Rayna and her staff are amazing. I recently moved my mother in and everyone has bent over backwards to make sure that her transition has been smooth. From nursing to dietary and maintenance, everyone has been very helpful with mom's needs. I look forward to visiting mom and getting to know the staff better. Food looked and smelled delicious. I hope to share a meal with mom soon. Thanks again Charter Senior Living.

So… 2 years ago my father was here and passed and then the following year my grandmother was here for the last few months of her life. I can't say enough good things about everyone there. They were beyond accommodating to say the least. I stayed every single night with my grandmother until her passing. That is not a lie either. I came to know the workers and residents and it was like a "little family" there. I think about some of the residents often and it's great to see their faces in the pictures on Facebook. My grandmother was pretty much bed ridden, had a different bath/meal time then the other residents and every worker made sure she was comfortable while I was at work until I could get there at 4 p.m. There's quite a few workers there to name them all but I have to give an extremely big thank you to Neisha, Leah, Maggie, Kathryn, Cindy, Renae and especially Rayna. I hope you're all doing well and cannot thank everyone at Dominion enough. You will all be forever in my heart and debt. Tell Leroy and Theo to behave now. ‚. I miss those two guys.

When I say a great place for the elders, it is a great place.Anytime it was time for my mom to go and stay there for a few weeks when I had to go out to sea, she truly enjoyed it. It wasnt a pushy sales person like other places Ive called. They answered all my questions and took their time. To make it even better they are dropping off a goodie bag to me! My father passed away recently and the staff here could not have been any more accommodating! My father was a challenge to say the least but the team of people they have working there worked so hard to keep him safe and well cared for. Even with all the new restrictions and stress I know they were under. None of them ever let it show. They took care of him up until the very end just as if he was their family. Their professionalism and loving care will always be remembered. Our family can not thank the entire staff enough for all they did for us.

I moved my father in law in almost a month ago and my family and I couldnt be happier. The staff are attentive and really try hard to go above and beyond. I stop in at different times of the day and the other evening when I came in I was pleasantly surprised to see one of the girls in the room with him singing songs. They were having a good time and it made me happy to see dad with such a big smile. The whole team here really care about the people that live there. I cant say it enough how much that meant to me to see his smile.

Came to Poquoson today to visit my aunt at Dominion Village. We had just finished lunch down the street and was only planning a quick visit. Well my aunt talked me into staying for dinner. One of the nurses overheard me telling her I didnt want to intrude and to my surprise the nurse stuck her head in the door and invited me to stay and convinced me it would be no trouble. I couldnt say no at that point. I sat with my aunt and had a remarkable dinner! She told me the cooks name was Bill and that she really liked him. If he can cook like that I like him too! I had to rush out after we ate since I wasnt planning on staying but I enjoyed my visit and the unexpected meal. Thank you to the nurse that let me know it was ok and to Bill for the awesome grub! And thank you to all that are there taking care of my aunt. She is happy and well cared for. Looking forward to my next visit in a few months.

During these crazy Covid times. I know we have all missed our loved ones that are in facilities. I have to say that Dominion Village in Poquoson have been FANTASTIC about keeping us informed with any and all updates. Vicky the director of nursing calls me weekly just to let me know they are all doing great. I got to visit with my uncle last week and you can tell they are doing everything to keep everyone safe! Keeping social distancing and masks and hand sanitizer. Their positive outlooks were so encouraging and made us feel so much better. My uncle looked great! That also helped ease our minds as well. Thank you so much to Reina and her team for all they are doing every single day to help keep our loved ones safe! Looking forward to seeing you next week for my visit!

Ive worked with Raina, the Executive Director for almost 6 years. My company provides health care for some of her residents at Dominion Village. I love that Raina is 150% committed to her company, her building, her residents and their families and anyone who she comes in contact with. Calling on her professionally is always a joy; she is present. She is available and can be seen all over the facility filling whatever needs there might be. I love working with Raina, and cant imagine Dominion Village without her caring leadership!

