I came from another long term memory care, and talked to Judy in sales. I was very impressed with the facility especially how attentive and caring all the staff and caregivers were with the residents. They truly loved their job and enjoyed interacting and caring for the residents. The nurses, maintenance and front desk staff are all wonderful and love to interact with families and residents. The food is top notch, with many choices and a great variety of foods. Lots of activities and trips as well as being able to go outside in a fenced area off memory care. I was worried about transfer trauma and my husband did great making the adjustment. Judy made sure the move-in went smoothly as well as Pecola, the director of memory care. My husband loves the staff and the food is the best, five star for sure. The caregivers really love interacting with the residents, learning about their life's before they came to Bookdale and caring for them as if they were their own family. They sing to them in the morning when getting them out of bed and keep them engaged all day. I am so happy I moved my husband to Brookdale. Worry and stress free with him in such a wonderful, caring, beautiful assisted living facility. If you're looking for a place for your loved one come check out Brookdale, you will love it.

Our experiences with rehab centers was completely different, having to chase after managers and staff to make sure that even a basic level of care was provided.

This is my first time in an Assisted Living Facility but I've been in and out of various 'Health and Rehabilitation Centers' . I'm on a fixed income from retirement, and I have chronic health conditions. My first interaction with Brookdale was a personal interview with Ms Mary Sabio (Health and Wellness Director, LPN). I knew within the first five minutes that I liked her. She was and remains a great representative for Brookdale - knowledgeable, straight-forward, truly cares for the facility, residents, and staff. During my residency here, I've met with her on a few issues that we've worked out very satisfactorily. She listened to my concerns, gathered facts, and implemented solutions. Mrs. Marilou Generro (Resident Engagement Coordinator) is constantly moving and working to implement challenging and engaging activities for the residents. As time consuming as her job is, she finds time to interact with individual residents. She genuinely cares about welfare of all. Mrs Madina Azimi (LPN) interacts and listens to the residents. If there is a concern, I've observed her counseling, patiently explaining Brookdale processes and as needed referrals to one or more of the directors/managers. Very knowledgeable, very thoughtful and insightful, a true leader. Well respected by the residents. Medical technicians of note: Mrs Okimba Fleming, Mrs Sordor Sherif, Mrs Martha Riddle. One common trait in all - constantly learning and willingness to listen and engage the residents. Not demanding. Patiently listening and asking the right questions. Keeping residents informed on medications. Front office staff: Ms Azeb, Mr Earle Perez, Ms Lena Jirasophakul (LPN) - Health and Wellness Coordinator. They were very helpful and insightful in helping me keep my medical appointments and arranging transport. Keeping me informed of billing and upkeep with apartment repairs. Then there is the restaurant staff: Ms Dovie T., Ms Ruby., Ms Ruth and Ms Catherine Velasquez Always warm welcoming demeanor and accommodating to the residents. Food is good as well. Good job to all. Ms Mary Kehinde (Sales Counselor) working to get a friends pertinent information to assess how well Brookdale may meet his medical and physical needs. Very knowledgeable and well spoke with Brookdale's capabilities. She is always in motion. Very helpful. Very easy to converse with.

This is a top tier choice for an assisted living. I toured four in the area and not one of them can compare to Brookdale. The management is so sympathetic and supportive. They believe in collaborative care. The clinical staff is attentive. The food is excellent. Pechola is amazing! She is the program manager for the memory care. She loves her residents and takes them on field trips! I love Dana, the executive director. She made sure all of our mom’s needs were addressed and helped us get a discount so we can move mom in!!

Attended the Summerfest event yesterday and it was great! As always, the food was excellent - kudos to Theresa and her hard-working, very talented crew. Great job by Judy in organizing the event and to all that carried it out. Brookdale is a first class facility staffed with caring professionals. I'm glad that we found it for the care that my mother-in-law needed and deserves. One suggestion: maybe next time have the outstanding musical trio play in another space instead of the same room as the diners. It was a bit loud as mentioned by several attendees. Thanks!

After a bad experience with another Assisted Living facility, I am BEYOND GRATEFUL to have found this place. My mom has been here for about a month now, and my dad is currently in rehab and will be joining her soon. She did nothing but complain about the old place, and when we went to visit dad yesterday, she went on and on to dad about how much she likes it here! Very little staff turnover, excellent care ratios, and great communication. They are quick to recognize and address problems and take the time to discuss with family and answer all your questions. Staff are happy here because management cares about and supports them. Everyone here is caring and compassionate, and they really take the time to get to know each and every resident. Great food, and engaging activities, too. My mom tends to isolate, but she ACTUALLY joined in on Karaoke yesterday! In a few words, THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT!!!

I had my mom and dad at a different facility for 5 years. Had convinced myself that all assisted living facilities are about the same, boy was I wrong! Every employee we have met here is happy to be here and does their job with care and compassion and a smile. We attended the Christmas luncheon we were amazed how many people were there and how delicious the food was. My mom has only been there a short time now but the care she is receiving is far superior from this facility that she was at prior to this. I found an article in US News and world reports that was non-biased and it ranked Brookdale at lake ridge extremely high. It makes it easier for me to sleep at night knowing that she is so well cared for. I highly recommend Brookdale at lake ridge for your loved ones.

