My parents lived at Sunrise in their final years. I was blown away by the care and attentiveness of the staff. The staff were so genuine, compassionate, and attentive to detail. I was living halfway around the world, and it was an enormous source of reassurance to know my parents were so well looked after and cared for. For three years this window was my father’s view.

High marks to Sunrise for excellent food. Friends and I joined a resident there for an early Thanksgiving Dinner. The turkey dinner with all of the trimmings was absolutely delicious. The staff was most welcoming and helped served dinner. Thanksgiving decorations made it a festive occasion. We have dined there other times and have always enjoyed the food. Thank you to the staff at Sunrise for a most enjoyable evening.

When my sister could no longer live on her own, she moved into Sunrise. The staff welcomed her and she loved her big room with lots of windows. She needed medication management and physical therapy, and eventually went into hospice care. The care team at Sunrise took great care of her. Any concerns that any of us had were always quickly addressed.

My father has been a resident of the memory care unit since early 2021. Prabha and her staff have provided excellent care for my father. The staff is patient and very attentive. They go above and beyond to make my father comfortable and involve him in activities to help make his life more fulfilling and meaningful during what is an extremely difficult time in his life.

I placed my wife at Sunrise of Springfield almost two years ago, in the Memory Care Unit. My experience there has been remarkably good. The daily care for my wife, and compassion and professionalism of the workers and management has been remarkable. I have nothing but good to say about the place. I can unreservedly recommend Sunrise of Springfield and its Memory Care facility. They've made the best of impossible situation for me and my wife.

We can’t thank the team at Sunrise in Springfield, VA enough for everything they did for our family. We struggled for a long time on what would be the best way to care for our mother, who was diagnosed with dementia, when we could no longer care for her ourselves. After trying home care we eventually decided on admitting her in an assisted living program. We visited several fascilities and chose the Sunrise Springfield which had a Memory Care Section. We were truly blessed to find this place. We are forever grateful to the team that provided exceptional care for our mother. They were so kind to her. We visited often and they kept us updated about everything. They were very responsive to all of our concerns and questions. Our mother was there for 5 years until she passed away. We are comforted in knowing that she was always well taken care of. We built such a close bond to several of the caretakers that they became like family and we still keep in touch until this day. Words can’t express our gratitude to them all forever.

When I arrived at Sunrise of Springfield for my initial visit, I was weary. From having to care for my mother (at home) and trying to find a suitable facility to care for her Alzheimers. Before the tour started, the young lady who I was meeting with noticed that I was tired and simply asked, Have you eaten today? I had to think about it and I hadn’t. She called someone to make me a small sandwich lunch. She waited for me to have a few bites before we began the meeting/tour. I KNEW at that moment, this was where I wanted my mother to be. To notice that I was tired, caring if I had eaten, and waiting before we talked business so that I could have some sustenance, let me know that if this was how they treated a visitor, my mother was going to be in good hands. I actually cried; from being overwhelmed by her care for me and that my mother had Alzheimers and I could no longer care for her. THIS is Sunrise of Springfieldthey not only care about the residents, but the family members too. I highly recommend this facility to anyone that has a parent in need of Memory Care Services. You won’t be disappointed.

Extremely well-managed company with a caring local resident staff and culture. Not the low-end (marginal services/staff) and far less expensive than the high-end ultra-expensive. Just a great solution for us middle-class seniors with an elder that cannot stay at home anymore but want within 5 mins for visiting.
