Reviews Creekside Continuing Care Community

Dear Creekside Community, Our relationship with Creekside started with Dawn and Melissa who are perfect for their positions! We would like to thank you all for your professionalism, accessibility and above all the caring concern, not only for my brother but for our family as well. The way you have treated him (with respect and not judgement) has made him feel comfortable and safe and has reassured us that he is indeed in the right place. Other things we appreciate; independent living daily resident checks, the willingness of staff to listen and accommodate when possible, encouraging residents to involve themselves in the variety of activities offered, the consistent cleanliness, food accessibility, outdoor space, walking distance to town, and transportation when needed. The only thing missing is perhaps a larger gym for an alternative to rainy day walks. This is also a great opportunity to give a big THANK YOU to the front desk people we have had the pleasure of interacting with: Sharon, Tammy, and Julie. You are truly AMAZING!!

My parents in their 90's recently moved to Creekside. From the first tour of the facility and through the registration process the staff has been helpful, informative and friendly. Mom and Dad have lived independently in their own home until very recently, and moving to an apartment community is a big change late in life. The staff has been very welcoming and supportive through this transition. Services, activities and food options are all good, and there is also a full compact kitchen in the apartment. The apartment and common areas are clean and well kept, and there is weekly housekeeping service for the apartment. Cost is competitive with other comparable facilities in the area.

Just curious if I was going to apply for a job here. What hours are the shifts? 11-7, 7-11, 2-10pm...what times will I be working? If anyone can answer this it would be a huge help to me. :))

Finding a Memory Care residence during a worldwide pandemic has proven an immense task. My choice to entrust the care of my step-father to Creekside Memory Care has been the best decision I could have made! Each and every employee is professional, friendly and seems to have the best interests of the residents at the heart of their actions. I whole-heartedly recommend Creekside Memory Care.

My mother-in-law lives here. It seems to be fine and they do have many activities and seem to be obsessed with bingo. It's clean and the employees are friendly. The food is a bit lacking in flavor and is very basic, but last time I was there they had a new cook so maybe the food will improve. She seems to enjoy living there. I find it to be more expensive than similar places farther south, but maybe that's because there are so few options up this way.

My grandmother is here. The staff, although having a higher turnover rate, is always helpful and treats the old folks with respect. Their memory care is good, but still could use a little work. Food is pretty good and the schedule varies nicely. Some more outdoor activities would be nice, but the indoor activities schedule is good. I would encourage you or your parents to participate. Transportation is available to those that need it.

Comfortable, modern, well decorated environment. Best food by far in any long-term care residence. The dining staff are superb; they remember every residents name and dining needs. The front desk staff, when they are not on break and administration staff take over, are knowledgable, kind, and handle crises with common sense. Housekeeping staff take a personal interest in residents and have been exceptional. Unfortunately, the weak link is the care staff. There is no on-site RN. The wellness director is an LPN and hard to find. There are numerous excellent individuals, but the facility is severely understaffed. Getting a response to the emergency call bell takes a very long time, especially on weekends. I saw residents doing exercises to a tape recorded voice! Yuk.

Our cousin, Edna, has been there for many years. She loves it and feels loved there. This is my brother, Curtis, and when we went to visit her. Everyone seems to be kind and treat her kind. That is what is most important to us; that she is well taken care of and loved. Thank you.

Creekside has a family atmosphere! This facility truly care about their residents through compassion and concern. We are fortunate to have a facility like this in Skagit Valley! I know, because my parents moved in approximately 5 years ago. Since then my mom has gone through a lot. My mother has lost my dad and has been sick at times, but with the help from the Creekside MedTechs and Caregivers she is doing great!