She has the most important role at legacy which is being the FIRST individual the resident and family interact with before they move in. Deanna does so much for the residents and family AND staff, from the scheduling, to the meetings, to the room set up and so on.

Senior Star Assisted Living hires some of the best nurses. It is comforting to have Nurse Laura caring for Dad. She literally cares for Dad head to toe - Laura discovered the melanoma on the bottom of Dad’s foot and encouraged him to seek medical attention. Within weeks, the cancer was removed. Nurse Laura assisted the Visiting Nurse with Dad’s wound care. She patiently explained the process for the graft to heal to me, which eased my concerns. We’ve checked into closer Senior Star facilities, but Dad is so happy with the care from Nurse Laura at Elmore Place; we’ll be traveling the 6 hours to see Dad where he is happiest.

Love this community. My family member moved in over a year ago and Raina has been with us every single step of the way. Its reassuring that I can call her at any time and she is there and willing to help. I visit frequently and it's not uncommon to see Raina working in her office late, working as the nurse, cooking and even working as a nurses aide. She is loved by all the residents and their families and truly makes a difference in their lives. A sincere thank you to Raina and the entire team there. Each of you will never know what an impact each of you have made.

I had 2 family members here and both had great experiences. Each time we truly felt like we were a part of a huge family. I still go up and visit with other residents and it still feels like family. The staff welcome me when I come in. It's always a pleasure to visit and feel like I'm still visiting home. We have been EXTREMELY pleased and thankful for the level of care and attention that they have given to my mother. Our mom is 88 years old and we thought it would be a very difficult transition into assisted living however she has absolutely loved it. The staff have made her feel right at home. The conditions are very nice and comfortable. I could not say a single bad thing about Dominion Village. I would like to sincerely thank the staff (Raina and Cindy) and the incredible nursing staff are second to none! The dining and food director (Gwen)-staff have been so accommodating and caring. The activities director Renee, is fabulous, My mom LOVES BINGO! as well as the many other fun activities. Its more like a family at Dominion, Its a home away from home! A special thank you to Lucy, You have been more than a great nurse, you have shown extreme kindness to our Mom! We can not express in words what that has meant to our family. After touring 6 facilities we settled on Voorhees Senior Living for our Mother. The building is clean and well maintained with a light airy dining room and very good, substantial meals served in a homey, relaxed atmosphere. Activities are plentiful, diverse and well attended. The Physical and Occupational therapists are aces and the staff, including the administrators, are pleasant, caring and welcoming. Many of them go Above and beyond to make sure that Mom is comfortable and engaged. There were a few bumps along the road but we were able to work together to resolve issues. We are now 8 months into this phase of our lives and still satisfied that we chose Voorhees Senior Living. Most importantly, Mom is thriving.

I was asked to leave a review. My grandma is on the assisted living side. I usually come on the weekends and have lunch or dinner with her. The food is awesome and they are always offering seconds. Reminds me of when I would visit my grandma at home and we couldnt leave unless we ate something! When I bring my fiance with me they even set us up at our own table. My grandma loves it there and speaks highly of all her friends there. She loves "her girls" as she calls the staff.

My aunt lives there now and I must say, I have had other family members who have lived in other homes but this place is by far the best. It is like an actual home where the people know us by name. They always seem to have games going on or a party to go to. It is clean, the nursing staff are always quick to help, and the food is delicious. I would 100% recommend Dominion Village compared to other homes in the Hampton Roads area.

My mom has lived at Dominion Village Poquoson for the last 6 years. She recently declined and had to go to the hospital for pneumonia and then rehab. She was away from Dominion for a few weeks and I cannot tell folks enough how happy we were to get her back. The staff at Dominion Village know her and have done everything they can to make her feel back at home. She is receiving physical therapy there now and is getting better. I am thankful for each and every one working there!!
