We knew exactly what was expected of us and she was a great help in our efforts to deliver. The activities team Marla, Mia, and Oasis are wonderful. Their patience, generosity, and joy in their work shows daily. The residents are treated so kindly and engaged in games and activities that not only stimulate their minds like playing brain games but also their bodies with chair exercises. The activities are suited for all like painting or matching mismatched socks. Truly cannot say enough. It’s a pleasure to watch and participate with them!

I visit The Bellingham at Orchard weekly and am always impressed by the facility, the staff and the care the residents receive. The exterior and interior are designed like nice hotel....bright, clean and cheery. But the people working there are what really make the place shine. Everyone from the receptionist to the caregivers to the aides are sunny, upbeat and kind. Marla Thal sets the tone with her enthusiastic support of her fellow employees and energetic engagement with the residents.

Dementia is a difficult diagnosis to accept, for both the person diagnosed and their family members. I've been through it myself with my late mom and know first hand how difficult it is to find the right care environment. For the last several months I have been doing rounds at The Bellingham at Orchard playing harp for the residents. I've gotten to know many of the residents as well as the staff and look forward to my weekly visits there. It's just a lovely environment all around and the residents seem well cared for. Marla Thal, the Activities Director, is especially wonderful and worth mentioning. Marla knows all the residents well and engages them with her cheerful, warm and attentive presence. She organizes regular outings along with a long list of appropriate activities while creating a community for the residents to enjoy. I highly recommend The Bellingham at the Orchard and know that my own mom would have loved it there.

This community is supported by an incredible team of passionate, loving, and caring leaders who know what is best for people living with memory loss and their families. I had the opportunity to visit the community space with Sade and she left an amazing impression on me. She's trustworthy and will do anything in her power to make you feel at home and well taken care of. The community is super welcoming from the reception desk and all around. The rooms are cozy and neat, as well as the common areas. I was so impressed!

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Sade, the Community Relations Director at Bellingham at Orchard, after the Miles 4 Memories event and she is truly something special. Sade took the time to show us around the community, and you can immediately feel how much care and intention has gone into every detail. The environment is thoughtfully designed, with strong contrast in wall colors to support visibility, and personalized elements on residents’ doors that help them recognize their own space. These small touches make a meaningful difference. The courtyard is beautiful and fully walkable, creating a safe and calming outdoor space. We were also impressed by the activity calendar and the activity team size. It is full of variety, offering residents multiple ways to engage based on their interests and abilities. Most importantly, what stood out was the heart behind it all. Sade’s passion for the residents and their families is another level. We would highly recommend Bellingham at Orchard to anyone looking for exceptional memory care for their loved ones.

Hello Folks, well if your looking for a place for your loved one. Orchard is the perfect place to live. The employee's are so friendly and caring too. As soon as you enter this establishment you feel the warmth!! Sadly my Mom passed away several days after living there but the love everyone gave her was so so special!! So I "highly recommend this assist living place!! It's a 5 star place to live!!!

After visiting a number of possible homes for my mother, we selected The Bellingham At Orchard and could not be happier. The staff are readily available to help in any way possible with a smile and good attitude. The facility is clean, safe, and often buzzing with some fun activity. Mom is very well cared for and enjoys the frequent outings, good-quality food, and care she receives. I've always found management willing to listen and work diligently to solve any concerns that might arise. Our family is thrilled with the Bellingham At Orchard and all they've done to provide our family the sense of security and comfort we demand for Mom.

My dad spent the last year of his life at the Bellingham at Orchard and I could not be more grateful to the staff and team. He arrived there after a very complicated cross-country move from one memory care facility to the Bellingham at Orchard to be closer to family. It was not an easy task for him to move and the staff was beyond accommodating to get all of the pieces in place. Once living there, my dad was comfortable. The staff is kind. I did not observe them to be annoyed by my dad’s many requests, repeated concerns and so on, but clearly trained and understanding that his behaviour was part of Alzheimer’s disease. I felt they treated him with respect. He often wanted a snack and there were no set rules and times for food as at other facilities, but decent snacks and sandwiches available any time of day and he did not have to ask over and over. The facility is consistently clean. The gardens/grounds are lovely. For me, it was easy to communicate with the Office, Nurse Manager or director Adam with questions or concerns. I would highly recommend trusting the Bellingham at Orchard to provide memory care for your loved one.

I was warmly welcomed by this team. I had a great tour with Ben who does a really great job learning about the needs of families. He does an excellent job making sure families feel supported and well educated about their decisions. The caregivers and other staff were really friendly on my visit too. Smiles make a difference! Residents were enjoying a great activity at the time. I heard a lot of laughter and the care staff were very engaging with them as well. Big plus! I LOVE their sensory corners in the hallway. The "She Shed," and "Man Cave," are such a fun addition that brings joy and color when you walk through them. What a great place for seniors to enjoy. Love The Bellingham at Orchard!

The decorations are really cute! How about instead of buying more and more every other month, you reallocate those funds towards the basic needs for the residents of this place? That money could be put to better use. All they do is collect dust. May I suggest that a meager half of the budget spent on Hobby Lobby goes towards supplies (Clean sheets and briefs that ACTUALLY fit the residents and aren’t too big/small). Or you could give the kitchen staff more of a financial incentive in order to encourage them to make more enjoyable food for the residents. These folks deserve better than Cheez-Its and packaged cookies between every meal.

My husband had an experience that was supportive and caring. The staff was personable...my husband felt like part of their team. I appreciate the quality of caring, both with hands on, and with emotional support. This is not the fanciest of facilities...but it is rich with caring and quality.

I am a member of the Senior Steppers, a tap dancing group out of the Bellingham Senior Activity Center. We recently performed at The Bellingham at Orchard. We had a great experience! Heather, the activities director was very nice to work with. We were given a great room to make our costume changes in. Most importantly, the staff worked very hard to bring in as many residents as possible so we had a large, attentive, appreciative, and friendly audience. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with the people and facility at The Bellingham at Orchard. The executive director, Mary and the rest of the staff calmly and kindly assisted us to move my mom in on short notice. Our family was really struggling to provide appropriate care for my mom when she moved in. She was immediately made to feel welcome, we were reassured, and they were consistently available to answer our questions. My mom says "everyone here is kind to me and I have made good friends." After only one week living there, she told me she was settled there and appeared calm and comfortable. This is a far cry from the distress, anxiety and anger we had been experiencing at home. I recommend this business for their committed and caring staff. It is the people who made this a home for my mom.

Bellingham at Orchard is a quality facility with loving caregivers, but is in a period of significant transition. My dad lived there for four years during which time we saw the level and quality of care offered slowly decline. The corporation did not offer the support needed to sustain the high level of care we saw when the same facility was operated by Silverado LLC. Through an unfortunate turn of events Frontier took over the facility in the fall of 2012. Although my dad was well-loved by the staff, the declining level of care he received became more and more apparent as his decline in cognitive abilities demanded more support. The new administrator (4/16) is making changes which will hopefully reverse the decline we have seen. We were in process of transitioning dad to the new Silverado facility based on the stellar care and service we experienced before Frontier took over, but he passed away before it opened. In comparing costs and services against Frontier you'd be foolish not to check out Silverado before making your final choice.
