This facility is EXTREMELY clean, peaceful and spacious as close to perfection as one could desire. It has the feel of a very high end hotel or resort. It also feels like home. The dining area felt like being at the MGM Grand in Vegas or Maryland. The private dining area was amazing. It was just perfect. I cannot say anyting else but PERFECT. The staff was friendly, caring and beautiful: EVERYBODY. I Felt live genuile love here. The atrium was bright and inviting. I sat in the chapel with one other resident for 30 minutes and talked to the divine in the chapel and feld God inside me and the chapel. The other resident blessed me and left as I continuned my prayers. I did not want to leave after my visit and I could spend the rest of my life at this place and I keep pinching myself to make sure I am awake because this facility is like a dream. First class on EVERY level. 10 stars for this facility. John Alexander

My sister and mom had toured the facility shortly after it opened. My mother was not ready at that time, but liked what she saw. We are now at the point where my mom is ready so my sister and I toured the facility guided by Vance who did an excellent job of sharing all they have to offer to the residents. It was reassuring to see facility renovations ongoing at the time of our visit. Vance led our tour, and it was apparent that he loves his job and does it well; He has a great rapport with the residents. He is pleasant, easy to talk to, thorough, and great with follow-up. We had an opportunity to talk to a few who shared their honest, positive thoughts about Willow Creek. We brought our mom back for the final say and she will soon join the Willow Creek family.

Willow Creek is a caring environment and a lovely community to call home. The staff is very attentive to the residents and the meals are excellent offering a variety of choices. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and friendly everyone was during our tour of Willow Creek. The facility was clean, peaceful, and the staff showed genuine care. The managers were especially informative and helped us understand everything we needed to know about transitioning a family member here.

Wow just wow I took my father here mind you this was the third facility we have been to and he hated the other two and I was thinking this would make the third strike but i was wrong as entering the building I was immediately welcomed by Lindsey such a lovely person she let us have lunch there showed us some apartments (A++++) manager. Then Lindsey introduced us to a young lady named Scarlett and she was extremely excited to tell us all the activities that she does. And then Dennis another manager had my dad smiling which never happens and leaving the parking lot my dad said he wants this place so I guess we will be seeing y’all soon Thanks Jim

My experience so far has been satisfactory. I am starting my third week here and getting to know the staff, residents, activities, etc. The staff and residents made me feel welcome. WC offers almost everything a person my age can feel comfortable with. Right now, it gives me the feeling of being in a large family with kinfolks nearby. I also like my privacy and independence yet having people close by.

My Mother wanted to live closer to the rest of the family in Chesapeake VA, instead of near me in NC in a retirement home. As her guardian and conservator, this is very difficult as my primary way to manage her medical team and oversee her care is mostly by phone. When looking for a place for Mom, the facility has to be gorgeous and clean. As a foodie, good food is just as important! However, the staff has to also be top notch and THEY ARE!!! The management team, Dennis and Lindsey as well as Mauro and Kelly are Rockstars! They genuinely care about the residents, are sharp problem solvers, great communicators, work hard in managing the facility and it shows! I cannot end this review without mentioning the other Rockstars, Ashley, Dexter and April who are just as caring, competent and each are integral part of the dream team! Mom is 88 and if I could keep her here, I will for as long as I can as my trust with this team is priceless! So, Ive hired a private nurse, Jamie who is also an Angel, so as to not have to move her to an Assisted Living where she will just be a number! At Willow Creek, she is blessed with an extended family that I trust! ‘

My mother has been here for about five months. They have bent over backwards to make her feel like family. My brother and sister and I visit many times a week and eat there often. The food is pretty Good and reasonably priced for guest. I feel certain that like all places like this there is a retention problem with employes. It’s not terrible here but they have some. Dave and Heather were great and now moved on. We now have Malcom and Linda as the managers and they are adjusting nicely. They treat everyone so nice, and to their credit sometimes residents can be very challenging! My mother has adjusted quickly and we could not be more happy about that. I would give five stars but they never have chocolate ice cream for us. Just kidding, keep up the great work managers and staff. Sorry, I now have to give five stars since they have added chocolate ice cream. They really do try to make everyone there as happy as they can be!

