and is always open to suggestions. Ryan takes the time to get to know the families and truly makes you feel welcomed. He’s approachable, and it's evident that he and his staff care deeply about the residents. A special shout-out to nurse Destiny, who developed a dementia-friendly care plan tailored specifically for my dad. Her attention to detail and the dedication she shows to her staff’s training really sets this facility apart. I also want to recognize Savio, the housekeeping manager, for his dedication to keeping the facility spotless. When I had a specific concern that needed attention, he went above and beyond, even taking time out of his lunch break to address and remedy the situation immediately. It’s clear that he understands the importance of maintaining a clean environment and truly cares about the residents' well-being. At the Woods of Caledonia, it's not just about having a beautiful facility, but about the compassionate and dedicated staff who go the extra mile for your loved ones. From small acts of kindness to providing exceptional care, I wholeheartedly trust them to treat my dad like family. If you're looking for quality care, this is the place!

I am Karyn Schmidt. Our loved one has been here since late May. All areas are pleasing and well kept. Staff really care about residents and their families. Challenges are met promptly. Staff has been increased as quickly as possible in this challenging environment. We have seen steady increases in new residents, always a good sign. We have also seen several fun and entertaining events. Love the music which is so good for mothers care residents.