After researching, touring and admitting Mom to a couple other Assisted Living Facilities, the difference between Brookdale and the others was very clear. Every staff person is friendly, engaged, patient and seeks to help in any way possible. Staff appeared much better trained than other locations. Everyone at the facility would call us by name. Care was consistently excellent and provided with compassion. Communication was great from all departments. Truly dedicated professionals who make a very positive difference. Management did a fabulous job.

He receives the best care and is treated so well by the staff. I never have to worry about his care like I’ve had to in the past. We moved my mom to Brookdale Lakeridge 2 years ago. She was then in the mid-stages of Alzheimer's. My family and I had never had to deal with moving a loved one to memory care before. With the help, guidance and caring of Lara Mitchka, and Dana Panek, we instantly felt at ease. She settled in very happily but only because of the Loving and Caring staff. When my family and I visit her it is nothing short of wonderful to see how attentive and loving the all the staff are with her. Fast forward to 2025 and it has become necessary to move my mother-in-law in to assisted living. There was only one place that would be the right fit for her as well - Brookdale Lake Ridge! Once again the family was on a very strict budget and had to move very quickly, because of a hospital release date. With the incredible help of the Lara Mitchka , we were able to not only meet our budget, but also get her moved in within 5 days of our first contact with Lara. It felt like she moved mountains for us to get this accomplished. She gave us advice and help with our contract, choosing her apartment, and all the small details of moving her, all while showing nothing but love, support and compassion. We truly found a HOME for Mom! Thank you Lara, your help, guidance and hard work has NOT gone unnoticed! Barb

Due to a family member being ejected from a Rehab facility and having the misfortune of using Kaiser as their insurance, we had 4 days, over Christmas, to get him into another facility. Lara, at Brookdale, worked wonders to help us with paperwork and getting him settled there. All of the nurses and caregivers have been very attentive, professional and kind. This is a well run, attractive facility where we feel the care has been great. Highly recommend!!

My father was a resident at the Lake Ridge location for three years. The staff was always so nice to him. They eventually learned how he operated, observing that he was pretty quiet and wouldn’t ask for help so they learned to check on him more often. It may be smaller than other Assisted living facilities, but that means the residents have more individual care because the staff really gets to know their residents as the ratio of residents to caregivers is smaller. And dad found his favorites in the staff there. My dad was an introvert by nature but the staff never let him be alone for too long. They encouraged him to take part in activities daily. Whenever we walked in or called in, the staff knew exactly who we were and where dad was in the building. If there was ever an emergency, we knew right away and they always called with changes in meds, or concerns they found. We learned to trust them with dad and they always took good care of him. They even checked on him when he was in a rehab facility after a hospital stay. Sadly he passed away last month, but they were very understanding, and worked with us as we transitioned to moving him out.

My mother lived with me for 7 years. I was very hesitant about looking into assisted living for her because I was concerned about her getting the same quality of care that I had provided. When I was no longer able to meet her needs at home, I visited 10 different assisted living communities to try and find the best fit for Mom. I found that Brookdale LakeRidge was a perfect fit. The residence is lovely and the quality of the care Mom receives is excellent! There is a true family atmosphere of caring and support. The staff is always smiling and always responsive. Most importantly, Mom loves it there! Brookdale provides her with social, creative, mental, and physical opportunities that keep her mentally and physically fit. I truly cannot say enough great things about Brookdale. I am so grateful and thankful that Mom lives in a place that makes her happy and that gives me peace of mind.

My mom lived at Brookdale for two years and just recently passed away. She started in Assisted Living, then later transitioned to Memory Care and on-site hospice. This was absolutely the perfect place for her to spend her last years and we are so deeply grateful to everyone there. From the moment we had our first tour of the facility to the day our mother passed away, the Brookdale staff was without exception professional and genuinely caring, and provided my mother with expert and personalized care. I truly felt that they developed personal relationships with her and came to care about her as a person, not just a resident. Their treatment of us as family members was always very respectful and communication lines were always open. My family and I will always be grateful to Brookdale for bringing my mother happiness and peace during this final stage of her life.

Brookdale is fantastic and the perfect new home for my cousin! Yes, the facilities, grounds, food, transportation and third party support (including wonderful doctors like Dr. Chantal Lewis, beauty/barber services, Omnicare prescriptions, Genesis Therapy--all of which are available on-site) are awesome!! However, the absolute best thing about Brookdale Lake Ridge are the caring team there, including Christine with Sales, Karen with Finance, Millie with Nursing, Ellis with Operations, Concierge AZ and Chef Zac!!! My cousin and our family are very appreciative of the little things that they've done to get settled in, like getting the wall mount & TV hooked into the free cable, having wifi for his gaming, talking about his interest in Marvel and working with his cataract surgery appointments. When my parents moved in we were all understandably nervous. But Brookdale and the wonderful staff took every opportunity to ensure my parent's transition was as smooth as possible. Director Jamie and her staff were also happy to give us updates on my parents anytime we called. Fast-forward a year and a half and the caring staff still has the same energy and compassion they exhibited on day one. The peace of mind this gives us is priceless. The facility has been updated to enhance the comfort of the residents and make it feel even more like home. I even recommended Brookdale to my Aunt and now she is a new resident as well.
