My father became a resident at Morningside in the West End after being asked to leave his previous facility (Sunrise). To put it simply, he is a challenging person, but I felt that there was a lack of strong leadership, accountability, and ethics in the entire Sunrise organization as well. When my father was at Sunrise, I constantly received phone calls concerning my father’s behavior, conflicts with the staff, etc. (Please note – there were some truly wonderful members of the Sunrise staff, but there were also some bad apples and the entire experience was somewhat of a nightmare.) There was a lot of pressure put on me to remedy the conflicts between my father and the staff, which was extremely frustrating for me. Our experience at Morningside has been vastly different. During his year and a half there, I have yet to receive ONE phone call concerning my dad and his behavior. I know that he is still a challenge to work with, the difference comes from the leadership. Anne Goueth, his primary nurse at Morningside, and her staff have been a godsend. They work seamlessly to overcome this challenging situation. The staff looks after him extremely well and has been diligent with ensuring he always has the best care possible and takes care of his every need (literally). They are kind and friendly and my dad’s complaints have become much less frequent. I really cannot say enough good about Morningside and their staff.

Rebecca was our first contact to set up my family member’s admission to Morningside. She was amazing! Rebecca was knowledgeable, thorough, patient and so very kind. We felt as though she really cared and wanted to do what was absolute best for my family. It was refreshing to have such a smooth and relaxing interaction.

Many concerns at move in. Problems have taken care of. LTC insurance w as bigest concern. Problem with onnectinng with personnel seems to be getting better. Threft was issue at move in but no problems now. Nice clean facility with very friendly statt.

For 99% of the time I have been extremely pleased with the staff and the administration. I would definitely recommend Morningside West Assisted Living to family and friends. The staff have gone above and beyond during this c-19 virus. God bless them all!!

Every time I visit my mother at Morningside, shes always hugging a staff member or theyre loving on her. They really do seem to care about her and are very good with follow-through. In fact, when Mom was confused about where to put her used laundry, staff alerted me that her hamper wasnt full on wash days. Some people would have kept quiet and thought, Less work for me, but when we figured out the dirty clothes had been going back into the drawers and closets with the clean ones, the lovely laundry lady took *ALL* of Moms clothes to wash and make sure everything was clean.

My mom has been a resident at Morningside since February and I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Putting mom into assisted living is a decision I dreaded, but she constantly tells me how much she loves it there and how good everyone is to her. Makes me feel so less guilty and I know she is happy, well fed and safe. The facility is clean, smells good and the staff go out of their way to see that mom has everything she needs. I am thankful every day that we chose Morningside.

My sister and I showed up without an appointment to see the community and from the time that we walked in the front door until we left we felt welcomed. Morninside is the only community that we looked at for my parents and we will not look at any others. Rebeccas presentation and enthusiasm won us over , along with the delicious signature cookies that Chef Rachel made us.

I too was at the Thanksgiving Lunch and thought the staff did an excellent job. The patience, kindness and personal attention they show for their residents is far above anything I have ever seen. We were one of the last to be served and there was plenty of food. I learned later that over 25 more guests showed up than had RSVPd and still everyone was welcomed. If 25 people showed up at my house unannounced for dinner, I dont think I would be as nice. That said -- those that did not bother to RSVP should be ashamed of yourself

Both my parents were residents for over two years and received excellent care. The facility has a caring staff, the rooms are well maintained and both considered this home. Be clear, this is not a nursing home with hospital like facilities and its not a retirement village with dancing til 10. Its a wonderful facilities for adult who need help caring for themselves.

My sister in law has been a resident for a year and we have been satisfied with the care she has been given. No one and no place is perfect but morningside comes close to it. A shout out to Barbara the receptionist who greets with enthusiasm and to Tyler Hollander the chef and his staff for putting on an 80th birthday celebration with gluten free pies and all thats needed to make the party perfect. Thank you to all who work hard to make my sister in law comfortable.

I Couldnt have asked for a better community for my father. The sales director was wonderful to work with. My Father Moved from out of state and she made the process so easy. She worked with us every step of the way. The staff has been great and my father loves it.He has gotten involved in the activities and met new friends. I am grateful for all they have done for us. I couldnt have asked for a better community for my father to live.

If you are looking for a great Assisted Living Community for a loved one I would highly suggest Morningside In The West End . From the food the care and the social opportunities they offer it is by far the best !! They offer a family like environment and they BEAUTIFUL enclosed courtyard is amazing!

My mother is a resident at Morningside and everyone has been very nice and attentive to her needs and have worked with my family to enable her adjustment to Assisted Living. The nursing team will call me if any issues arise and help in any way. I am confident that I made the right choice in Morningside for my mother.

Morningside in the West end is one of the most wonderful asisted living facilities that I have had the pleasure to visit be associalted with. I believet that it begins with their excellent their Marketing Director, who do not hesitate to seek out to other mental health resourceful agencies to come together interact and share there servces with Morningside and one another. All of the staff are very friendly, carng and supportive of the elderly population.I must say that I am very impressed with Ms. Rebecca McQuinn, she is always very pleasant, work with everyone and make sure that everything is ok. I am very pleased

I just wanted to share my wonderful tour experience that I had with this community. my family and I had a scheduled tour on a Saturday and Rebecca the marketing person was so welcoming and accommodating. She took time to get to know us, my mother and our needs.

This has been the best place for my dad they have treated him excellent. The food is great, the people are great they have abundance of activities for them to do I cant say enough about the staff always there if you need them.

Morningside West End was the only facility that returned our call for respite care for my Mom in our time of need. The staff was reassuring to us that she would be OK. When we needed to transition her to permanent resident, they were helpful in moving her to a permanent room. The staff is very kind and caring both for my Mom and for the family. They truly do care about their residents as their family. I was most impressed that ALL of the staff greeted us as we passed in the hallway, from housekeeping up to administration. The size is perfect for everyone to be able to call Mom by her name and get to know her well even though they may not work directly with her. The food is delicious and the kitchen will cater to special dietary preferences. They go out of their way to keep up with cleanliness. Needless to say, our family has been very pleased with the care we all have received.
