Moving to Arbor Terrace was a big change for me, and my first few weeks were definitely overwhelming. I worried about remembering everyone’s names and finding my way around. But little by little it became easier thanks to the kindness of both the staff and residents who have been incredibly welcoming and always willing to help. One of the things I appreciate most is how bright, cheerful, and inviting the community feels. I enjoy staying active by attending exercise classes, art classes, and going out on outings. My family is relieved to know I’m safe, busy, and well cared for. Leaving my home of 30 years was emotional, and that has been the hardest part of this transition. Even so, Arbor Terrace has made me feel supported every step of the way. While no place is perfect, I am very happy with my experience overall.

I just got done touring this assisted living facility and it far exceeded my expectations. I came into this expecting plain looking rooms, boring decorations, and empty communal spaces. This turned out to be untrue as they had great looking decorum all over, a ton of community space that the residents could relax in and interact with each other, and there was even a carnival put on by the facility for the residents and it was super fun to interact with the residents and listen to all of their stories. I could totally see my parents living here one day if it ever came down to it. They also had very good accommodations for Memory Care patients which is always good to see. The staff also knew all the residents by name and vise versa. There is a clear sign of community on both sides. Great place, even better community. Thanks for the tour Kevin!

Arbor Terrace has a lot to offer to its residents. There are always plenty of activities to participate in, and I like that there’s always something new to try. I especially enjoy the exercise groups, painting classes, and holiday celebrations like St. Patrick’s Day and Valentine’s Day. I’ve especially enjoyed our outings like visiting the Manassas battlefield. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always available if you need assistance. Arbor offers a great balance of independence while providing support whenever it’s needed. The weekly housekeeping and laundry services are very helpful, and it’s convenient to have amenities like the beauty salon and visiting healthcare providers on-site.

I’ve been here in Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons for 10 months. We had a Juneteenth concert last week, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was relaxing, the music was age related. Most of the songs I was familiar with and it brought back many pleasant memories from way back. I hope we have more activities like that, with that tone. It was a very pleasant and a nice experience to have been able to listen to all those wonderful songs in such a beautiful way.

The staff is caring and friendly. They offer exercise classes for seniors 6 days a week. The food is decent. They offer free outings to local museums, restaurants, and stores, times to communicate, blackjack, bingo, art, laundry service, religeous services, and a variety of music programs. The apartments are private. The outside seating areas are cozy and comfortable. It's a good place to meet new friends. It's safe. The central location is excellent. It is a lovely place!

I've had a great experience working with the executive director and the management team. All staff are friendly, the building is always a clean and well run facility. In the first 10 days that I’ve been here, I like it so far. Other than being Ill and not being able to take advantage of everything I really like it. I’ve been sleeping well, I’m trying to get myself well so I can participate more in the activities here. I’ve been to 2 happy hours , One while they played blackjack which was very nice, and I also joined in on a spring fling which was very nice. I like the dining, I like the food and the desert !! The Ice cream ! I am an Ice cream-a-holic, which is not a good thing . The nurses have been very good and capable, seem to very well trained, and they’re very pleasant, patient and helpful, they want to help out. I’ve use the gym the PT is a very good program and hopefully it assists me in getting my health back, they’re very friendly and most needed, they want to see me do well. Overall I think the place is well kept. I like it very much.

What really stands out is the staff everyone we’ve interacted with has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring toward the residents. The search for a new home and care for my father was a very difficult one, but the people at Arbor Terrace were wonderful. They helped walk me through every step of what it would take to meet his needs. The pride in their facility was palpable. Ammanuel and Qudsia could not have been more caring. Taking care of aging parents is a God given responsibility and can also be extremely difficult especially when dealing with dementia. The one absolute necessity when having them in an assisted living memory care is a leadership team from that place. With Qudsia Khan at the helm as Operations Manager, and Star Molock as head nurse, we have found a great partnership. They listen, collaboratively braim storm solutions and responsive respectfully and immediately. Thank you to both of you for making this difficult journey a little easier for our loved one, and us.

