Marysville care center provides great care to its patients. We especially appreciate the care and effort by the nutrition and kitchen staff. Lots of attention and quality is put into the food provided to patients to assure all medical diets are met. Kitchen management has gone out of their way a couple of times to cater to religious needs with lots of love and respect. Thank you for meeting all of your residents needs.
October 2025
Very nice place and my friend was liked this care center better than the previous one that he was in for 10 days. The only thing that I did not care for was the rude lady at the front desk, her face was buried in the computer and it felt like she was annoyed that she had to answer my questions, I had never been at this care center before. When leaving I asked for a key to use the bathroom, but again she barked out that they were both full and no keys were available. Maybe she was having a bad day? Maybe you should replace her, with someone who likes that position. However the staff where my friend was, they were eager to help me with obtaining a chair and the maintenance guy was nice to talk with as he was removing rails on the extra bed in my friends room.
October 2025
I went in and took a tour. The staff was extremely kindly administrator was nice and I met the DON. They greeted me with a great smile, and the personality was delightful.. When my mother leaves the hospital, I hope to have my mother stay there
September 2025
SUMMARY: My FIL spent 2.5 months at MCC in late 2024/early 25.He was very unhappy there. It felt like staff was either afraid of him or neglecting him, and we had to fight for him to get care. Not enough staff, and not enough dementia experience. They have a policy not to sign any competency letters. After MCC, he was in a facility that had only 10 beds and every patient had dementia. He was super happy there and it was SO much better than MCC. Positives: Some truly kind, servant-hearted people work there. Especially Emily Martinez the social worker. The food was pretty good for a big institution. The building is fine. Negatives: Feels understaffed/neglectful and under-trained. Feels like leadership is worried about profits and liability more than their patients. Awful communication. MORE DETAILS: Fear/lack of training with dementia patients led to neglect It was like they were afraid of him & just tried to avoid working with him. We would ask if he saw the PT today & generally the answer was no. They would say he was asleep, or didn’t want to work with us today, or We’ll try to see him tomorrow, etc. We were there in-person and made sure he saw the PT, several times. The one who was supposed to work with him was staying out of arm’s reach like she was scared, & so it was a pretty ineffective, short session. Then we saw him a few days later with a sub PT & my FIL was doing SO much more! That PT was surprised that MCC had labeled him as max assist on everything. In that session, he took 15 steps with a walker, got out of bed, to the chair, and back, etc. Maybe his trajectory could have been different if he had worked with a PT like that. Instead, he never walked again. I think the regular staff had written him off because he sometimes could be aggressive & scary, so they were done with him. But it doesn’t have to be that way if they had the training needed for dementia patients. Terrible Communication Except for Emily Martinez the social worker, who was great. My FIL’s initial RN wouldn’t return our phone calls. We left messages but didn’t get callbacks. She quit or got fired during his time there. Most days they transferred us to the nurses station and no one picks up. We’d let it ring like 100 times, and then call back 10 minutes later and repeat. And some days you just couldn’t get through. So we called Emily and had her walk to the nurses station to make them talk to us. This matches what I saw when visiting - alarms going off, phones ringing, and not enough staff. Very slow to start meds He kept getting UTIs, and this would make his dementia/behaviors worse. But they wouldn’t catch the UTI for a while. We would ASK them if they’d checked for it, and once or twice they then checked and he DID have a UTI, but then it took us calling for *2 WEEKS* before he actually got on the meds. They said Oh yeah, I’m not sure if that order ever got placed No competency letters, by policy We couldn’t get access to the funds to pay for his bills (despite a proper POA), unless a doctor signed a letter confirming the patient was unable to manage their financial affairs. At first they had to ask the doctor, who only visits like once a week. After we asked about this for 4-6 weeks, they told us they have a policy not to EVER sign these sorts of letters. I guess because of liability fears? Why didn’t they tell us this up front? The patient was completely and obviously impaired. Terrible policy. Conclusion Life care centers of america (LCCA) had a giant settlement with the justice department for defrauding medicare. That fits the corporate profits above all else vibe I sensed at MCC. I think they didn’t know how to deal with dementia patients, because most of their residents were not in this category. If you don’t have dementia, maybe this is a good place. But for our loved one, it was awful and he hated it. Again, he passed away in another facility where ALL of the patients had significant dementia, and he *LOVED* it, and they loved him. So it could be different. Avoid this place if dementia is an issue.

