I am just moving my parents into VPC. One into assisted living and one into Independent Living. The staff has been super accomodating and welcoming thru some very hard times for us. Special shout outs to Jenna, Victoria and Amy for all you have done for my Dad. And to Kerry & Diana for getting my Mom's apartment ready and giving much guidance thru out the process. Thanks for making VPC feel like home!

I have clients living at VPC who enjoy the community. The staff is wonderful and always very inviting. The community holds many activities & events. They hold many educational offerings and networking events that are always well organized. I enjoy my partnership with Village Pointe Commons. They always think about their residents and provide them with resources for additional outside help when appropriate.

I came to visit your establishment and worked with Kim Mitchell (who ironically shares the same last name) and she was a pleasure to work with! Made me feel proud that the Mitchell name was being represented well!!

We could not be more pleased with the staff and facilities at VPC. Everyone there has been both kind and attentive to my mom's needs. I feel like they go out of their way to help my mom, who at times can be a bit of a handful. The facility is always clean, the food is diverse and nutritious, and there is always something for the residents to do. A wonderful atmosphere for all! Thank you Village Point Commons!

Friendly staff, beautiful apartments and the peace knowing your loved one can transition when necessary.
April 2023
My parents were very well taken care of by the competent and caring staff. As they became more dependent on others, I felt confident that their needs were being met. It was very comforting to know they were in very loving hands.

My parents were uprooted by a hurricane and Village Point Commons was super accommodating in finding a spot for them in Independent Living. Although the apartment and facility is smaller than their prior, the attentive staff and all the activities make up for the size. Even the maintenance department is quick to respond to any requests. All the residents I have encountered have expressed their gratitude and happiness living at Village Point Commons. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for an active community.

Ann at the front desk is always so friendly and so helpful.

I feel it would be a great place to live if staff were properly trained and they interacted with the residents. The elderly need a positive environment and to feel a reason to live. There are a few exceptional staff members. A lot of weekends I've encountered are seemingly a nightmare. It's too lax without supervision. Residents should be given fresh water daily. The beds don't get made in a timely matter which logically would be after breakfast. Laundry isn't kept up. The room is often a mess being things aren't put where they belong. Staff is too chatty or on their phones. There have been plenty of times meds have been pushed back. It seems to me that the staff has their priorities mixed up. They need to disperse the duties amongst them.

My late in-laws resided at VP Commons. While there they were well cared for by a loving well trained professional staff. Their meals were delicious and nutritious. The environment was clean, orderly, bright, and loving. Thank you VPC for your care.

ANN M. AT THE FRONT DESK IS VERY HELPFULLY AND SHE CARES VERY MUCH AND PUTS MUCH POSITIVE EFFORT WITH HER POSITION. THANK YOU ANN!

My experience with Village Commons has been a good one. My mom was a resident in independent living for three years and has recently passed. During some difficult times- including the initial move into VC, and then again at the end, when we needed guidance on the next steps, I found the staff to be understanding and caring. They were helpful and easy to work with. The place was always clean and well maintained and my mom felt safe there. There is no shortage of activities or chances to meet and mingle with people. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking at senior living.

Looking for a home for a loved one in an assistive care environment? Let me share some things to consider so you can make a decision based on what you value. The front desk staff is helpful and gets to know the residents. A plus for sure. Now if you them to be at the front desk consistently then this will be a problem. The care staff are hit and miss- unfortunately mostly a miss.If you are looking for any additional help you either won't be able to locate anyone (even by phone which is suppose to be on them at all times) often OR you will find one to three of them all in the care room on their private cell phones, to busy to even look up to pay attention to what is going on around them. You will regularly see residents going to them to get meds, insulin/ blood checks or temperatures taken. If you want communication from the care staff then it all depends. If, say, an ambulance is called because your loved one falls, the good news is they called for one but don't expect you to get a call to inform you even when it happens a first time you have a nice chat about this ask that they call in the future , nothing will change so don't expect to get a call. Meals- you pay a nice fee that is to include three meals with choice in the dining room daily. Weekends your loved one will be lucky to get more than breakfast served with choice in the dining room so the residents can see friends and enjoy time together. Otherwise it's boxed lunch and dinner that they have to stand in line to pick up. No choice I. What you get in the boxed meals. Limited beverages and unless you pay for the additional level of care (and don't expect this to be consistent) they might help get the meals to you loved one. The outdoor areas are kept nice as well as most of the independent living common areas. The front lobby has a nice gathering place with fireplace. Nice touch. A coffee shop that is never open but does look nice. If you have an issue within your apartment- make sure you are handy and can fix things yourself. You'll wait forever or never get those repairs fixed unless you do it yourself. If you need assistive support for a loved one I would think really hard about the level of care they need. Managers keep changing, never work weekends (when the staffing is short thus the box meals to help out) and are hard to get ahold of.

The buildings are nice and kept up well, and the landscaping is attractive. The staff changes frequently, and mask rules in common areas are often not enforced.

Village Pointe Commons is not just a beautiful place to live but, the staff is incredibly genuine. Starting with the leasing agent for Independent Living. Kathy. This job was MADE for Kathy! Kathy was able to answer all of our questions and happy to show us any and every available apartment, each was more beautiful than the next with complete accessibility!.There were no hidden fees, everything was right up front and very open- no surprises! Kathy helped coordinate my father-in-law's move from out of state and everything was flawless AND flexible! There are so many wonderful groups, outing, activities, and comities to choose from you could never be bored! Other residents were very friendly, happy, and seemingly content. The meals and the kitchen staff are top notch!

My mother in-law lived there for 3 years and Everytime I visited the staff was kind and helpful. The building was bright and very clean. The residents looked happy and very friendly. This was a safe place for her to stay. Conveniently located in a very nice city of Grafton with a lot of things to do and see.

Thank you Village Pointe for being compassionate, kind, and responsive to our parent's needs. Kathy, one of the sweet staff members, knows us and our family members by name. She always greets us with a smile when we visit. We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful home for our loved ones. Your staff is very welcoming and it comforts us to know that our parents are in a safe, clean and beautifully decorated environment surrounded by caring and joyful people. Kindest regards, The Hillner family

My mom spent over 3 years at Village Pointe Commons before her passing. As the only daughter living out of state, it was a challenging decision to make as to where she'd live after selling the family home. Do I move back to Wisconsin or move her into a facility? I'll never regret the decision we made. She was able to engage in activities, make friends, maintain her independence and stay active. If she would have stayed with me, hardly any of that would of come true. Kathy Rassel, Relations mgr, is amazing. My mom thought the world of her and so do I. I would have given it 5 stars if the food was better. I'm a health coach so maybe it's just me. Good nutrition should be at the top of the budget for healthy bodies.

We were lucky enough to have my husband's aunt at Village Pointe Commons in their Creste memory care for the last months of her life. The care that she received, and the open lines of communication were good for her, as well as us, as she declined. My mother-in-law is living in a lovely independent apartment at VPC. She is on her own for the first time in over 50 years, and she is happy. She is enjoying herself tremendously and loves her new home. This provides all of us great peace of mind.
