My father had been at an upscale assisted living facility for four years, but as his abilities waned we found that they could not reliably provide the nursing and ADL support that they claimed to offer. After he had a couple of falls we were told that we had to obtain third party 24x7 care for him to stay. The third party care came with its own reliability and quality issues. After many months, and a lot of $, we gave up and looked around for a facility that could really provide assistance with basic ADLs. After some research we came across Patriots Glen (PG). We wish we had found it sooner. The entire team at Patriots Glen from the executive director Jordan Drew on down is all about providing care and caring for the residents. At his old place dad had given up using his walker to leave his apartment and was having his meals delivered. However, at PG they really want all the residents to eat in the dining room. PG offered to escort dad to the dining room for each meal, and motivated him to the point that after a couple of weeks he was going down without an escort 3x/day. The kind staff would check in on dad several times per day and would always come by around dinner time to make sure he had not forgotten about dinner. They would often walk with him, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. We learned that many of the PG staff had worked there for a long time, several more than 20 years, and I think the average staff tenure was 7+ years. This was a drastic change from his prior facility where they struggled to hire staff, let alone retain "care" staff. The PG staff know each other, they like each other, and they work well together. We also noticed that Jordan empowered his leadership staff to make decisions without always checking with him. They had the freedom to do the right thing. This made it possible for the staff to quickly help with special requests or issues when they came up. At dad's prior facility we would have to ask, and too often I would then have to follow up many times to get things done. At PG we found that the staff implemented improvements without us even asking! Dad turned 97 while at Patriots Glen. Shortly after, his health took a turn which led to hospital stays and eventually back to PG for hospice care in his apartment. The care team took wonderful care of him until the very end. My dad missed the fancy dining room and menu at his old place, but we were all happy to trade that for the PG staff who provided timely care, and who cared about him. Jordan has fostered a respectful and caring culture and team at Patriots Glen. That team was a like a second family for dad. Thank you to everyone at Patriots Glen for the care, and kindness that you showed dad!

Patriots Glen is an elegant and empathetic breath of fresh air. A retirement home for an aging community of folks. While there consulting on a landscaping project all the residents and staff seemed calm, content, and stimulated. A dedicated staff who are really performing miracles by offering there very best to these great people in there care. They handle every resident from the sweetest to the meanest from the somewhat healthy to those who are near departure everyone was treated with grace and love and consideration. In my opinion top rate great choice for yourself or a loved one. The staff is welcoming and very experienced in my short time on the premiss I witnessed both residents and staff in jovial and fun repose it was a relaxed well appointed facility worthy of consideration for residency for those who are in need of some special attention and friendly yet professional monitoring.

My wife Irene and myself would like to find out more about the facilities and the apartments there. She needs services for bath room and diaper changing as at the moment seeming to loss her ability to stand up, but that may change with some special exercise and training by people at Providence Home Care folks that are just being asked to come in and perform various things at our present home. We are planning on selling it and would both be looking at living at your complex. Any internet views of the apartments and or other graphics for reviewing would be helpful. We are serious about moving as soon as the home sells. An appointment this coming week on Wednesday sometime is also possible although I would have to hire someone to come in and watch over my wife. She things that she can walk but that only results in falling an failing to understand that she cannot do that any more, I'm sure you know the issues with dementia, it would appear to be in its first phase or so, but seems to be advancing slowly. She still eats but I have to watch her size of bites as she does not seem to understand that she can only take so much at a time. Providence Home Health Services is coming in to assess what they are going to recommend regarding exercises for walking and other items. If your complex supports these types of activities that would avoid needing them to come in. It is essential that bathroom, showering other rest room services be dealt with since our home baths are too small to lift or do anything of that type at home. Your credentials come from Cristy in a phone call from her this AM. She recommends you folks very positively. We need to make some immediate decisions and at least consider securing something right away. An interview tour if you have one would be great, also some of the utility services areas would be helpful as well. Thanking you in advance for your assistance. We moved both of our parents into Patriot's Glen and we were so glad that we did. They received excellent care and emotional support. The professionals and care takers are highly trained but more importantly they are kind and caring and they go above and beyond to make sure their residents are healthy and happy. They also made our entire family feel welcomed and at home in their facility. We are so grateful to Patriots Glen for everything they have done for our family. We highly recommend Patriots Glen.

My Mom was there for the last 9 months of her life. I only wish I had placed her there sooner. This is more like a nursing home than assisted living, which she was in previously, and which really couldnt provide the level of care she needed. Mom was in both the memory care at Patriots Glen and Assisted living. Both have a great caregiver to resident ratio and both provided great care to her. The staff is very caring and Ive actually overheard them telling her they love her. We couldnt ask for more.

My mom lived there for about 4 months before her passing. She was well cared for and thought highly of the staff there. Of course like any place, some of the hands-on staff were more warm than others. The facility is nice as well. We were pleasantly surprised with this place and would recommend it.

Our mom stayed at PG for 4 years. The staff were very kind and accommodating to us as our needs changed with mothers condition. The impression I got was that they always did their best so that the residents were comfortable. The staff really cared. What more can you ask for?

John and the entire staff at Patriots Glen took great care of our Great Aunt Rubye to the last second of her life. I know our Great Aunt had some difficulties when she first admitted herself to the facility, but ended up loving it.PG was willing to work with Rubye on bringing her, what used to be 165lb (120lb when he went to PG), English Mastiff. Rubye wasnt the easiest person to work with and get dog, Cody, was by no means a small dog. Cody too was in his old age and spent his last days at PG as well.For us out of towners from California, who visited only a handful of times, we sure knew most of the staff at PG during Rubyes short time there.If you folks are looking for a facility that will make sure your loved ones last days are filled with dignity PG is the way to go. We really appreciate the way the staff took care of Rubye and Cody. We couldnnt ask for better care.

My husband resided in the memory wing of Patriots Glen for 6 month. My insurance ran out, so I brought him home because if have in-home insurance too. I was very impressed with this facility. The leadership staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had my husbands welfare at heart and were ready to discuss any concerns.. The care-giver staff radiated hapiness and were quick to help in any way they could. There are many daily activities that I enjoyed when I visited my husband. And best of all, the meals were fabulous. This is a small, caring facility and well worth considering.
