My mom has been at Sunrise for several years. The care she receives is consistent, thoughtful, and carefully planned by the staff. When she needed more support, they invited me to a Care Conference and presented the different options available and their thoughts and rational for recommending them. I was able to tour the spaces. I spoke with my mom about the options and Karshaya (care coordinator) offered to show the spaces to my mom immediately. Karshaya even allowed us to stay in the new space to make sure it was what we wanted. Both rooms on the third floor offered access to the shared terrace, which is decorated in beautiful hanging baskets, offers multiple seating options and is surrounded by trees. It’s hard to go through this time, it is amazing to have the support and care of the team at Sunrise.

My mom lived at Sunrise for the past year until she passed away. She was diagnosed with end stage breast cancer and needed a facility that could support her as her cancer progressed, her needs changed, and at the end of her life. She chose Sunrise because my grandma lived there 20 years ago and had a great experience. Mom had a beautiful experience at Sunrise. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. Mom was able to invite friends to her room or to the common areas. She was very social and had numerous visitors every day. The staff was very welcoming to her friends and everyone enjoyed visiting my mom there. I was particularly impressed by the staff. I truly felt they cared for and loved my mom. Mom loved them and told everyone she felt like a queen. All her needs were met above and beyond what she could have expected. I appreciated that she was well taken care of because it gave me a break to tend to other responsibilities in my life. At the end of her life, we added hospice and a one on one night nurse for extra care and support to keep mom comfortable. Sunrise worked very well with hospice and one on one nurse. We felt so happy and fortunate that mom’s last year was so special and caring. Having her at Sunrise was a perfect fit and was adaptable to her changing needs. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful Mother's Day Brunch hosted at Sunrise by Karshays Murray The event was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was elegant, beautiful, and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I was treated to having my nails done and was even offered the opportunity to have my hair done as well. It truly made me feel special and appreciated. I had a wonderful time meeting so many kind people and experiencing the warm hospitality of the staff. The establishment was beautiful, and everyone was professional, friendly, and accommodating. One of the most difficult decisions in life is facing the reality that the person you have loved and cared for 51 years needs more help than you can provide at home. Making the decision to move my husband into Memory Care at Sunrise Senior Living of Edmonds in late 2024 was not easy, but it has proven to be the right choice for both of us and our family. The Reminiscence Neighborhood provides exceptional care tailored to each resident's individual needs. The caregivers and staff are compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to the well-being of the residents. Knowing my husband is safe, cared for, and treated with dignity gives me tremendous peace of mind. One of the things I appreciate most is the incredible team that makes Sunrise such a special place. From the outstanding leadership of the Executive Director and management team to the dedicated Care Coordinators, Samantha and Karshaya, everyone works together to create a caring and supportive environment. The activities staff”Idris, April, and Zufan”bring so much energy, creativity, and joy to the residents through a wide variety of engaging programs and events. The activities program is outstanding and offers something for everyone. Residents enjoy Bingo, movies, flower arranging, music, crafts, games, exercise classes, and special events such as jazz nights and sock hops. I am also deeply grateful to care managers Abunu, Moses, and Bright, ( and more) who have cared for my husband since he moved in and have come to know him as an individual. Their kindness, patience, and consistency have meant so much to our family. The nursing staff”Brenda, Karen, Gelma, and Sigrid”have also provided wonderful care and have a genuine concern for the residents' well-being. The meals are wonderful”so much so that they're great for helping residents maintain or even gain weight when needed! The community creates a warm, engaging, and supportive environment that feels like an extended family. I highly recommend Sunrise Senior Living of Edmonds to families searching for memory care, especially for loved ones living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, aphasia, or other cognitive .Our family will always be grateful for the love and support shown to my husband and to all of us throughout this journey.

