Brookdale Alderwood is the best! After a fall in December, my sister in law went from the hospital to acute care to Brookdale in rapid succession, in no small part because she was difficult. She continued to be difficult at times at Brookdale. Rochelle took her in stride. I had volunteered as an ombudsman for senior living facilities in the area several years before and I had seen many places. What makes Brookdale Alderwood the most special is the manager, Rochelle. With her compassion, I swear she is able to stretch time so she can chat with and hug the residents, commiserate with families worried about their loved ones and do mountains of paperwork! The trifecta of Rochelle, Kristin at the front desk, who greets, takes care of details, and sees that things run smoothly there, and Lisa, the head nurse set a tone of calm, compassion and commitment to the welfare and dignity of the residents. It seemed to me that their positivity trickled down to the staff whom I saw do innumerable kindnesses and be forever patient and respectful with their seniors. I saw it over and over, so many times with so many of the staff. It is telling that Nurse Lisa has moved her own mother to Brookdale Alderwood! I do not hesitate to recommend Brookdale Alderwood. I do recommend taking a tour yourself. These are such hard decisions! Talk to Rochelle!

I came into her this facility for my mother we met with Jessica. She was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of her questions and showed us around the community. She made us feel at ease and made us feel like this would be the perfect place to have our mother live our mother has dementia and is 89 years old she doesn’t have too many health problems other than that and I feel like this might be a really good community for her to live in the grounds. Looks nice. The rooms looks nice and I really enjoyed how she took the time to explain everything to Us and let us know that not only is this a great community but it’s one that she would place one of her family members, out of all the places that we visited none of the sales people said that. She truly made us feel like friends or family and not just trying to make a sale. We can’t wait to bring our mother to this community when she gets out here in October thanks again Jessica for a great tour. We can’t wait to reconnect with you soon. We are sure that our mother will love living in your community.

Brookdale Alderwood is a wonderful facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a clean environment for my Grandfather who needs memory care assistance. We are happy that he is involved in activities, entertainment and socializing with the other residents. We are happy with his care and the fact that we are welcome to visit with him regularly.

My Dad has been here for a week and we were concerned about him making the transition from home care to group care. The staff has been fabulous in making things as seamless as possible. Dad likes the activities, the food and talking to other clients. We, his family appreciate the cleanliness and smart set up of the rooms and neighborhoods but most of all the people who genuinely care about our Dad.

If you are searching for a care facility for a loved one with Alzheimer's, I highly recommend that you visit Brookdale Alderwood before making a decision. I visited Brookdale when my husband was having difficulty at another establishment. Brookdale employees gave me an in-depth tour and invited me to come and spend more time observing their practices. I am very impressed with their gentle and expert interactions with sufferers of this awful disease. I took notes and went back to my husband's facility to encourage them to make changes. When you place a loved one in care, it is important to choose wisely because any change is very hard on them. We are working to make our chosen facility work for us, and the people there are striving to improve, but I wish I had included Brookdale Alderwood in my original search

Chris Rubio was our intake representative and he was the best. He took personal care of our situation. He was kind, gentle, and truly concerned about our specific needs. He is a gem to your business. We look forward to many interactions with him throughout Elida Baltz's stay at Brookdale. We had toured many facilities but the staff and their concern of not only what they could do for Elita but how she would fit with there community was refreshing. The professionalism of the staff, cleanliness of the facility, quality of the food and programs involved made this a easy decision for us. My step-mother has advanced dementia and we relocated her to Brookdale Alderwood from another local memory care unit. That was the best decision we could have made for her care. The entire staff at Brookdale take a positive and rehabilitative approach, and treat residents with the care and dignity a human being deserves. My stepmother will never recover from her disease, but she has significantly improved in just the short time she’s been at Brookdale. We take great comfort knowing the team at Brookdale gives her the best quality of care and life possible!

I cannot say enough good things about Brookdale Alderwood. They jumped through hoops to have a room ready for my Mom on a moments notice. The entire staff is extremely attentive and friendly - and it is evident that they are experts when working with seniors with Dementia and Memory issues. Thank you for everything!

We had to find a place for Dad a little over a year ago and so happy we found Brookdale. The staff are all so good with him and the others there, he is happy and gets good care. Compared to other facilities we toured Brookdale was smaller, all on one level, all just memory care great outdoor space and just felt more homey. No appointments needed to go see him any time we want. I highly recommend!

I am so glad I found this place for my dad! He was in a downward spiral after my mom died, and then the isolation of covid. His first memory care unit kept calling me to complain about him being agitated and wanted to keep increasing medication. I moved him to an Adult Family Home. This staff called me daily to deal with his agitation and wanting to move out, and after a month told me he couldn't stay. The Brookdale staff has been amazing with him. He hit a few bumps in the initial adjustment, but they really know how to calm and redirect him. They make individual time for him, and he is as happy as is possible for a man who thinks this is temporary before he moves back home (as is the case with many people with dementia). Not only is the staff good with him, they are also good with me, like a built in support group. They call me with legitimate concerns and to discuss options, but as a means of problem solving rather than blaming and complaining. And they are starting an actual support group, which I'm looking forward to attending.

The staff (particularly Judy, the director and Ashley in the front office, make this place a warm and inviting place for my Mom. They have built a relationship of trust and fun with her and took the time to get to know her. I feel sad knowing that my mom is slipping away from me, but confident that she is in a safe and loving place.

My Mom has been a resident at Brookdale at Alderwood a little over three years. I am fortunate in being able to visit her frequently, Covid protocols being observed of course. During these visits I have come to appreciate the compassionate care that the residents receive. In the case of my Mom, they are able to redirect her when she is particularly confused and help relieve her anxiety. During our visits she tells me how much she appreciates how clean everything is and that the food is good. My wife and I are her legal guardians, and have been able to ask questions, request information to help us fulfill our legal obligations. This level of communication enables us during visits and Skype calls to be in the moment with Mom. If you have a loved one with dementia, do consider reaching out to Brookdale at Alderwood.

Brookdale Alderwood Assisted Living has been a wonderful resource for me in my practice. I recently had a patient who was in need, due to a rapid onset need for memory care (and her spouse was overwhelmed by doing things on his own). Marta at Brookdale was able to help them transition pretty quickly. She is doing very well there and I am VERY thankful she is in great hands. Simply put the staff is amazing! Their attention to detail and also individualized care for their residents surpassed all my expectations. When visiting family I was met with genuine kindness from everyone single person from the moment I walked through the doors. I could not more highly recommend Brookdale Alderwood.

My mom loves it! There are lots of things to do, they sing a lot, there are beautiful gardens to walk safely in, they have a therapy dog, they will love your family member, and so will other's families. It feels good to be there with her. Love and support, loving care.
