I was discharged from VCU medical center to Westport health and rehabilitation center for physical therapy after my spinal surgery. The staff here in Westport treated me with dignity and respect especially nurse aide Mike Palmer. His communication and customer service skills were at the top level which provided me was excellent medical care as well to the other residents here. I like to than Mike Palmer as the other staff members in Westport health and rehabilitation center for a job well done

I truly appreciate the compassionate care my brother is receiving at Westport. The nurses are attentive and always take the time to answer my questions and address any concerns, following up with the doctor when needed. The speech therapist and rehabilitation team have been wonderful, and the office staff has been kind and very helpful as well. I’m grateful for the dedication and support shown by everyone involved in his care.

My sibling was discharged and they continued deducting money from his account until I contactedepth. billing dept. wanting answers. I was told that corporate would research and issue a refund. It has been over a week. Still waiting for this to be resolved.

My family member has been a patient at Westport for over 6 months. During that time we have visited everyday and interacted with staff members of all types - clinical and nursing staff, administrators, social workers, occupational and physical therapists. While everyone has been welcoming and responsive to concerns we have shared, typical challenges "For Profit" Facilities face have impacted our experience - overworked nursing/care staff, nonfunctioning TV's & Nurse Call Systems, unappetizing food, and lacking/limited access to necessary services (podiatrist/pedicures, hair cuts, showers, shaving.) Despite these challenges, we have noticed Westport's new Administrator, Duane Smith, NHA has been making significantly-positive changes over the past several weeks. Meals are being served in the dining room, patient accounts are being brought up to date, spaces around the campus are becoming more utilized for varied activities, patient and family input is being actively sought and acted upon. We hope ownership recognizes and values their talented, hardworking leadership/staff and will provide necessary resources to ensure all aspects of care at Westport are increasingly high quality.

Clean room & cheerful employees B 326.cna Kay was cheerful and helpful October 7, 2024 I did visit my friend in room 118, the room was clean free from odors. I met nurse Ashley and a CNA also named Ashley, both were gentle with my friend, checking on her to see if she need personal care. The CNA noticed my friend needed her dry lips taken care of, she got a product used at this facility. The attitude from the staff was caring & respectful,.

A family member has been at Westport for a couple of months. When I first came to the facility to complete the admissions paperwork the facility was bright and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The care she has received has been very good and staff have worked with her and involved her in the fashion show they did and helped her to feel good about herself. This facility is much cleaner than other facilities I have been to and the staff and doctors go beyond. Thanks for making this a very positive experience.

Staff members are very nice and my mother in law loves it here and they treat her so well Felicia goes above and beyond for her. We are always greeted when we get there and all the staff members have a good attitude and are so friendly. This is definitely the cleanest facility I have seen and the cleaning crew does a great job. My names is Ronald Staples and I spent the last 3 months at Westport. First time ever being in re-hab and it was the best experience that I did not expect. The entire staff was the most pleasant and helpful and made my stay remarkable. I would recommend this facility for anybody seeking rehab. My stay at this facility was almost perfect. Everybody has their ups and downs and every individual case is different I realize this. I don't want to leave anyone out but have to acknowledge five individuals that I dealt with every day and think the world of. Wendy Wallace (unit manager) was superb getting me ready for discharge. Tangie Hawthorne and Marcie Vaughan (lpn) cared for me like family. They always made me feel they cared about what they were doing. Karin Mans (pt) was a real advocate on my behalf . She was born for this position with her attitude and mannerism and knowledge. Micah Peppers (ot) challenged me to do my best and was always so pleasant
