My husband has been a resident of this facility going onto his fourth year. It's been a long road just to get here, much less the slow walk home. That said I want to spotlight the anchor of this facility: Sima Godard. There are others with more administrative duties but there isn't anyone who will ensure that no only are the Residents needs met, but the care she extends to each family member is a blessing. The time helping a Loved One complete their life journey is overwhelming but there isn't a request, a concern, a worry that Sima doesn't make every attempt to resolve and most times she's successful! She is the first face you see when you enter the facility and often the last one. It seems to be her life's calling to help all she can and she does this with grace, charm and an endless amount of empathy. Four years is a long time to be here. I remain grateful for the continued kindness and care Sima extends not just to me, my family members, but to every family member of the Residents here that are lucky enough to interact with her.

Our mom lived at Lansdowne for the better part of a year before transitioning to another facility. It's well maintained, the next meal cooking in the kitchen always smells good, and a staff member is never far. It's a good fit for those who thrive in group activities. The central common area always has a full daily schedule and is busy with residents and staff. Quieter folks may end up keeping more to their individual rooms as our mom did, although the right event would still draw her out. A concert from a visiting string quartet was a favorite, for instance, and she loved the therapy dogs. Everyone we met demonstrated unfailing kindness. Sima, Christiane and Elise especially went above and beyond the duties of the front desk. They took the time to connect with us and empathize as we learned how to deal with mom's memory loss. Their kindness and compassion meant so much to us.

Lea took good care of me when I suddenly had to face the fact of placing my husband in a home so he would be safe. Lansdowne Heights is amazing. His room has his own furniture and feels like home. My husband loves all the entertainment and outings. The staff knows everyone’s name. They truly care about their residents. Thanks Lea for your help and support. Our youngest sister has been a resident at Lansdown Heights for over a year and a half. She presents herself with not only as ID, seizure maintained through medication and early on-set Dementia. Challenging at best. We are extremely pleased with all the Directors, nurses and aides over these 20 months as they are always willing to shift plans, when needed for her. She receives love, medication in a timely manner and most of all she is safe. From the time you enter and while there visiting we always feel welcomed.

We are very satisfied with the care and support provided by Lansdowne Heights Memory Care for my mother. They have consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality care, which has been reassuring for our family. The transition of a loved one with Alzheimer's from home to a memory care facility can be a difficult process for families. However, Lansdowne Heights has been able to facilitate this transition smoothly. Their staff members have shown empathy and understanding, making us feel more at ease with our decision. The caregivers at Lansdowne Heights have been attentive and professional in their approach. They have created a nurturing environment that prioritizes the safety, comfort, and dignity of their residents. The facility itself is well-maintained, providing a familiar and welcoming atmosphere for individuals with memory impairments. While we are overall satisfied with the care provided, we believe there is room for improvement in terms of setting up channels of communication with some family members who live out-of-state. Her out-of-state siblings, would appreciate more efficient channels of communication and to collaborate on ways to use technology to make it easy to schedule calls and/or connect with my mother. This would enable us to stay connected to her. However, Lansdowne Heights does do a good job of keeping our family informed about what's happening at the facility and my mother's progress. In conclusion, Lansdowne Heights Memory Care has been a positive experience for our family. We appreciate the dedication, compassion, and expertise of the staff, which have had a positive impact on our mother's well-being and quality of life. Bottom line: GOLD STANDARD in memory care. I moved my sister out of an awful negligent memory care after comprehensively researching, touring and interviewing AGAIN to find the right match. Hands down the best fit for her and our family. The building design is built for memory care “ ample walking halls that loop, residents are seen and not hidden away from staff. The security within the building is great and yet allows for an inner outdoor space for the residents to visit unaccompanied. The rooms are spacious yet easy to navigate and map for your loved one. As a family member visiting “ I have great experiences with the staff assisting and tailoring their approach to my sister. As with memory diseases, it’s ground hog day everyday yet the staff recognize it’s the resident’s world they are living in and they adapt the situation around that mindset. Justin, administrator, is a great communicator “ by FAR the BEST I’ve dealt with; easily and quickly responds to emails, conducts bimonthly zoom calls for updates and listens to each family making every effort to personalize their experience. LOOK NO further “ I have confidence in LH and have entrusted my sister’s care to them. I sleep well at night. Memory care industry can be a tough one to navigate with disappointing outcomes “ but not LH!