Recently visited Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons to visit a family friend. I was immediately impressed with how clean and well kept the lobby was and the smell of fresh popcorn filled the air. Had questions while there on how things are done for the residents and the staff was extremely friendly and answered all questions. Residents are always given options on different things to do so they can maintain a good lifestyle and not just a place to stay. I think this is a reflection of a staff and management that care for their residents. Overall a great experience and I will recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of services

My experience has been much more pleasant than I was looking for. I did not want to come here, but It surprised me how much I like this place, the people are very friendly, the workers and the residents . Everyone in this building is very upbeat and with a smile and not afraid to say Hello. In the dining room people I’ve never met before , came up to me and said Hi and started really great conversations. The nursing staff and the PT I love ! I love Sam! I love Karen ! Ashley does day time during the week in the Kitchen as a server, I love her ! She’s very nice, she’ll help me order what I want. She’s very sociable and nice. The engagement team is very lovely, always with a smiling grin and very open I love when Alan sings the oldies for activities. He was also very welcoming when I first moved here. The activities here are nice, I need to go to more of them. Last Thursday we went to Hobby Lobby and I had a blast ! I really like this place and I enjoy my being here. It keeps surprising me how much I feel good here. My sister is also surprised of how much I like it here!

There's so much love in this building. My day starts with the wonderful CNAs who bring me my daily activity sheet, and from there I can already feel the sense of care and kindness that exists among the residents and the staff who work hard to make our lives pleasant. It's a genuine feeling that I get to experience every single day. We recently had our annual Christmas event, which was beautifully executed by Janelle, our Engagement Director. She brought in live musicians who sang for us, and the building was filled with lovely decorations that truly captured the Christmas spirit at Arbor Terrace. The activities I enjoy the most are the musical ones, so l always look forward to Happy Hours with Alan, one of the Activity Coordinators and a very talented musician. Others who make my days brighter at Arbor Terrace are Andy and Richard from the Maintenance Department, who are always pleasant, friendly, and enjoyable to talk to. One area that could sometimes use improvement is the food wait times, as service can sometimes be a bit slow. That said, our Dining Director does a great job, and the servers are kind, hardworking, and attentive, which I truly appreciate.

Sam is a very nice and very helpful person, she's special, The one who I have most experiences with. I have been at Arbor Terrace over a year and a half. When I first arrived, I was still in shock from going through almost 2 years of losing family, friends every month including my husband and dog. Arbor Terrace has greatly helped me get through all the drama of loses in my life. The monthly activities calendar includes exercise classes, outings to museums, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, banks and doctor appointments that our 2 shuttle drivers provide expert assistance in loading and off-loading residents and their purchases. Also included are art classes and activities to local art facilities. We even went to a Dinner Theater for a meal and play that was fabulous. Thanks to our Recreation Director, Janelle, who is fabulous, we celebrate monthly birthday parties, holiday parties, games like Bocci, game shows, etc. The Resident meetings, Food meetings, Activities meetings, have provided the Arbor Directors and their staff with new ideals to keep the residents moving with activities. I would like to call out several staff members who go out of their way to make us feel like family. Shakira, Caleb, Chris and Ashley from the Restaurant staff who keep the residents meals moving. Janelle, Scarlet, and Allen, for finding new and exciting activities for the residents. Qudsia, Kevin, Bernice, Andy, Kathy, Saoudatou, Andrew, Ammanuel, Guy, Star, Janelle and Rhanessa who manage the daily corporate operations and interaction with residents. I could go on but wanted to let you know there's still more than I can explain like the HouseKeepers, Mobile Library, Car shows etc.