This care center is very clean and run well. My friend staying there has been treated well. She even likes the food.
August 2025
I was having a problem gaining access to the facility after business hours, but still during visitation hours. My problem was that the exterior door was locked and the call button was only a busy signal instead of the ring tones that normally would play. Waited almost 1/2 an hour to get inside. And that was because kitchen staff at the dumpster finally had someone let us in. Ravi has presented me with a solution. Thank you, Ravi.
August 2025
Very clean. However, The front desk was not staffed so we had to wander around to get the information we needed. The staff we did bump into were very friendly.
August 2025
My mom has been here since Feb 2023 and loves it! I live out of state and had looked into moving her closer to me, but she has received such excellent care there, loves the people and activities, and has made so many friends that she doesn’t want to move. There is nothing more satisfying than talking to her in the phone and hearing her laughing and telling me what she did that day, and being exhausted from all the events and exercise that she gets daily. I work 40-60 hours a week and would love to spend more time with her, but know that she is happy and receiving great care! I try to fly to Seattle every 3 months for a visit, but talk to her weekly. It’s hard being so far away, but it gives me great peace that she is there amongst those that love and care for her.

I made a visit here this afternoon & was surprised considering it’s an assisted living facility, home homelike it seemed inside & out. It’s exterior landscaping is lush & fragrant. 1st glance building looks like a cottage community. Inside clean & friendly staff. Looks well run.

When I think about marysville care center, the first thing that comes to mind is the staff. The bank bone of this building. Their spirit and kindness are unmatched. Not only them but the fun here in activities and nurses/CNA, and management. All around this is the #1 choice in the area. I get the physical, mental and emotional support i need, every single day.
July 2025
Amazing fun here. Absolutely happy to be here as long as I can. Activities are great and therapy services is fantastic
July 2025
They don't allow 1/2 stars so I had to only select 4 ... staff is very friendly. The main reason I don't give a full 5 star review is that I sometimes feel communication is lacing between caregivers and family. Otherwise, all good things to say.
July 2025
Kind and courteous staff. There seem to be lots of community building opportunities for residents.

I’m currently a resident at this facility and give highest praises to the activities director and the physical and occupational therapy departments. They all go above and beyond to help in any way possible. The majority of the nursing staff is top notch as is their CNA’s. I’ve had few negative experiences and they were promptly addressed and corrected when my concerns were brought to their attention. I am happy to be residing here.

My daughter was moved here after almost 6 weeks in hospital following a car accident and 6 surgeries. She has been treated with compassion and excellent care by all involved. The food is excellent, carefully prepared and there are choices. PT and OT are provided every day and by people who know what they are doing. She asks many many questions as she started her working life as a RN, MSN and then a PhD and they have always responded in positive ways and no one takes offense at her questions. I visit every day and I see care throughout.

My mom spent over a month at the facility and we were impressed by the friendly and supportive staff. They were always welcoming and eager to help. We would like to extend our gratitude to Olha, Kyle, Marco, and Cindy, who provided exceptional support to my mom and catered to her every need. We also appreciate the assistance provided by the rest of the staff. We feel fortunate that she was able to stay at this particular facility.

It's a great facility and my aunt was always welcomed by the staff and the other guest there. Yes you have your grouches there but that's everywhere. I will though however guarantee you won't find better care anywhere else. The nurses here were always ontop of her meds and made sure she ate regularly like she was supposed to. They also went the extra mile to help exercise her and help her try to remain as independent as safely possible. They don't just treat and toss to the side they treat with love and smile.
