If I could give this hole ZERO points I would. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY HERE. The owner is a POS, and management is garbage. Trust me, RUN!

Very dirty and bad place for residents. Neglect. Abuse. Severely disabled residents left in their soiled undergarments for over 5 hours at a time. Management unavailable via phone or text in emergencies. Many resident falls. Insect problem. Staff does not shower residents as per care plans. Uncertified resident assistants administering injections and supervising facility alone. This faciltiy is currently under Department of Quality Assurance investigation.

Awful place. I will continue to make reviews about this horrifying place until I am paid what is owed to me INCLUDING my shoes that were stolen by management or the staff they picked up off the street, are returned to me. The "Director"- [name removed] and "administrator" - [name removed] NEED to STEP DOWN from management. They are not qualified to have your loved ones' best interest in their hands. I don't even work here anymore and I continuously hear how state is IN AND OUT of this facility. Nothing surprises me at this facility. Residents are talked bad about amongst staff and management. Supplies were never on hand. There is no transportation. Medications "go missing" or are all together not given to residents because of lazy staff. No work/life ratio, at all. Your loved ones will be taken care of by tired/overworked staff as management refuses to do their job and fill the schedule. The director and administrator have cameras all over the facility, which is illegal by the way, even with consent. Personal belongings are stolen, and even with the cameras, management will not look at them. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody looking to place their loved ones in a loving home OR anybody looking for work! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. THESE RESIDENTS DESERVE THE BEST CARE AND THEY WILL NOT GET IT HERE!
July 2024
DO NOT WORK HERE OR BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. THE STAFF STEALS AND MANAGEMENT WILL BLOW IT OFF LIKE ITS NOTHING. BIG VALUE ITEMS. YOU WILL BE MANDATED TO WORK BECAUSE THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WILL NOT HELP YOU OUT. GOOD LUCK GETTING PAY STUBS BECAUSE THOSE ARE NON EXISTINT AS WELL. My point is please careful working here, your things will go missing, you will be bunted out from the mandating. The owner is another level of rude. Will get in your face and scream at you for his own problems. Doesn't pay his staff. Groceries for the residents will go missing. Literally protect all your items because they WILL GO MISSING. Be careful. I am not the only one with stuff that has gone missing. There are other separate buildings that they cannot manage. So, think of just trying to maintain ONE building. Just watch what goes on and happens. I think the only sane person there that is understanding is the Administer director, Becky.

Is terrible terrible place. Residents are leaving because of a director they are named [name removed]. She is the most evil God awful person and treats the residents like crap. [name removed] is the administrator and just lies to people and acts like everything is okay and pretends that this is the best facility ever. New/people it's not. State has been in there in and out numerous times and I mean numerous times because of the way that they are running things the food is terrible, how they take care of people is terrible, what they do to rectify problems and serious situations are all crap. Listen to me and do yourself a favor please take your family elsewhere.

Very nice nursing home. Staff actually cares about their residents. Carpeting in rooms. Food is home cooked. Staff is outstanding. My dad loves the staff. The hospice care is excellent!! Thank you for the excellent care you provide, and the wonderful staff.

I love Anchor Communities. Both my parents were members there and now my brother. The staff I feel truly cares about their member-family. They go out of their way To make everyone feel right at home. The rooms are a great size also, so they can keep many of their personal items and continue to provide that home feel for them. Everyone deserves a good meal to look forward too and this is also provided hot and on time There is a beauty-barber shop as well at the facility. Hair can be done, nails and barbering... There is also nice patio-outdoor space for those nice sunny days and even raised gardens if you want to participate in planting a vegetable garden. The staff does NOT ever miss a birthday or a holiday to celebrate with their members. Check it out!! It is always very difficult to place a loved one no doubt, but Anchor Communities is small enough to be close to home with the care your loved one needs. Julie Quade, Fox Lake, WI