My parents moved in about two months ago and we have been very pleased with the facility and caring staff. The building itself is very nice and has a "home" look and feel - even has a sitting room with furnishings. Also has outdoor patio areas that are great in nice weather. My mom is in memory care and my father is in assisted living. Staff in all areas have been great - working very hard to provide compassionate care and provide great communication with the family. Lots of caring moments: calming breath exercises with my mom, helping my dad with hygiene, interfacing with doctors about medication, helping my parents visit, or just sitting with my parents to have a conversation. My parents themselves say that everyone is nice and working very hard. The food is good too having eaten there many times myself - fresh salads, nice variety of soups and specials, and great desserts! We looked at eight different facilities before making a choice and are very pleased with Sunrise.

Sunrise Senior Living was the assisted living facility my family chose for our mother due to her increasing need for assistance when her mobility and health deteriorated to a point where dual caregivers were required for any transport. Sunrise Senior Living accepted a very challenging assignment and compassionately cared for our mother up to and including her date of death. As a former Paramedic, I've seen many nursing homes and I've Always been impressed by Sunrise (even 10 years ago in TX (never smelled or looked unclean)). Now as an ICU Charge Nurse, the care and attention Sunrise Edmonds provides, the compassion of the staff at the door (Terry & Jody) and the care attendants from the 1st floor where my Grandmother started to now 3rd, more intensive memory care - the staff are kind and patient, warm and nurturing. The most important opinion of Sunrise belong's to my Mom who is now 89 and has an apartment there. I have had two family members live at this facility for approximately three years. One has now passed away at almost 102 years of age, so just one living there now. During that time, they have been treated respectfully, been treated well and well taken care of. I have been notified if any little thing might have happened to them. I visit there often, so also see the interaction with the caregivers and the residents a great deal. For my family members, this is and has been truly the correct care facility for them. I have also had a meal or two with them and the food is very good. Not the typical senior facility food.

My parents have lived in the Assisted Living community at Sunrise of Edmonds just over a year. The transition was not always easy but the staff has worked closely with our family to find solutions and the communication between the family and the staff is transparent and frequent. Throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, the families have received emails detailing the health of the staff and residents. We get regular pictures of our family members participating in various activities. The facility organized a vaccine clinic for both the flu and COVID-19 easing the stress on our family to schedule and get our parents to the appointments. Everyone from the maintenance, kitchen, dining, concierge, nursing and care-giving staff are friendly and helpful.

My search for a new home for my mother during the Covis19 Pandemic was so challenging. Shalene at Sunrise of Edmonds was the definition of EXCELLENCE in Customer Care and Service. She "worked outside the box" to put together a safe property tour, solved logistic issues and moving challenges. Shalene solved my concerns by introducing me to those who took ownership of those issues and made me feel so comfortable is realizing that everyone was truly interest in finding solutions with the residents as a priority. We have only been at Sunrise for a short time and Shalene is still AMAZING!! She made it possible for a concerned family member to see & speak to mother in an alternative setting, putting everyone at ease! Either Shalene is contagious or it is just the high standard of this property! The rest of the staff is as helpful, kind, positive and communicative as they were before we became part of the family!! People are always quick to complain but not to acknowledge those that make their experience special. I have to do shout-outs to some GEMS and for how they embrace their jobs: Front line staff- Jody, Terry & Deca and Bryan. Medical Staff: Karen, Eleana, NuNu, and Almaz, Jill the Chef, and Mehgan for creating actives to keep the residents busy. THANK YOU!!!

Sunrise cared for my wife for three years before she passed. The family was more than satisfied with the care she received for her Alzheimer's disease. The staff was experiences, caring, and attentive to her needs. Management, nursing, and outstanding food services were totally involved. Sunrise encourages family and friends visitations. We have experienced two other care facilities and Sunrise is the best! I have referred other families to place their loved ones with Sunrise!

I went to Sunrise of Edmonds assisted living to recover from a broken hip. I found everyone there extremely competent, caring, and friendly. Within hours caretakers were calling me by name and encouraging me to walk with my walker. The food in the dining room was delicious. They had appropriate covid protocols in place which limited the social activities. After a month I was strong enough to return home. I recommend Sunrise of Edmonds for their caring and professionalism.
