Willow Creek is a great facility with a growing group of seniors and workers who manage to make the community feel more like a family than a retirement center or typical assisted living center. The staff are professional, friendly and genuinely kind. The facility is immaculately maintained with great attention to detail and offers many different environments and activities for residents to enjoy. We (my son and I) have opportunity to visit with the staff and residents weekly and look forward to these days as a highlight of our week. We have visited and frequented many assisted living centers but Willow Creek has uniquely engraved itself upon our hearts through their kindness towards residents, visitors and throughout their staff. Undoubtedly one of the best communities of its kind. Come and experience it for yourself!

Moms phone went out Sat. Dale and his wife contacted her and told us she was ready for a visit. When we got there, Dale then took us to her room announced us and let us in the room. They are always great but this was outstanding. C Vitasek

We were fortunate to move our Mom down to Willow Creek in February 2019. From the beginning starting with the initial inquiries Glen and Val the managers were extremely patient and straightforward. They made me and my family feel very comfortable. Once we moved our Mom in we were extremely happy and glad to see all that was promised was indeed provided. Then the pandemic hit the north and slowly came to VA. The managers, assistant managers and entire staff were very professional navigating during these unchartered waters. Not one person got Covid during the spring season, which can only speak volumes to the staffs dedication and persistence to adhere to all precautions as advised by CDC and other agencies. I am very happy and feel so comfortable knowing my Mom resides at Willow Creek.The place itself has a clean and cheery atmosphere and provides three well balanced meals for their residents. Prior to the pandemic family and friends were permitted to eat lunch or dinner with residents and the food is very appealing and appetizing as I visited and ate there often especially in the beginning. As a daughter and knowing the time was getting closer to move my mom, I was nervous, scared and worried. I was so wrong. The whole transition of moving my Mom couldnt have gone any smoother. It was seamless. I only hope and wish for anyone reading my review you can experience such a flawless move when taking your loved one to Willow Creek. I assure you this can happen and is possible. I am highly recommending Willow Creek to other sons and daughters who become faced with this decision about their parents.

After given a tour of Willow Creek my mother immediately said Ill take it. WC is the perfect place for her. EVERYONE is kind and friendly. My mother is extremely happy and said I should have moved here years ago. She has made many friends... both female and male - wink wink. She enjoys all the choices of activities to participate in.

Willow creek has proven to be the biggest blessing in our lives for the wonderful place they provide for seniors to live independently. I had to make an emergency relocation of my parents from the West Coast to Chesapeake for health reasons and Willow Creek far exceeded any of our expectations. Glenn, Valerie, Randy and Kathy are amazing administrators and provide a beautiful environment that is both safe and inviting for seniors of all walks of life who are capable of living independently. Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Willow Creek and recommend them to any of our friends or associates who are looking for a place for their elder family members to live. I work here and absolutely love it. If my grandparents lived close, I would, no doubt move them into this beautiful community. Our Residents are happy and safe and Val and Glenn are about the most wonderful people to work with. They take such amazing care of the Residents here and they live on-site! This place is AWESOME. Mom just moved there 2 months ago. The management, staff are loving, kind, helpful, friendly and try their best to help all residents feel at home, respected and valued. I cant begin to describe the beauty of the inside of the building. From the library with dual sided fireplace, plenty of books to read, sofas, windows, TV room with 75 screen, tables set with jigsaw puzzles, pool table, activity room (bingo, games, Wii bowling), full gorgeous kitchen for residents, families to use in preparing family dinners. The apartments range from ( studio, one bedroom, 1bath to 2 bedroom, 2 bath)- some with balconies, most with large windows overlooking nice surroundings. Now let me try to describe the dining experience. Three chef prepared meals are served in a beautiful dining room with cathedral ceiling, chandeliers, linens and china. Breakfast with eggs to order and a specialty each day. Dinner (mid-day) is a 3-4 course meal with an alternate meal provided if todays menu isnt your favorite and the evening supper is a light, soup, salad or lighter meal (with about 8 alternates available also). Mid-day and after supper there is a movie shown in a real theater, with popcorn; and the movie changes daily. There are resident managers on duty to help with questions, concerns all day and 24 hrs (onsite) for quick assistance during emergencies. Rounding out the amenities are weekly housekeeping, handyman on premises and soft serve ice cream available 24 hrs. A facility bus drives residents to physician appointments, shopping and planned outings. Its a family of senior adults living together in luxury accommodations the way they deserve to be living at this time in their lives. Im so glad we discovered Willow Creek.
