We moved here a year ago after a two year search for a CCRC they met our needs. We love it here and congratulate ourselves regularly on moving from Florida to the Edge. The place is beautiful, the staff and services are wonderful, the food is great, needed services are readily available, the views are amazing, the residents are welcoming, and, to address a few of the reviews, there is lots of parking for residents. I even walk to some doctor appointments and we love the light rail that stops in our backyard.. We couldn't be happier.

We moved to Harbor's Edge in July 2021 and could not be happier. The amenities are excellent, and the staff is nonpareil. Our community consists of an eclectic group of highly successful and social citizens. Norfolk offers excellent opportunities for myriad activities including sports and the arts. As a retired military member, the access to DOD facilities is a plus for us. My advice for anyone considering moving to a community like Harbor's Edge, "Sooner is better than later!"

Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Food is healthy and tasty with many choices. The location near hospitals, light rail, museums, walking/biking trails and downtown is ideal.

We love living here. Moved in in August 2021 when our 130 year old Victorian house nearby became too much of a burden. Whitney Gwaltney in the Marketing Department was above expectations, introducing 4 couples to each other and we, "The Great Eight", remain wonderful friends. The views from just about any unit are spectacular, the Historic Ghent, Downtown Norfolk, the Elizabeth River, the Portsmouth Regional Medical Center, or the vast "Largest Natural Harbor in the World," the piers, and the Navy Base. The food is chef prepared and first class. There is considerable attention to nutrition. But the biggest pleasant surprise has been the outstanding socialization. Neighbors from successful careers in all walks of life have been a delight to get to know. It is a privilege, and indeed a blessing, to live here.

Loved the facility and most staff I encountered but the lady at the front counter was rude and condescending. A facility of this caliber should think about hiring a person with a positive friendly attitude to be the first person residents and family and friend of residents experience at the facility.

Harbor's Edge is the most luxurious community in Norfolk Virginia. Multiple restaurants, movie theaters and activities to enjoy. Easily has the best views in the city.

If you are rehabbing from a serious surgery, this is the place to be! Their Physical Therapy Division is at the very top of the scale for education, equipment and the professional level of working with one to reach their goals are outstanding ! The nursing and support staff are the happiest teams I've encountered. The environment and all staff ensures you that you are special to them as you recover.

This facility is a hidden gem if I ever saw one! The facility meets multiple care needs fro assisted living to Physical therapy etc it is so clean, offers so many amenities, the staff make MY BEST LIST" I can not complain about any of my experiences with them and support staff. The PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY FAR EXCEEDS ALL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO OR HEARD OF. A great deal of professional and expert planning and updated measures have and go into Harbors Edge! Thanks to everyone there.

The residents are very interesting and have a wealth of knowledge to offer if you are willing to listen. The staff are a very kind group of individuals from nursing,physical therapists, housekeeping and security. Our security is top notch with retired veterans who are always on point 24 hours a day. I am giving the facilities administration and human resources department the low scores. They give the patients false beliefs of corner rooms overlooking the water when they may or may not have. They will provide a table cloth and wine glasses set up in the room for that special patient who they want to impress. They don't perform this task for everyone which is not fair. Administration is out of touch in that they have housekeepers dressed up like the staff from the movie The Help which is degrading to these professionals. Nurses & CNA's are short staffed and work very hard at what they do. Administration need to get with the times and get personal with the staff instead of sowing seeds of discord.

This is a beautiful place located on the harbor. I have previously worked at this community and it was nothing but a fabulous time. Not only are the residents nice, but they are fun and energetic to be around. They are very involved with each other and enjoy planning events throughout the year. Residents and employees have a great relationship.