The actions attitudes of the residents, staff and management combine to make this a very special place to live. The residents, for the most part, are warm, consider, and eager to participate in the many activities made available. The staff is both caring and responsive, and very often, anticipate the varied needs of residents. Management maintains open lines of communication with residents and is receptive to both comments and suggestions. Since my mom moved in about a month ago, Arbor Terrace has been wonderful in so many ways and in each department. The hands on staff have met our needs emotionally and physically in every way. The Angel of Arbor Terrace Shikera Wade is a Godsend to Arbor Terrace. She treats everyone with respect and dignity. She manages to make each one of us feel "special!" She gives us each individually our favorite treat (a banana, oatmeal raisin cookies, vanilla ice cream, potato chips, etc). She knows each of our names, kneels down next to our chair to discuss any meal concerns, makes sure to approach us on our strongest hearing ear to converse. I wanted to an update now that my mom has been there for three months. She couldn't be happier, the staff take such amazing care of the residents. They are treated like family, the staff are over the top when it comes to kindness, support, and making sure the residents are well cared for. They have so many activities to keep them active, plus having physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy onsite saves time gong back and forth to outside locations. Our whole family is so impressed with the care mom is receiving, it is such a relief to know that she has a new home with her every need looked after. This is a process that is never easy but having selected Arbor Terrace was such a relief. Vincent is amazing, there are so many decisions to make and his expertise in the whole process is such a comfort. The place is bright and cheerful, the people are all kind and welcoming. My Experience with Shikera “ By Teresa Alexander I’ve been at Arbor Terrace long enough to know that a good meal isn’t just about the food”it’s about the people, the little moments of kindness, the feeling that you belong. And if there’s one person who makes sure we all feel that way, it’s Shikera. I remember one evening when I just wasn’t myself. I wasn’t hungry, and the lively chatter around me felt distant. I must have been pushing my food around my plate for a while because, before I knew it, Shikera was right there beside me. She pulled up a chair, placed a gentle hand on mine, and asked, Ms. Teresa, what’s on your mind? At first, I brushed it off, not wanting to be a bother. But the way she looked at me”kind, patient, like she really wanted to know”I couldn’t help but open up. I told her I was feeling a little lonely that day, missing my family more than usual. She didn’t rush me. She didn’t try to fix it with empty words. She just listened. And then, with that warm smile of hers, she said, You are never alone here. We are your family, too. A few minutes later, one of the servers brought me a bowl of my favorite soup and a cup of tea, just the way I like it. I hadn’t asked for it”I didn’t have to. That’s just how Shikera is. She had also rearranged the seating a little, making sure I was next to a few friends who always lift my spirits. By the time dessert came around, I was laughing again, my heart a little lighter. That’s the thing about Shikera. She doesn’t just run the dining room”she fills it with warmth. She knows every single one of us by name, remembers what we like, and notices when something isn’t quite right. She keeps the dining room running like clockwork, but more importantly, she makes it feel like home. I’ve seen her handle the busiest mealtimes without breaking a sweat, making sure everything is just so”tables set perfectly, meals served promptly, and not a single water glass left unfilled. But no matter how hectic it gets,gets; she never loses sight of what truly matters: the people sitting at those tables. She leads with kindness, teaching her staff to do the same. She sets high standards, not by demanding, but by showing them what care really looks like. And when a problem comes up, she doesn’t panic”she solves it, calmly and efficiently, making sure we never have to worry about a thing. For me, and for so many others, Shikera isn’t just a manager. My mom has been in the Memory Care (Evergreen) neighborhood for 2.5 years. The staff in the neighborhood and throughout the facility is compassionate and attentive. But one of the best things at Arbor Terrace is the salon. Tracy is amazing and always manages to draw Mom out and make her feel special and pampered. Mom has a standing, every other week, appointment and her interaction with Tracy always gives me a glimpse of Mom of ten years ago. I highly recommend Arbor Terrace (and especially Tracy!).

What a beautiful community! Light-filled and well appointed, it offers every amenity a family might want and an engaging and friendly staff. While we settled on a smaller property for our Mother’s new home based on where she is in her journey, it was a difficult choice to make because Arbor Terrace is so welcoming. My sister and I toured Arbor Terrace with Lisa. Lisa was patient and knowledgeable and proved herself to be an excellent resource for the stage of life that we are finding ourselves in. My sister and I were touring the property to find a home for our mother. The Bridges Facility is absolutely perfect! The entire facility looked, felt, and smelled clean. The staff were all friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We were able to interact with a few of the residents who seemed equally happy there. If you’re looking for a new home or a place for a loved one, please consider Arbor Terrace in Prince William County Virginia!

