The staff here are very kind, and caring. Everytime I come to visit my gma, I see staff laughing, playing music with residents and dancing, and always engaging with the residents. It’s a very homey, welcoming feeling when you come into the building. I never have a problem with staff locating items I ask about, because I understand with memory care things can come up missing. Gma always talks about how great the food is, and I for one have seen the great dining experience they have. All in all, I’m very pleased with the care and love my gma receives at this facility.

Ever since moving in, mom is doing great! Look at that smile! At a time when her immune system is so fragile, it is reassuring to know that their team is committed to excellence. I never hear a complaint from her about her care. Trust me, she would let everyone know if she were displeased! It seems like some of these reviews are from when previous management was there or disgruntled employees. I would choose this place again and again! Collaborations between her care team in the clinic and her care team at the lodge are amazing. The administration was able to get everything lined up with insurance. CALL THEM!

Since becoming an in-home caregiver, I have done some research into local communities. I have had to have the conversation with a couple of my clients that their loved one may need memory care. After seeing the care provided here, I would highly recommend them. They even take straight Medicaid.

The care staff at Lacey Memory Care are some of the most capable, knowledgeable and compassionate caregivers I have ever had the privilege to work with. It truly warms my heart and makes me happy to watch staff and residents interact during daily activities, seeing the smiles on the faces of both. It’s also been exciting to see the upgrades made since the beginning of the year and knowing there are more to come. Staff is always willing to pitch in when needed and work together for the common goal of providing quality care to all residents.

This place has so much potential. The management has recently changed. The difference is amazing. The staff is slowly (but surely) improving. The facility is updating as much as they can, when they can. Overall Lacey memory care is on the up and up! Can’t wait to see the positive changes to come.

The place is not what it appears. Most of the care staff and Med Techs do an outstanding job. Though majority of the time they are short staffed. The rooms are rarely cleaned. Residents are at times not properly cared for. They have had several bouts of bed bugs. They fire the good caregivers and Med Techs. They as upper management don't have proper communication. They care very little about the health and safety of residents and care staff. They have several care staff that have not completed their training in a proper time or manner. When they are short staffed, it leaves room for too many injuries or med errors to happen. I have seen many rooms with feces in residents bathrooms and bedrooms and it has been left for several days at a time. Residents have been found left in soiled briefs. The furniture is falling apart and have been found to have bed bugs. Bed bugs crawling on residents while they are sleeping. Majority of the residents are neglected on a daily bases. They don't offer any off site activities. I have never seen one resident have hair service done. Med techs are awesome about communicating with families. There are better facilities out there if you truly love your family member.

It started out good when we placed my mom there almost 2 years ago in 2022. Within the past 6 months or so her care and the facility have gone downhill drastically. The few caregivers that were originally there with my mom that are still there are great! They do really care about my mom. However they are only the caregivers and have no say on how drastically they cut their staffing. Some days there are only 2 caregivers for appx 30 residents on a shift. The facility can’t seem to keep an RN on staff. I’ve been through at least 4 since my mom was placed there. Their PCP.. who has now left would never respond to our concerns about my moms health. Within the past 4 months, my mom has gotten dehydrated to the point of ER visit in December and she was getting close to another ER visit a week ago. Fortunately, my mom had other care through her insurance and that RN was visiting that day and caught it in time. There housekeeping is sub par. Carpets need regular steam cleaning in my mom’s room and throughout the facility but rarely get it. The vacuuming is minimal at best. I’ve added pictures of the debris on my mom’s floor that’s been there for two weeks now. My mom’s hands and face will be crusted with food after she eats and no one cleans her up. They don’t do her nails like they assured me that was part of her routine care. If I do not keep a check on it.. they become ragged and claws. See picture It is all due to they cut staffing and housekeeping and maintenance positions late last year. It has steadily gone downhill. It is ver disappointing because we used think we’d found a great place for her. I know they are undergoing a management change.. hoping things improve. If not we may need to move her even though we know that is not best for her. I would be very careful about placing my loved one here until they can get their act back together.

As an employee here, the place is less than desirable, [name removed] is one of the rudest med techs I’ve ever met. She seems to not give a crap about the residents or the aides. There is zero teamwork that goes on, the only teamwork I’ve seen is when the kitchen director helps out on the floor.

We placed my dad here in September 2021 when he was still able to communicate with us, but was experiencing incontinence. He was higher functioning than most of the individuals that were already in the home. He was placed in a roommate situation with a man that was a veteran, like my dad, which we were happy with. Upon seeing the room, and facility, overall it is less than desirable. The place is in desperate need of a remodel. The bed my dad was sleeping in was a twin size and just was so uncomfortable even your college dorm bed would have been better quality. While my dad was here, they immediately put him on several sedatives to “help with agitation.” They did not put him on any medications to actually help with his Alzheimer’s or dementia symptoms. We met with a UW neurologist and he was horrified by the medications the provider at this facility had put him on. We requested the provider get in line with the neurologist’s requests to get him on a different medication routine, and that never happened. We reached out to her several times and the changes were never made. Within 10 months of admitting my dad here, he passed away. I was extremely disappointed in the care he received here from the provider. I believe the nurses and nursing aides do the best they can with the patients, but are limited by resources this facility. This facility needs a real MD. Currently there is only an ARNP that comes in maybe 1-2 times a week to visit the patients. She did not give my dad the care he needed to thrive. He went downhill as soon as he was admitted here. We started to look into other facilities of higher quality for my dad after realizing his demise here, and it was too late. He also got COVID here (at least once that I know of), had several falls that ended him up in the ER, plus several times where we would take him out of the home and he was unrecognizable from the medications they had him on. Like I said, my dad has since pass away and this is a message to the facility that there needs to be a change. My family is very disappointed in the care he received here by the provider. She was barely present, did not make the best decisions for my dad, and did not take our wishes into account on the medication changes. This was not only my observation but also a comment I received from other staff. This facility went under new ownership near the end of my dad’s life and I can only hope they will make some serious changes for their patients. I work in healthcare and am still haunted by some of the medical decisions that were made for the care of my dad.
