I was at the Harmony at Springs Retirement home singing and everyone there was so kind.

The facilities are new, bright, and clean. Mom reports the food is very good and nicely served. The admin staff, cleaning staff, and nursing staff are all very friendly. It was a challenge for a couple months getting billing and payments to be correct and timely, but seems to have finally been straightened out.

We have had an excellent experience all around. The food is delicious, the staff are amazing and they truly treat you like family when you come to visit. Our family could not be happier at Harmony of Spring Hill.

I have had some nightmare experiences with assisted living homes since I was thrown into the role of helping my Grandmother. We have been to 6 places in the last 5 years. Finally settling on Harmony at Spring hills because it’s 3 minutes from my home, it’s clean, I was able to see My Grandma through COVID (with restrictions) and the staff seemed nice. Fast forward 9 months and my grandmother hates the food, her bill was all over the place and I was not getting answers from Nancy. Unfortunately Martin ended up being the one that got the hot end of the stick so to say. Not only did he tell me he would personally look into the issue, but he followed up with me about it. A new chef was hired and apparently the food has gotten much better. Martin has renewed my faith that I made the right choice for my Grandmother. I am still blown away by the insane amounts of money these places charge to take care of our loved ones. If it wasn’t for Matt, Martin and Fatima I would have moved my Grandmother again. Martin you are a gem and I can not thank you enough for being willing to go above and beyond to help and care for not only my grandmother but others peoples as well. I definitely recommend Harmony at Spring Hills. One of the few honest, and caring places we have been.

Harmony at Spring Hill is in a beautiful, gated community next to the new urban Liberty village in Lorton where the Lidl will soon be opening. As soon as you enter the facility, you are warmly greeted by friendly staff. The assisted living facility is clean, modern and nicely decorated which makes for a comfortable experience. Residents stay active while enjoying many weekly activities and live entertainment. Nursing and caregivers are attentive and provide personalized care to each resident. Rehabilitation services are provided onsite. The dining room receives rave reviews for their delicious meals and desserts. Harmony at Spring Hill is a place where you can meet nice, friendly people and feel at home!

My husband in the few months he was there had a fracture of his pelvis because he was able to escape from the memory care Unit where he was supposed to be under the care of the nurses, aids and people monitoring the supposed secure doors of the memory care department. Due to this he had a fall. He was given 1 X-ray and when it showed nothing that day due to swelling he was denied a second X-ray until his family insisted at which time a severe pelvic fracture was found. By the time the second x-ray was FINALLY done, my husband was in such pain and could not stand or bear weight. A man who was a happy man, who could walk without any assistive devices and could still participate in his own care, had not lost the ability to do most of it. After that he went downhill - developed bedsores because he was not being turned and cleaned from incontinence or bathed frequently. Can you imagine your loved one sitting in their own soiled brief for extreme long periods of time? How bout coming into visit your loved one only to see him slumped over with his head on the table and no one interacting with him? To see your loved one, in my case the love of my life for 40years being treated like he was not a person but a burden. The director of the community as well of the wellness director really not having a concern in the world for the man I love. Their only concern was how do we get this man out of our community that we harmed before we get in trouble. When questioned about this we were told that “the aids didn’t want to disturb him because he was sleeping He was falling constantly and instead of being picked up and looked over was instead immediately sent by ambulance to a nearby healthplex Some of these visits were scrapes which would bleed but have no damage to his body. We were told by the person in charge that we should be hiring “ sitters” to stay in his room to monitor him Please let that sink in- family is paying monthly to have him cared for but because it is inconvenient for the employees to do that- they want outside “sitters” to do it for them When it became clear that his care was too much for this facility to handle we were given 5 days to find a new place to move him. The Executive Director did not even schedule a meeting with us to discuss this, she just came outside with a binder and dropped it in front of us while I and some family were visiting my husband outside. By this point his wounds required a wound doctors attention and care. Wounds that were received by the lack of care provided by the facility. I was unaware of how bad they were until I asked for them to assist in showing me. I was so disillusioned and distraught when I saw how things were being run I was initially a cheerleader for Harmony The facility is beautiful and a lot of the employees are wonderful and truly care about the people But there is another side that you only see after being a part of it for awhile I was so trusting of the caretakers initially When all was said and done it was like a sad story with a bad ending My husband passed not long after as they sent him out to the hospital the same day they told us to look for another facility due to a medical emergency. They waited until we left to go look at other communities when they sent him out to the hospital. I know the state of Virginia has been notified and I am told an investigation is ongoing I do not know if that is a fact because we were out of there before that supposedly started I know they are short staffed and I hope they are doing their best but that was not the case with my husband He had many visitors coming and going and there were comments being made as things got worse I adored so many of the residents in there and miss seeing them This is a story I never thought I would have to tell Please spend time with your family and keep them safe I do not blame every employee there and I loved so many of them. My husband loved so many of the people there and I am glad he was able to enjoy activities with them before his health worsened. I miss my husband terribly! Stay Safe!

I have become well-acquainted with the staff during my recent weekly visits to this beautiful community and find all team members to be welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and kind. The beautiful gated-community makes for a secure location and the building itself is tastefully modern, comfortable and incredibly clean. This hidden gem and the wonderful people who reside and work there are definitely worth getting to know.

I had the best experience at Harmony for my mom. The people were great and friendly and helped us every step of way. She made friends quickly with all the staff and I just want to thank them for taking such good care of her. She had to move on due to her health but we will miss them so much! And I just thank them for making her feel loved. You have no idea how relieved I felt to find a place that truly cares for the people they take care of!

Harmony at Spring Hill has been taking care of my grandma for a couple of years now and I can honestly say they are amazing. The gated community is immaculate and bright with a comfortable, homey feel for the residents. The staff is there for the long haul and you get to know them over time. They couldnt possibly be any friendlier and they genuinely enjoy taking care of your family member. The activities programming is outstanding - between art projects, music recitals, special themed family dinners, and of course BINGO 😉 my grandma stays sharp and we have so many things to talk about when I come to visit. The food is quite good as well! Ive occassionally joined her for a meal and Ive been very impressed with the quality of the rotating menu. Small details are not missed. A fresh flower and clean tablecloth await you at every table in the luxurious dining room. The sales staff are so friendly and will answer any question you may have regarding your loved one joining this amazing community. They are not just there to sign you up - they interact with the current residents and they frequently know just the right buddy to help each new resident get aquainted and feel at ease. They do not apply any high-pressure sales tactics here. The staff will happily provide all the necessary information to make sure your decision is well-informed and at your own pace. I visit my grandma frequently and Im writing this review from the perspective of my own direct observations and my interactions with her. Im so happy she is being well-cared for there and I hope you will consider Harmony at Spring Hill if the need should ever arise for your own family. Sincerely, Dennis
