We had such a wonderful time with our mother at Ashleigh's Winter Holiday party on December 11, 2019. We thought we were going to have to park a little ways away because we knew there would be a lot of people coming to this, and to our surprise we were met with valet's to park our car. That was the beginning of a magical night. We walked into the building and were met with many people welcoming us and cocktails to start. The dining room was gorgeous with beautiful flower arrangements on every table and harp music playing. The best part of the night though was the glorious food that was prepared by the Chef and all his very hard working staff. The creations of food and the display were by far the best I have ever experienced in all my years. Thank you so much for the experience and for making my mother's days so joyous! Happy Holidays to you all!

October 2019, will be 2-years since Dad moved to Ashleigh at Lansdowne. Dad has really come to feel like Ashleigh is home to him. He feels like the staff really care about him. As management and personnel changes happen (like any company does), we've continued to engage every member of the staff that provide Dad his assisted living care. That includes dining room staff (wait staff to chefs), nursing care, physical therapy, maintenance, housekeeping and executive management. We live 15 minutes away and we are always engaging with them. Any issues that have come up, we talk to them immediately and resolve them quickly. They listen, I mean really listen, to what we want for Dad's care and understand that we feel like we're truly a team working for Dad and wanting him to be happy and as healthy as possible. Dad has type 2 diabetes and we manage his diabetes through diet and medication. We've made sure all the dining room staff know to provide sugar-free desserts (Dad has a sweet tooth) and make sure he has nutritional meals. Throughout this past year, Dad has had some dental work done and now he really seems to be enjoying eating, which is great considering when he first moved to VA in 2015, and then moved to Ashleigh from the other facility in Ashburn, Dad had lost 60 pounds. He was depressed and didn't find pleasure in eating. That's all changed. He has made friends with his nurses, wait staff and others that care for him. One of the best things, is that one of the wait staff who takes care of Dad's meals, liked Dad's name so much that he named his new son after my Dad. That's really nice and it means a lot to Dad. We're super happy we found Ashleigh and consider their care to have set the bar for our future family's move to Florida. Now when we look for places for Dad in Florida, we compare everything to Ashleigh. We just wish they had an Ashleigh when we will be moving in Florida in a year or two.

Ashleigh works hard to maintain a high quality of care. My mother is in memory care and quite frail. She is very well cared for and I do not have to worry. Every time I visit my mother, she is clean, well-groomed, has been given medication. She is kept pain free. They provide activities and entertainment appropriate for people with dementia and who are not ambulatory.

When I spoke to him I realised that he genuinely had a strong passion for his job. We moved Dad to Ashleigh from another facility in Ashburn. A number of things had happened at the other place that made us concerned for a variety of reasons. We're so happy we found Ashleigh! From the minute we looked at Ashleigh we knew this was the place where Dad would feel more at home. His apartment is basically the same space wise as his last place, but the quality of the meals and staff attitude far exceed where he was before. Ashleigh is also a month to month rent versus paying a substantial entrance deposit. Dad participates in a few activities now and we're so happy for him and for the peace of mind it brings us.

Not only am I an employee, how I got the job was that my Mother was living there and I had to start looking for a job. I didn't want to be to far away from her and it was hard finding one near by. I asked when I hear that there was an opening if they allowed residents family to work there? To my astonishment they said yes. So it was a great relief to know that I would still be close to my Mom and yet be able to work with such a wonderful staff. When my Mom passed away, just being around everyone who cared for her and that I worked with was such a comfort to me. Great place to work and to have my love ones be.

She was our (amazing) first impression, and each interaction with staff has followed a similar pattern. The entire staff really works with us to provide care that is congruent with our relative's individual needs. And the residents really embrace you as family as well.

This facility was just opened in 2017 in Loudoun County. It is a beautiful Assisted Living with large hallways. The rooms are spacious and lovely. Staff are very friendly and professional. They have a great dining room with an outstanding Chef. Highly Recommended.

I am beyond impressed with Ashleigh at Lansdowne. The asthetics of the community are absolutely beautiful, in fact, the classist I have seen. In addition, the staff are absolutely wonderful. As a nurse myself, I am super impressed to know that Ashleigh at Lansdowne has nurses on-site 24/7, very unique for an Independent Living and Assisted Living Community. Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
