Went to tour the property and it was really nice. Jordan showed us around and introduced us to some of the staff and residents. Seemed to know everyone and vice versa. Helped us get the info we needed and ideas on how to move forward. If you're looking for a place to retire to, have her show you this place. You won't regret it.

Writing as the son of residents. See below for summary of pros/cons: Pros: - Clean facility with healthy food and nice servers (it has a restaurant feel to it with options for room delivery) - New, beautiful building - Lots of activities for the residents (games, guest entertainment, learning opportunities, some excursions, crafts, etc.) - Most staff are caring and helpful. - Good community-feel to the place with residents interacting a fair amount - Transport service is helpful with doctor appointments - Close to a hospital and other doctors - Nurse staff keep you aware of concerns they have - medication management is helpful Cons: - The Wellington is associated with a general practitioners office that is a total scam. RNs from the service visit residents regularly but do almost no evaluation or communication with the resident or family. On many occasions the RNs never even physically touched my parents - they literally stand at the door, ask a few questions over a minute or two, then bill insurance $300 and you a co-pay on a regular basis. We've never even actually seen the doctor. I found a mobile GP to replace the Wellington's doctor service, who is wonderful. You need to be aware if you're looking for in-room doctor care, you really need to find a doctor of your own (don't use the Wellington's). - Financials: If you are late on a payment (accidents happen from time to time) the Wellington Executive will be very quick to reach out and promptly reply to emails and phone calls. If you have any other form of question that you would like help with, forget about it. You will not get a reply, return call, nothing. Question about an invoice - nobody will get back to you. You will need to physically go there. Even then, good luck. - You pay a lot for care but have to, at times, force them to provide the proper care. They do the basics well, but if your parent needs something more time consuming like a bath, or assistance with a medical issue that is somewhat time consuming, it doesn't seem to get done without pushing regularly. - The staff who care for the residents are kind but seem stretched thin, therefore, they get in and out quickly. - If there is a room maintenance issue, it will be a journey to get help. I think there is one guy for the whole place so you need to ask, and ask, and ask. It will eventually get done, but be prepared to get deeply involved with maintenance help tickets. All-in-all, my parents are far better off here than at their home and relatively content - even happy with the friendships they are forming. They get checked on regularly, and their basic needs are consistently met. I give 3 stars because, considering the price, I'd hope for better customer service, adherence to the services you pay many thousands a month for without pushing, and would hope their in-house GP contract would have some value. The Wellington is worth considering but know you will need to be regularly involved and customer service will be a challenge.

The residents appeared to be very happy. The signature programs are amazing and are appreciated by the participants. Residents were moved into their brand new apartments including a red carpet just to add the special touch.

My parents moved from another facility to Wellington and what a difference! It's clean and well-run with plenty of friendly, helpful staff, lots of activities, and good food. Communication with families is excellent and issues are addressed quickly. The wellness staff are excellent and very responsive. My parents love it and are much happier and healthier! Inspiritas is a well-managed facility at The Wellington. Clara overseas an amazing team of 9 attendants who are really trained to work with people who have memory issues. They're compassionate, caring, happy people who truly love what they do and care about those they care for. My mom was bedridden when she arrived and physical therapy had given up on her. Clara and her team brought her back to life! They got her out of the bed, showering, walking, and enjoying life with the Inspiritas community. We visit at lunchtime and they serve us delicious food with a smile. I thank God for these angels every day who have literally changed my Mom's life 🙂
