I went to visit my Mother in Law - and once in memory care facility I couldn’t get out when I tried to exit - I knocked for a while and nobody came. Finally I went back to the nurse station all the way back around to the other side in memory care and found a nurse to let me out . It would be easier for a family member to have their own temporary code to get out of the locked facility to prevent being locked in (especially on an evening or a weekend after normal hours). There was one resident man who followed me into the sitting room on the other side of the door with the paper books covering it and I said I didn’t think he was supposed to be there and I didn’t like being alone with him in that room because he acted like he wanted out and he was a few feet from me - and he had rushed into that room when I went thru the door so he scared me (I didn’t know if he was harmless or not). I was knocking incessantly and nobody came .He kept asking me questions on how to get out . Also: the brand new wheelchair ordered by hospice was NOT in her room when I was there. There were two older wheelchairs in her room - not the kind with the tall back and foot pedals. Last time we were there the foot peddle things were missing- so it was Difficult to push her outside . Overall - and Care wise - we feel Waterford has been wonderful To work with. The hospice care amazing as well - there was just a few minor things as mentioned above, which is somewhat understandable in a memory care facility - that things could go missing.

This facility hosts several events throughout the year for their residents, staff and family members. Every event I have attended has been enjoyable. Seeing the smiles on the residents faces and how happy the staff are to participate, is really nice to see. The food is good when I have eaten there, and if I could afford it, I would love to live there.

I have had multiple patients living in this facility over the past 3 years and I will say this- the DON Fran truly knows ALL of these patients along with Mona who is always filling us in on patient updates. I have had a wonderful experience with the staff over the years including Jo, Ruby, and Desheena in assisted living and Tabitha, Lianna, and Donnete in memory care I can't say how great it is to see the same staff members each time I visit. Grateful for this facility and their staff!

Fran and Mona and donetta and grace are amazing. If I could rate a 10 I would. All the aides and med techs and employees are awesome. Very clean and they’re compassionate about their residents. When I get ready to go to a facility I’m going there. They care and that’s hard to find. I love you all and thank you. All of you rock !!

This is a great assisted living choice. My grandma loves the employees, she constantly talks about them. She even told me if it wasn’t for how nice the staff was she doesn’t know what she would do. Everytime I come in everyone always greets me. The place is pretty clean too. Shout out to the employees!

Admittedly this review is based on one communication with the Waterford but it really got under my skin and they wouldn’t hear me out so I’m posting to vent but also in hopes that they might update and adjust some policies. My siblings and I do not have a strong relationship but they live closer and are more in charge of my mother’s care. Until this stage of life I have always been her person but I moved away and now don’t get to serve that role. I called to check on my mom and was told she was not at the facility but in the hospital and there was nothing they could tell me because they can’t verify who I am. I could tell them and any and everything about my mom. We are besties but they wouldn’t budge. On the one hand, i appreciate the security but I should be able to prove I’m her daughter and get information on her care and whereabouts. Led me into a complete panic attack to call and learn she was hospitalized and I had no way of even knowing if she was alive.

Today I enjoyed playing cornhole with 3 residents in Magnolia Trails. Later in the afternoon everyone enjoyed pumpkin milkshakes during a food demo by Rainey. I love the way family members and friends are always welcome and included!

I am concerned about some procedures and methods and would like to sit down and discuss my concerns. I do not want to post my concerns here. I would appreciate an appointment if possible. I have included pictures of a wheelchair in resident’s room. The gown, the wheelchair and facecloth does not belong here. Does that mean someone came in this room, took a shower and left gown and wheelchair in the room!?!? Another client came in room to use bathroom, but missed the toilet and used the floor!! This is very disturbing!!

My 95 year old Mother spent her final few months at the Waterford and while the experience wasn't perfect, it was clear that the staff truly did their best to provide kind and compassionate care to my Mom and family. The team went out of their way to ensure my Mom was clean and comfortable, and their dedication to making sure everyone felt safe and well-cared for was evident. The caregivers were patient, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, offering emotional and physical support whenever needed. That being said, one area for improvement would be the food. The meals served weren’t up to par, and it was a bit disappointing considering how important nutrition and meal enjoyment are for residents. There was a lack of variety and taste, which seemed to be a common concern among residents. I appreciate this is a common concern in many other assisted living facilities. Despite the food not meeting expectations, the level of care was excellent. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with respect and warmth, this facility is a solid choice. They may not have everything perfect, but their commitment to providing comfort and dignity shines through. I especially want to sincerely thank Ruby and Tess who my Mom truly loved as they both went above and beyond their duties to take care of her. I also thank Elizabeth who often watched over my Mom at night along with the other night shift staff who were warm and professional.

The Waterford seams to be constantly under staff. While my brother-in-law was there there was always trash on the floor and the room smelled. He is now at another assisted living facility close by and those problems don't exist there. Rarely do management return phone calls and my emails were ignored. My brother-in-law left there in mid May and still has not received money that is due to him.

We especially enjoyed the extra love and concern of Danielle Curtis, who talked extensively with us about mom and knew so much about her likes/dislikes, and needs. The rooms are two small for a couple. Only a bed and half a dresser which is also a tv stand Small closet and room for 2 small chairs. Family who love there loves ones please make sure they are put in a place like you are at your home. Sad people forget how there family too care of them. Praying for all who in one of these places and have been forgotten by there so call love ones.

My dad has lived here for a little over 3 months and he feels safe, happy, well cared for and enjoys all the friendships he has made and enjoys going to the dining room to sit with his friends for meals. I love that he can still have the independence he needs with the assistance a call away. Maintenance handles any problems immediately and the apartments are clean, spacious and have all the amenities he needs. The building smells fresh and clean with zero nursing home odors. That was very important to my dad.

You need a system of buzzers so that visitors can get out of the area when visiting. We were stuck behind a door and had to call the front desk to get someone to get us out. You need a better system.

I experienced for the first time having to research for my husband an assistant living community, I was referred to Waterford Senior Living by AJ of Caring. Com. I obtained a tour of the community very quickly and my daughter and I visited Waterford and were pleased to find that it is a beautiful place safe and person-centered, very nice, and spacious, and has every accommodation that anyone could ever want and need. I was greatly impressed. We were impressed with Jane Lee Warren who assisted us with a tour. I would say the individuals appeared to be very comfortable, active and pleased. I was pleasantly surprised that the Waterford was the type of place where you could live with dignity and respect while still maintaining a good quality of life, Waterford offers a variety of activities in the form of computer accommodations, a library, movies, fine dining, a spacious community area where everyone can commune and enjoy football, etc. just a great place for anybody to reside. my first time meeting the Waterford staff; the professionalism is top tier. The Waterford offers and maintains optimal care and a high quality of life and will be very happy there. I recommend the Waterford as a viable option when selecting an assisted living community. I wasn’t able to take advantage of what was offered. Sadly, my husband had another idea. However, I know the option is always available. I thank everyone who made our experience calm and pleasant as opposed to being a task. Thank you.

Checking in on the tablet is not a problem but when we check out and select later it means we’re regulars and we don’t care about doing a survey. Instead we get a text 2 seconds later asking if we can do a survey. This needs to be fixed. I’m also going to complain about the food. This is a common complaint among a lot of the residents. They are referring to those meals as slop. Everytime I hit later and get a text I’m going to complain about these two items.

There is a smell in the resident halls now. I do understand what they're with but one thing I really liked about The waterford, when we toured, was how it did not smell like most facilites. Maybe air purifiers throughtout the halls would help !