Lansdowne Heights has helped our family through a very difficult season with our dad. We are so thankful they came alongside our family and assisted us with a difficult transition for our dad into a needed residential memory care facility. My dads dementia is not a super common type but LH has been willing to make accommodations for him and they view every residents case individually. They truly make us feel that they are honored and thank us for allowing them to care for our dad which is such a relief because we knew we were out of our depth and that we didn’t have the resources to properly care for him. The facility is very nice and the staff is AMAZING!!! Justin, Mariam, Bianca, Assi, Nina - to name a few. Justin is running a top notch facility and always looking for ways to improve. I can’t say enough good things about Lansdowne Heights. I can’t say enough good things about the incredibly compassionate care my Mom received at Landsdowne before succumbing to dementia. The entire staff’s efforts to make my Mom happy, engaged, and comfortable were extraordinary. This high level of care and kindness extended to our family as the staff supported us during the immensely stressful final months of her life. The communication between the staff and our family was excellent. With the help of the nursing staff, my family was able to reach my Mom at any time to talk or FaceTime. We have been lucky to have our parents be the first residents at LH. It’s a beautiful facility and the staff is really great. It looks like an assisted living facility but all memory care. When we were looking at other places. We saw that the assisted living doors were very beautiful but then we would tour the memory care floor and it was institutional. That is not the case as LH. My parents room was decorated by me and we brought some of their furniture in and purchased some new with the Ambassador Family move in credit. Their room is beautiful and large. The bathroom is very upscale and also does not look institutional. My parents look better, seem better and are being stimulated every day with activities and staff visits. The move in coordinator even polished my moms nails one day and they looked great. My mom loved it too. With the pandemic going on, the administration and staff had a protocol which worked very well to keep everyone safe and COVID free. Although we can’t visit in our parents room since other families have moved in, we were visiting on the patio or window visits. Now we can visit in the conference room in the lobby which keeps everyone safe. The staff is so accommodating and seem to love their jobs. They wait on my parents hand and foot. The food and menu is prepared by the executive chef and looks like restaurant food. He also does cooking demos with the residents. All in all it’s been a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. I feel as though my parents are safer there than any place else as they were the only residents for 2 weeks when they moved in and were put in one wing to quarantine and then when they were clear, they move to their permanent room in the other wing. I would say NOW is the perfect time to move in as they are doing rolling admissions and new residents can be quarantined and then free to interact with other Covid free residents once the 2 weeks are up.

We moved both my parents into LHMC about 2 months ago and it has been amazing. The facility was brand new and they were the first 2 residents and were treated like royalty. Great to know they are safe and happy and being MORE THAN well taken care of. They are both in much better health, both physically and mentally. The staff is courteous and professional and the amenities are great. Cafeteria, spa, salon, etc. They have also taken stringent COVID precautions for both the staff and residents. In short, my parents are doing much better than we ever expected after moving them out of their house and into a memory care facility like LH.

It was a difficult and emotional decision for us to move my father-in-law into a memory care residence, especially in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. We cared for him for years, but it eventually became clear that he needed the support of professional caregivers and a community of his peers. The staff at Lansdowne Heights welcomed Dad with open arms. They have a solid plan on how to bring someone safely into the residence and a dedicated move in coordinator to make it happen with ease. We were introduced to every member of the staff and each genuinely seems interested in Dad and our family. We get the sense that the staff enjoy their jobs and take great pride in treating the residents with the respect, attention, and kindness that they deserve. Nurse Davis and the caregivers that work with her are extremely responsive, informative, and great at keeping us abreast of Dad’s victories and challenges. The facility is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food is appetizing and nutritious. We didn’t know how Dad would take to the new environment, but the residents embraced him and the staff keeps him engaged. Dad is playing cards, games, singing, and walking around a lot. We were told that he even occasionally makes his way into the business manger’s office to watch her work and she is gracious enough to let him visit. Dad seems more social than ever, and we are able to rest better knowing that he is in caring hands. We definitely recommend that you consider Lansdowne Heights if your loved one is looking for a new community.