Rhanessa is the epitome of a hard working young lady. She has many outstanding qualities. Her personality, her smile, her work ethic, and her positive attitude. She has an outgoing personality, just observing her at work, you can tell she enjoys what she’s doing. Her smile is infectious . She greets each resident with a smile, it is easy to return her smile. Her work ethic is outstanding. She tries to greet each resident as quickly as possible. After a time or two with her guests she knows the eating habits of most - drink, salad dressing, salad ingredients, and desserts. For some residents, she will squat down to their level to talk and get their order. Rhanessa seems to have only one speed-fast, she gives each resident the best service possible, she is so deserving of any recognition given to her.

I was visiting a loved one at Arbor Terrace last week. When we needed help with a leaking toilet, Erick and Andy in maintenance came to save the day! They came in a timely fashion for what we thought was going to be an HUGE emergency, but Erick and Andy were very polite and made sure to take care of our worries. They had the issue resolved quickly and easily! They are definitely a fantastic team.

This review is long overdue. I just wanted to say thank you to both Andy and Eric, who are part of the maintenance team at Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons. Every time my father needed assistance with something in his apartment, they promptly took care of it. Not only are they very professional, they are very personable and always attentive and respectful”-making sure my father is always at ease. I want to especially thank Andy for always recognizing my wife and I every time he sees us in the hallway, saying hello and making sure that there are no additional maintenance issues for my father. Much appreciated!!! Keep up the great work. Also, I just wanted to give an additional shout out and thanks to Scarlett who instructs the exercise classes for my father, and Cathy at the front desk who is always there to greet and assist me with all our needs. There are too many other staff members to name from housekeeping, to nurses, to food, administration etc but thanks to the rest of the Arbor Terrace staff for making my father comfortable and our family always feel welcome!!!

Andy went way out of his way to help me with the rug in Betty's room. After determining the cause of the leak, he repaired a part of the toilet that was leaking and then dried the rug (a project involving several days). The workmanship was professional and he and his crew performed quickly. He and his staff are first rate!

Along with many activities that Brittany provides, a well stocked library with a lovely fireside reading area. What is there not to like!? Oh, and they are super super neat and clean!

Andy and Eric fixed my closet door in my bathroom twice on 2 different sides at 2 different times, now it's working properly. They painted my room from electric chair scuffs when I was first learning how to use it. They both changed my light bulbs outside my door and they are both so pleasant to talk to and be around! Brittany has also been there for me at different times I've needed help with electronic issues. She's very easy to talk with and I enjoy all the activities she comes up with! She's so nice and I always tell her she can never leave us! Everyone has been so nice here, the CNA'S are all so pleasant and helpful.

At 2:05 in the morning the refrigerator made a loud sound. Staff immediately attended to my needs and called maintenance to report issue. 8:05 am maintenance arrived to fix problem, came in, and solved the issue in about 5 minutes! He solved a complicated job so quickly. Eric went above and beyond to meet my needs and I am so appreciative of him. There are really great people in this building. When I participate in activities it’s always very pleasant.

Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons has been an answer to our prayers. From the first moment we met Community Sales Director, Lisa Stiegel, she was beautiful, gentle, empathetic and extremely kind. She was our unwavering guide through a difficult process, always going above and beyond. She helped us get through some very rough obstacles. She found solutions to help us through a very hard time and I am so grateful to her. Arbor Terrace's Resident Care Supervisor, Bernice Addai, first met us for an assessment. She arrived with a warm smile gentle heart and she is definitely an expert in her profession. This made my mom feel instantly at ease “ even calling Bernice, a "new friend". Bernice, is always on top of everything. She definitely does her job very well and handles her nurses and aid staff professionally. Bernice also ensures that the residence health needs are addressed as well taken care of. I also really enjoy all her nurses. Cassandra and Ivy shows constant patience, kindness and empathy. They also take time to hear the residence issues or needs. Qudisa Khan, though new to Arbor Terrace as the Executive Director, she radiates a genuine care for the community. She was also very personable and kind. Kevin Spaulding, the Business Office Director is so in tuned into his purpose and why he is in this profession at this Assisted Living. Beside witnessing his beautiful and fun character, every time we enter into the building, I also witness how he communicates and operates with his staff or team. Kevin and his concierge team create a welcoming atmosphere every single day. From answering the phones to greeting every single person that walks through the door. They also take the time to engage with the residents and families that pass by their desk. The concierge team makes everyone, residence and families feel like they've all come home. Kathy, Dalis and Amber are super nice , engaging and caring. They too go above and beyong their positions. They have a heart for these residents. And I can see it and I can feel it. But it's the ENTIRE staff that are truly wonderful and all work together as one. The nurses, aides, drivers, kitchen staff, event director ..everyone goes above and beyond to make residents (and families) feel valued. And let's also mention Andy Butcher, The Director of maintenance. He is super responsive and kind. I've asked for an extra key to be made and I never had to ask twice. It was ready the very next day. I thought we had a small maintenance issue ( due to my own actions), Andy answered my call and was ready to fix my issue. It's nice to know, that there is no worries about maintenance when they have a dedicated maintenance director in-house. Also, Chiquetta Beard, Arbor Terrace's Resident Driver/Transporter is a sweetheart! To take on the responsibility of driving around senior residents is a big taking. But, she does this with the smile and you can feel the love that she has for these residents. I was super amazed that she picked my mother up from dialysis one day of which I didn't think that my mother was planned on being picking by Arbor Terrace. When Chiquetta arrived at the dialysis, she arrived with a welcoming big smile. I told her I didn't expect them to pick my mom up that day. She responded and said "We will never forget your mother". Her words were so comforting. Just knowing that my mother will always be taken care of by a great staff who has love in their hearts, allows me to sleep at night. The facility is beyond gorgeous, and is extremely clean. They have activities abound, the meals are delicious and most importantly, my 85 year old mother will be safe, loved and will thrive at Arbor Terrace . I am eternally grateful and blessed to have found Arbor Terrace. It takes certain special gifted people to work in this this field or environment. I believe Arbor Terrace got it right when they hired their staff. This is The perfect place for our seniors, our parents, our loved ones to call home.

I moved here because I was told they had 3 eating venues, and a resident Chef de Cuisine. Since Arbor company took over, we have 1 dining venue. In that dining room we get mostly sandwiches at lunch, and mediocre to poor dinner options. Poorly trained cooks mean many residents go off menu and order a hamburger or hot dog! I’ve never had to eat so many hamburgers in my life! The Residents themselves are the friendliest I’ve ever experienced in a facility! Most of my caregivers are great, but there are a few who obviously hate their job and it shows. All in all, i’d look elsewhere, since management appears to be helpless. Nice, beautiful building, lobby shampooed and decorated seasonally, but that’s as far as it goes. My apartment, (stained carpet from previous tenant) has never been shampooed, and I have been here 1 & 1/2 years now!

Arbor Terrace is a wonderful place to live and visit. It is clean and beautifully decorated. The apartments are spacious with high ceilings and large windows that provide so much natural light. The small kitchen area has lots of cabinet and counter space. There is full size sink, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom is large and has plenty of room for a walker or wheelchair. There are a variety of different healthy meal options. There is a wide variety of activities for residents and many special celebrations (birthdays, mother day, Father's Day and other holidays). Every staff member is friendly, kind and welcoming. They take wonderful care of my mother from the nursing staff, care partners, laundry service, housekeeping, dining and activities. The nursing staff is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Arbor Terrace to anyone that desires a safe, healthy and loving environment for their family member. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that my mom is so well cared for by so many loving people. I can't say enough good things about Arbor Terrace.

The entire staff at Harbor Chase of Prince William Commons was terrific. Nancy Coleman, Bernice, Susan Haynes, Kevin, the staff at the concierge desk, the dining facility staff, and the med tech team were all professional, friendly, and great people.
