Aviva has been absolutely wonderful with providing care and safety to my mother in law with late stage dementia, especially since her private home caregiver Wendy T went rogue and decided she was in charge of making all decisions regarding her care and refused to accept our family's decision to place her at this facility due to her dementia progressing. This caregiver made my mother in law's move really difficult and caused her significant distress. Aviva handled this disturbed caregiver professionally and always had my mother in law's best interest in mind. They assisted with her move /transition and continue to keep her safe. She's now thriving and enjoys living at Aviva.

This place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ! I have been to several facilities like this. I have never saw a more caring staff. The maintenance men will even jump in & help serve food if they are needed. Everyone stops & talks to the residents. We lost my mother in law on March 11, 2025. Everyone offered their condolences. They gave us all hugs & asked to keep them updated on my father in law.

I love living here. There are many opportunities to socialize with others - from the numerous activities to sharing meals. It's clear that the staff and residents care about each other. Baldwin Park is big enough to have an interesting program of activities and entertainment and small enough to know everybody. It's a warm, caring family.

Making the decision to place a parent in an assisted living facility is one of the hardest I ever made. But, choosing Brightview Baldwin Park was the best decision I could make. The facility is lovely, warm, and welcoming. I can't say enough positive things about the staff. Every person who plays a part in my Mom's care is competent, personable, attentive, caring, and compassionate. Mom likes her apartment, is very content, enjoys the various activities and loves the food. Would highly recommend Brightview Baldwin Park.

I have been listening to complaints about excessively long wait for meals to be served only to receive cold inedible food. My parent has enjoyed living there except for the food problems !

Coming up on my mother's two year anniversary at Brightview, I am glad my Mom was in Brightview during COVID restrictions. They took COVID safety protocols seriously while keeping residents mental needs in mind, providing safe activities to minimize isolation. It is convenient they have a room for rental when visiting residents.

I think one nice thing that would be added could be that you have a pot of coffee through the day that when family comes to visit their family members they are they could enjoy a cup while they are visiting

My father’s experience has been wonderful. He moved into Brightview a few months before Covid. The team there was wonderful helping him settle in, he likes the food and the gym. He has become very comfortable. Even though the restrictions over the last year have been hard, the staff has been considerate and helpful. Sincerely appreciate all they do.

My mother moved to Brightview Baldwin Park from another Independent living community. She often says, she wishes she had made this move much sooner! The staff at Brightview are very caring and helped to make her transition to a new place go very smoothly. Even though, everyone was confined to their apartments for much of the pandemic, the staff kept them engaged with entertainment in the hallways, BINGO games in the doorways, little treats dropped off, and so much more! My family and I have so appreciated the very timely communication from Kristi, the director, throughout this past year. I wish I could name each staff member and thank you individually for ALL you have done (and continue to do) for the residents. Please know that each of you is very appreciated and much loved by my mother and her family. I highly recommend Brightview Baldwin Park as a caring, active, and "vibrant" retirement community!

Baldwin Park has been a wonderful experience for my mother who had been a resident for 19 years and will celebrate her 100th birthday in June. From the administrative staff to each and every associate she had been treated with respect, care and patience for which we are very grateful.

Brightview is a very special place. My husband is in assisted living and has been well treated, physically, psychologically, and spiritually. THis last you would not find in many such facilities, and is very important to both of us. When I visit, I am always met with smiles and a positive attitude. Ralph has made many friends among the staff, who appreciate his wry wit, not to mention his Trivia talents! Thank God for Brightview, which I do every day. The staff are not just well-trained and efficient but also wise. Brightview has made my husband's illness and declining health something we had not thought we could bear.

I can't sing enough praises for Brightview Baldwin Park which has offered a safe home away from home to my mother. The sense of family and community has been most important when I couldn't be there in person during the pandemic. The staff worked tirelessly to keep the residents engaged, active, and loved. The mitigation strategies and leadership kept ALL safe which gave me such peace. My mother moved to Staunton from out of state to be near me, and I could not have asked for a smoother transition for her. She often states that this was the BEST decision she's made. My mother lives at Brightview Baldwin Park. While she was not happy that she had to stay in her apartment when "the virus" was at its worst, she was kept well. The staff has kept families informed of what was going on and answered questions in a timely manner. I know it was difficult for the residents to not be with others, but because of the precautions taken, the virus was almost nonexistent. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to make this time as tolerable as possible.
