My mom has been living at Brighter Living 3 years. She was started in Assisted Living and later to Memory Care. We appreciated that they tried her in A.L.. It gave her a chance to get to know many other residents and staff. We have gotten to know most of the people and areas at Brighter Living. The smiles, laughter and attention to detail make it a very good place. It would be hard to find a more joyful, "aiming to please", kitchen staff. Of course, like anything issues and questions pop up. I so appreciate the management and care givers with their calm, reassuring attitude. When a loved one is in a facility, having people that care and immediately work to fix the problem makes all the difference. I enjoy walking through Brighter Living with my mom and her friends. It's fun to see how she responds to the staff and all the attention given to the residents. The activities at B.L. are fun and varied. They are constantly doing new things. They take frequent local trips around the area. The music, entertainment, and church services offered make it a special place too. Ron and I volunteer there several times a week. We help people get to activities as well as enjoy heading up a few of them too. We have fun with the residents doing so many things some are bowling, playing putt-putt, putting large (and small piece) puzzles together, painting, axe throwing (velcro) and of course those long slow walks and chats outside. We gave 4 stars only hoping to encourage getting some type of permanent partial roof to the outside patio so it can be enjoyed more. The roof and sitting area in the front are nice but the patio in the center is large and beautiful. It would be more comfortable with some permanent shade for the residents.

Working in Healthcare for 30yrs I am always very pleased when I'm in the facility. It's is always clean and staff are friendly. Have had many friends that have lived here or had their relatives here and always hear positive responses. Thank you for all you do!!

We recently called and spoke with Mrs. Broughton about this facility as we have been searching for the perfect fit for our family member. She was able to answer all of questions as well as go over different things we hadn't thought about. We are looking forward to our family member being a part of the community in the near future. You can tell they truly care about the residents as well as the employees.

Very clean and the staff seems to change a lot but everyone seems nice. My sister has been in different facilities over the last 8 years and this by FAR is my favorite.

When you have brought hospice in to care for a patient, is it mandatory to keep their loved ones from seeing them completely? Just curious if the goal is to keep the dying patient from possibly catching covid or to keep the family from catching covid? From my understanding, the family is allowed to see their loved one when it's right at the end and the patient has lost almost all function. So it seems that the goal is to continue isolating the patient/loved one so that they dont catch covid in their final days. It just seems really sadistic and I would love for someone to clear this issue up for me a bit.

I have visited the facility and found the staff to be very nice and the residents well looked after. I feel good enough to suggest Brighter Living to a close friend as he is making decisions for his mother, who need 24 hour care. They will work with your income level and do the best they can to make what is one of most difficult decisions of your life a bit easier. [DISCLAIMER: I work for the management company but have not been asked to write this review. I did this because I believe this to be a top notch facility.]

Throughout my healthcare career I have always wanted to work at Brighter Living and now I do. All healthcare facilities have their ups and downs but Brighter Living is on its way up and we are going to continue to strive for the best for our residents, families as well as our staff. We are becoming Brighter every day.

My mom lived at Brighter Living 3 1/2 years. She passed this past Thursday. So very thankful Karen was there to help us through this time. Loved the ladies who took such good care of my mom during her last days. ROMA, JO,KIM JANET, And their subs. My mom loved living there, it was her home. Yes, we had our issues but they were addressed in a timely manor.

MY MOM ALMA BARKMAN IS A NEW RESIDENT THERE.SHE LOVES HER ROOM.ALSO THE FOOD SHE SAYS IS DELICIOUS.SHE HAS MET SOME NICE PEOPLE THERE. AM GLAD SHE ENJOYS THE ACTIVIES ALSO. SHE LOVES GETTINNGHER HAIR AND NAILS DONE MAKES HER FEEL BETTER.SHE HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE.SHE LIKES THE CARE THE STAFF GIVES.
