My mother moved to the Gables Assisted Living in mid July. The team and residents made her welcome immediately. It was if she was their family right from the start. Jamie, Liz, Emily and Clay all contributed to this huge transition with so much help in getting her familiar and situated in her new apartment. As her daughter, I was fearful that my Mom would be wishing she was back in her condo. She has not once said that she would like to return to her condo as she is enjoying three meals a day, medication delivery, (no more worrying if she is taking it properly) assistance at the press of a button with a response time of only minutes, activities, therapy, friends, a hair salon, and it is all under one roof! I have not seen my mother this happy and relaxed in years. I wish we had made the change earlier. She didn't know how wonderful life could be at this stage I can't thank the caring and patient staff enough.

My sisters, Judy and Janielle, and I could not have found a better place for our sister Maryann. Everyone is very attentive and helpful, and there are always activities to keep Maryann busy.

We can't say enough positive things about The Gables Assisted Living and their staff. Our folks moved into The Gables in August and they both just passed. We miss them terribly yet they couldn't have been in a better facility, surrounded by caring staff. Liz and Jamie are kind, informative, and insightful - they coordinate seamlessly. Raquel's activities were a hit and we enjoyed the Facebook photo journals. Emily, the onsite nurse, is our hero and our folks loved her. Her compassion, professionalism, and planning ensured they were comfortable and well cared for throughout their journey. What a wonderful group - we're so very lucky we found them.

Our mom started at the Gables in the assisted living, now has moved in the memory care facility. We feel so confident in the staff and management there. We can leave for a weekend and know mom is in good hands. Their activities keep her always with something to do. We feel she is getting great care and it has a homey feel all around. If mom can't be with us at this stage in her life, she is right at home with them 🙂

Liz, Jamie and the entire team at the Engle Haus go above and beyond! We are so grateful to have a caring group of people looking after our Mom. Some days bring handyman needs and Clay is there...Raquel keeps the boredom at bay with fun activities, and their Staff RN Emily is an absolute Gem! There are many others to mention, so I will conclude with much gratitude to each one of them. Knowing our Mom is happy and well taken care of is a relief to our family, and priceless to our Mom.

My Mom is a resident of Matterhaus. The memory unit is heaven on earth for our suffering parents, sister's, brothers etc.. There has never been a time while visiting I haven't seen her busy doing a craft or playing a game. The staff are Earth Angels in my opinion. Very very caring & loving case management & staff. Matterhaus is better than 5 stars in my family's opinion

From the moment my sisters (Barbie and Sandy) and I met with Jamie and Liz, we were sold on Engel Haus for our Mom. It seemed the perfect fit for her. They answered all our questions (and there were many) and were wonderful with Mom. Her apartment with a balcony and the care she receives is more than we could ask for. As our Mom declines, Emily, the RN, has been an angel. Mom absolutely loves her, as we do. She is kind, caring, attentive, keeps us updated via texts and phone calls. She manages a staff of caretakers who are also very pleasant and cheerful with Mom. We now have Horizon Hospice caring for Mom also and Jennifer and her team coordinate with Emily on her medications and care as well as keeping in touch with us. it is truly the best scenario we could have imagined. Thank you for all you do for our Mom. We will be forever thankful for all of you, Kathy Fish

Me and my sister moved our mother into the Engle Haus last February. Needless to say, our mother absolutely loves living there. Our mother has plenty of activities to do during the day. I want to say a huge thank you to Raquel who is the activity coordinator for all her planning of the activities for the residence living at the Engle Haus. I would also like to mention Liz and Jamie for doing such an excellent job in running the Engle Haus so efficiently. Both me and my sister are very happy that our mom is enjoying her life at the Engle Haus!

I moved my aunt into the Gables Engle Haus several months ago. This was after she spent a year and a half at another facility with very poor care. I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Engle Haus and the care she is now receiving. My aunt was very depressed at her previous residence and now looks forward to getting up for the day. Thank you everyone at the Gables for all you do!

First of all! The staff at the Gables is amazing! Everyone has gone above and beyond what my Mother In Law needs with a smile on their face! My Mother In Law started at The Gable in Assisted Living, her condition worsened and after consulting with doctors and staff was moved into the Memory Care facility. At first she was confused and felt out of place, but it wasn't long before she fit right in! Now, she is as busy as a bee ! We can never catch her in her room for a phone call! She is out and about socializing and taking part in the many activities the staff put together for them. My wife and I highly recommend this facility! And most of all, so does my mother in law! My mom was the first resident to move into the Gables independent living area over 17 years ago. She loved the independent living facility., facility is always kept up and the management was great to work with. Had to move her to assisted living a year ago, while the aides have been great, there are issues, upper management is hard to work with, facility isn't really kept up that well, stained carpeting in the halls that doesn't seem to get cleaned. Food is so, so, cooks keep changing and the kitchen was not clean the one time I stuck my head in. Also the cleaning of the apartments is not very good. I wipe of floors myself to make sure they are clean. I go at least 5 days a week, so I keep a good eye out, but again, upper management hard to work with.

We moved mom into the assisted living Engel Haus in November 2020 amidst Covid and lockdown, hardest time ever not being able to be with her and visit her. But the administrative staff Jamie and Liz were so caring and understanding they helped me and my mom get through that tough time! I knew they were always just a phone call away to check on mom for me if I needed them to! That in itself is such a peace of mind for me knowing that the team of individuals running the place are so kind and caring and TRULY care about each and every resident there! I love how involved and personal they get with the residents family members and involve them in their loved ones decision making and cares. I love the random pictures I get texted to me of what fun things my mom is doing that day! Most of all I love the peace of mind knowing that if I have ANY concerns at all that I can be honest and up front with Jamie or Liz and my concerns will be addressed immediately they are literally a phone call or text away day or night!! Let's be real there is no perfect place for your loved one to be but the Gables Engel Haus for surely gives me the peace of mind that mom is being well taken care of and watched over thanks to Jamie, Liz, Raquel and Stephanie the RN. You guys ROCK that place!!
