Stop before dumping loved one here.I have lived here over one year. Arbor Assisted Living is critically over booked (too many Residents), constantly short staffed. You will be told the "Ratios" are per State Regs - not true. One caregiver per floor, which is now 20 Residents is constant occurrence. Nighttime is one Caregiver and one Nurse for entire Building. Weekends are always short staffed. We are currently running without Nursing Director, she left with no notice. Dozens of Residents go without showers for 3 weeks at a time. Residents are constantly complaining of "no response" when they push communication wrist device. First hand interview with several Residents of abuse; they are afraid of contacting State for fear of retaliation. Meals are a constantly repetitive menu plan. Food portions are small. plates loaded with cheap carbs & starches; protein portions are below FDA regs; proteins are overcooked; rare to serve fresh fruits & veg. Chef is charged with max $2.75 per meal/Res

My parents received dedicated and loving care at Arbor. The staff was welcoming, attentive and became like family to our family. The care was exceptional; responsive and I never worried about my parents and was grateful they were able to be part of the Arbor community. They lived the end of their lives happy, fulfilled, well cared for, challenged and with great dignity and respect. The staff was tireless in their commitment; and well trained. I would recommend Arbor to anyone who asked!

Our mom moved into The Inn, a retirement community at Arbor Village almost 8 years ago, transitioned to Assisted Living & now lives at The Lodge Memory Care, which is a great testimony of the wonderful loving care she has received at all 3 buildings. We were told the residents become family to the staff & found that to be true. They really do their best to give that personal touch to allow for community, growth & dignity to all who call Arbor Village home. They have been there for us, her family, each step of the way. Its very clean & modern with a warm welcoming atmosphere. I gladly recommend Arbor Village.

I have a family member living in the memory care community at Arbor Village. All the staff I’ve interacted with have been very supportive and caring. I live across the country and communicating with my loved one has been a challenge. Arbor Village provides opportunities for me to make zoom calls, send pictures and packages and they are always available to answer questions that arise. I feel confident that the residents are provided a safe, inviting environment and that they are treated with respect and cared for with compassion.

Both my mom and dad are residents at Arbor Village's the Lodge memory care facility in Kent. The administration, care givers and the entire staff have been terrific in caring for my parents. They have made a huge difference in what I knew would be a difficult decision and transition for my folks. They are compassionate, understanding, helpful and really care about the welfare of the residents. I'm so happy we found such a great atmosphere and facility, led by Jennifer, that provides quality and loving care to my parents in the late stages of their life.

Arbor Village is truly an active living community. Each building is kept fresh and clean but they all have a sense of home. They staff is warm and knowledgeable. Friendly and welcoming residents are all around. Everyone is very supportive and smiling. Love the outings and family events. Arbor Village is a place that helps you to get back to being family.

I have been to many communities and worked with many Companies in my years in healthcare. This is far the best place I have ever been blessed to be apart of. They actually care about our seniors even the ones that dont come to our communities, they want to still help them with anything they need to help them in their search. They strive on Always doing the right thing for our Seniors. I hope I am lucky enough to stay with this Community and grow with them. The executive Director is so professional and courteous in every step that she takes regarding the care, the Support and the safety and well being of our Residents. The staff in all is just amazing!!!

This place is beautiful. My good friend moved there two years ago and never looked back! We come to visit for meals and they are surprisingly good. In fact, we try to go for lunch anytime we visit. The staff is warm and welcoming and the new Executive Director really seems to know what she is doing. When were ready, we will move here too!

I have been at Arbor Village for over 10years now. I am proud of our team, from our really awesome ED, to our top notch nurses, to our dining services director, as well as our intrepid Plan Ops director, our own superhero BOM, to our amazing marketers. And not to forget our amazing Life Enrichment team, we have some really awesome staff working at this community. We really strive to create a homelike setting for our residents and a place our staff want to come work at. We continue to strive to make a difference between living and living well

Really nice!!I love this community! It is bright and cheerful.I love the continuing care idea.... You can start out in the Independent living building, The Inn. If your loved one needs more care, they can simply move next door to the Assisted Living Building, or Memory Care.The Independent living residents are as busy as they want to be. The monthly calendar is filled with shopping trips, scenic drives, live musicians, lunches out, exercise, and games like Wii bowling, Dominos, Bingo, Bean Bag Baseball, Crossword puzzles, Trivia, music hours, and more!The Assisted Living building has the most caring staff! The nurses are knowledgeable and quick to help if I need anything. There is a lot to keep the residents busy here, too.The Memory Care building has a staff that genuinely cares for its residents. Each neighborhood in the Memory Care is different. They have really used some creative juices when it comes to giving the residents things to do. One neighborhood has an armoire that is filled with frilly clothes that the ladies can dress up in..... cute purses, boas, etc. I love it!In the first photo below, the residents went to the botanical garden in Kent.The second photo is a shot of the residents playing a game in the Theatre Room .... Nice turn out!The third photo shows a lively game of billiards.

Sometimes I play piano here and its a wonderful experience to play the songs that residents requests and see them joyful.

My mom, now ninety-six years old, has been a resident, first at The Inn, then in Assisted Living, at Arbor Village for over four years now. The staff there is exceptional. The care associates treat Mom as if she were their own family, accepting her, caring for her, and, most importantly, respecting her. There is open communication between the nurses, the staff, and the families of the residents. A variety of activities offered daily provides opportunities for exercise, creativity, and socialization. This continues to be a very positive experience for our family and especially for Mom.
