Very troubling experience during my grandmothers last days. They actively and consistently discouraged us from showing any emotion. Limited activities. The leadership/admin staff did not provide the environment that they portrayed. I’m the final days they limited access visits to comfort our grandmother to only when admin staff are available but are consistently under staffed. When we requested more time that are grandmother asked us to stay they were cold. They also had a rule that if you step outside to make a call during your visit (no cell phone coverage inside) that ends the visit. They have one phone shared with all the other residents to call your loved one and sometimes don’t answer, goes to voicemail, or don’t have enough staff to adequately get you connected to see how they are doing. It is not a place of peace and joy, but a place of waiting for your love one to die in a room alone. There are better options and we made the mistake of choosing this place. It is so sad.

In 2020, I was fortunate to get a job here. I was grateful to be employed during such a hard time in history. As I began my my job at the arbor, I was faced with stress. The residents as a collective weren't happy being restricted, they could leave due to the virus out break,et alone see their loved ones. If their loved one did have the ability to see them, they would have to do it through a window. There was violence between certain residents, the most violent resident being transferred, a resident describing an attempted sexual assault, gossiping between coworkers etc. I once witness the evening work crew leave all of the residents untended just to go out side together, and smoke. The place was under staffed, leaving residents uncared for. Not to mention when I first arrived the place was not sanitary due to the lazy custodian. I had an issue that I brought to the then ED, and HR. They both attempted to take my legitamate issue, and make it seem like I was the problem. They didn't want to help me. Instead they gas lit me. They didn't want any heat on them. They wanted to protect themselves. Just like when there was an incident when a resident accidentally drank bleach because a door was left open at night by an employee. I was blamed for leaving that door open, and fired despite me not working at night. I worked from 11am-7pm. This place hurt me. The former ED Donna Baker hurt me. My mental health suffered. This place is horrible, and can't be saved. Also, they even brought a resident from another facility with a covid out break to the Arbor. Please, do not send your loved ones here.

In January, my wife and had to make a tough decision regarding what facility to have my dad be admitted to since he has dementia and my mom could not continue assisting in their home due to both being 88 years old. This was a very difficult decision not only because we wanted the very best for my dad, we were not able to inspect any of the facilities since we live in Sydney Australia and our international borders have been closed since last March. My only sibling, my brother, had passed away the previous July so I had no other family to help.Fortunately, I spoke to Vicki Nelson, the marketing director who after a couple discussions assured me that the Arbor was the place for my dad since they specialize in patients with dementia. To date, we have never regretted our decision. Vicki has become a family member in such a short period of time checking up on my dad and visiting my mom and taking her on outings and meals. Vicki is a truly exceptional person who I am sure treats all residents with kindness and respect. I have spoken to many of the other staff members there and know that they share the same commitment to their residents as Vicki does which is truly exceptionalf anyone is considering a place for their loved ones, I cannot speak more highly of Arbor and their committed and devoted staffCarl and Sus

Though my wife was not there for a lengthy stay my daughter and I found this facility to be amazing. It is not only very well maintained but we found the staff to be absolutely wonderful, each and every one of them. The care feels like family is giving it. I have seen other facilities where the care is adequate but the Arbor far exceeds that. Special thanks to Donna for all of her care and patience helping us.

I feel so lucky that my mother lives at The Arbor. It is new and looks fabulous. Having eaten there several times, I can say the food is good with a well thought out menu. The building smells good and my mother enjoys the protected courtyard. But the really best bit is their staff. They have all been wonderful - professional, very caring and always willing to help and do that little bit extra. In addition, the enrichment activities are providing better socialising and mental stimulation then our last care experience.

This is Kitsap countys new memory care facility which opened in December. It is gorgeous and staffed superbly. It is private pay but the least expensive in the county. Gorgeous apartments, lovely garden area and lots of activities in light and airy comfortable settings. Huge tv screens. Good food. Etc etc

I have worked in Health Care for over 20 years and never thought I would get to see a company that is 100% about the quality, love and care provided. The residents here are so loved, the entire facility is beautiful and always very clean. I guess when you have such a great management team who really cares about the employees your bound to end up with a place like, The Arbor at Bremerton. I feel so blessed to be a part of it all...

Nothing but praise for the entire staff. They have been attentive, helpful, and loving at every turn during this challenging time for our family. And the facilities are brand-spanking new and wonderful. Too cold now, but the interior courtyard should be a good place for Dad to get out in the fresh air when it gets a bit warmer. Dad is now referring to his room as my apartment, a wonderful sign that he feels very much at home.

My mom moved into The Arbor when it opened in December 2017. She had a bad experience another local facility (AG), which has gone seriously downhill since my dad lived there for 22 months until June 2011. There is NO comparison to the quality of care she receives NOW, as well as living in a much better facility equipped with the latest technology for Memory Care residents. The budding staff level (as residents are continually moving in), seems to be adequate and increasing in appropriate numbers for sufficient coverage and care of residents. My mom is Very happy now and barely wants to leave for any weekends or time home. She has grown very comfortable with her care-givers and prefers Not to have to follow the rules home I guess...lol. That is perfectly fine as long as she is happy because thats what its all about. The full-time nurse on duty during the week, Alida, is an Absolute PLEASURE to deal with, including very good follow-up and keeping me informed on everything - as requested. She is building an excellent team of Med techs that uphold her high standards on nights and weekends. The Director is a super smart young man named Brock, who has obviously impressed his employers as they have (thankfully), entrusted him with this HUGE project of opening a brand new dementia-care facility in an area where QUALITY services are Sadly lacking. Brock is visible and working amongst his staff. This gives family members peace of mind. Lastly, but not by any means ‘leastly, the rates for these residential services are Way more in line with what people can actually manage without having to take out a 2nd mortgage. It can be a predatory industry of compassionate care, but I have not found this to be true The Arbor. If youve ever put a dearly loved one in Memory Care, you will know exactly what I mean. Muchos kudos to Brock and his team as they are a VERY welcomed addition to the Kitsap Peninsula...YAY !!

If you are looking for a memory care facility for a loved one, look no further. This lovely place has been open less than a year and has vacancies. This thoughtful, caring staff takes excellent care of their clients as well as their family members. I am so happy my husband could spend the last two weeks of his life in such a wonderful place. Thank you
