Spring Oak Assisted Living has done an incredible job with their remodel. The updates have completely transformed the space”it feels bright, modern, welcoming, and truly like home. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating a comfortable environment for the residents. What really makes Spring Oak stand out, though, is the administrator, Sarah,and the rest of the staff. Everyone is kind, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the residents. This Assisted Living Facility is absolutely beautiful, especially after its recent renovation. It has such a bright, welcoming environment that truly feels like home. The recent remodel has completely transformed this community! It's obvious that a great deal if thought has gone into creating a space where residents can enjoy both comfort and quality of life. From the moment you walk into Spring Oak Christiansburg you can tell the staff truly care about their residents. Everyone is warm welcoming and takes the time to get to know each resident as an individual. Administration is approachable, compassionate and always willing to hear questions or concerns. This team is genuinely compassionate!

The recent family reunion event was wonderful! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they really care about their residents. They are attentive to their residents needs and everyone that I have met seems to genuinely enjoy being there. I would trust them to take care of my family.

This facility is absolutely amazing! I recently attended their family reunion event where they demonstrated all of the changes and it truly was a wonderful day. The staff work incredibly hard to make their residents feel at home, safe and protected. I visit weekly as a hospice nurse and love seeing the community of residents. They always have activities for them to participate in and it really does feel like one big giant family!

A small facility that focuses on person centered care that is uniquely established on each individual residents needs. The staff are caring and provide a loving family environment under the guidance of Tiffany, their dedicated and caring director of nursing.

Unfortunately this facility is a mess! Bed bugs have infested the facility a couple times. Proper training for staff is really lacking. Residents have received the wrong medication and residents have had their narcotic medication stolen from the nurses. I say “nurses” loosely because there isn’t an actual LPN on site. One resident received a bed sore because of lack of proper care and not wanting to send them out sooner so they can collect the money for having a body in a bed. There are currently residents there who need to be in a NURSING home but aren’t. The ED is highly unprofessional and lies to corporate about where the money for the budget is being spent. All of this has happened in the last 4 months! It may look pretty on social media but remember anything can look good if you ask someone to smile. I know this personally because I was the one taking the photos. If you bring stuff up to upper management they either brush it under the rug or tell you to stay in your own department. They like to advertise as a “family” this isn’t the type of family you want your loved one to be a part of. I am a former employee and finally quit after being reprimanded for bringing up issues among the staff and mangers and being accused of having a list to tell corporate. I was also blocked on social media. They want to keep everything in the dark!

The team at Spring Oak is the best! They always take time to answer questions, encourage and listen to any concerns. Haivng both parents at an assisted living facility can be difficult but hearing, "It will be okay" and "We've got this" really helps on those hard days. Thank you for all you do!

The staff at Spring Oak lovingly took care of our love one when we were unable to do so. Things happen living in a facility that are unavoidable, but our top priority was finding a place that had a caring staff and would show kindness to our love one, even on the hard days. We found that place when we found Spring Oak.

What a breath of Fresh Air. Compared to "Meadows" in Blacksburg this a 5 star facility. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to accommodate our needs. My mother's room is twice the size of the other location and she has her own Bathroom. Plenty of closet space. I have never detected any foul odors while visiting. The staff are constantly interacting with the residents with daily activities. They also seem to enjoy working there. I highly recommend Spring Oaks.

I would give this facility, English Meadows, Christiansburg, VA, and its Director, Chris Grogs, an excellent rating. The staff is polite, always helpful, and provides good care for the residents. Mr Grogs is especially helpful and knowledgeable re this facility and other resources in the community, eg PACE, in planning for the best long term care for each of the residents.