My mom moved in 2 months ago. The entire staff at Willow Creek (administrative, maintenance, serving, cleaning, activities) has treated her like family since the first day. You can feel the caring atmosphere from the moment you enter the building. Dexter and Ashley have been especially wonderful. Willow Creek is a piece of Heaven right here on Earth.

Our dear mother of age 91 had planned to remain at home for the remainder of her life but a fall suddenly changed all that. She stated that she needed a little more help so my siblings and I went all out to find the best fit for her. We visited a lot of places and chose Willow Creek in Chesapeake VA. Ashley in marketing was quite patient showing us all the room options several times and we had a nice meal in between. Mom loved how open and bright the facility was and how clean everything looked. The managers David and Heather are absolutely fantastic and make mom and the other residents feel welcome and taken care of. Cassandra, Jill and Dexter are also a delight and the five of them along with the entire staff are great. Probably the biggest surprise for us has been how good the food is and the many choices available. It feels like you are in a restaurant and the service is actually better than some of the local places we frequent. I could go on and on with my praise of this retirement community. If you are looking for a great retirement community in the Hampton Roads area, I recommend you tour Willow Creek.

Willow Creek is a great facility with a growing group of seniors and workers who manage to make the community feel more like a family than a retirement center or typical assisted living center. The staff are professional, friendly and genuinely kind. The facility is immaculately maintained with great attention to detail and offers many different environments and activities for residents to enjoy. We (my son and I) have opportunity to visit with the staff and residents weekly and look forward to these days as a highlight of our week. We have visited and frequented many assisted living centers but Willow Creek has uniquely engraved itself upon our hearts through their kindness towards residents, visitors and throughout their staff. Undoubtedly one of the best communities of its kind. Come and experience it for yourself!

We were fortunate to move our Mom down to Willow Creek in February 2019. From the beginning starting with the initial inquiries Glen and Val the managers were extremely patient and straightforward. They made me and my family feel very comfortable. Once we moved our Mom in we were extremely happy and glad to see all that was promised was indeed provided. Then the pandemic hit the north and slowly came to VA. The managers, assistant managers and entire staff were very professional navigating during these unchartered waters. Not one person got Covid during the spring season, which can only speak volumes to the staff’s dedication and persistence to adhere to all precautions as advised by CDC and other agencies. I am very happy and feel so comfortable knowing my Mom resides at Willow Creek.The place itself has a clean and cheery atmosphere and provides three well balanced meals for their residents. Prior to the pandemic family and friends were permitted to eat lunch or dinner with residents and the food is very appealing and appetizing as I visited and ate there often especially in the beginning. As a daughter and knowing the time was getting closer to move my mom, I was nervous, scared and worried. I was so wrong. The whole transition of moving my Mom couldn’t have gone any smoother. It was seamless. I only hope and wish for anyone reading my review you can experience such a flawless move when taking your loved one to Willow Creek. I assure you this can happen and is possible. I am highly recommending Willow Creek to other sons and daughters who become faced with this decision about their parents.

After given a tour of Willow Creek my mother immediately said "I'll take it". WC is the perfect place for her. EVERYONE is kind and friendly. My mother is extremely happy and said " I should have moved here years ago". She has made many friends... both female and male - wink wink. She enjoys all the choices of activities to participate in.

Willow creek has proven to be the biggest blessing in our lives for the wonderful place they provide for seniors to live independently. I had to make an emergency relocation of my parents from the West Coast to Chesapeake for health reasons and Willow Creek far exceeded any of our expectations. Glenn, Valerie, Randy and Kathy are amazing administrators and provide a beautiful environment that is both safe and inviting for seniors of all walks of life who are capable of living independently. Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Willow Creek and recommend them to any of our friends or associates who are looking for a place for their elder family members to live. This place is AWESOME. Mom just moved there 2 months ago. The management/staff are loving, kind, helpful, friendly and try their best to help all residents feel 'at home, respected and valued'. I can't begin to describe the beauty of the inside of the building. From the library with dual sided fireplace, plenty of books to read, sofa's, windows, TV room with 75" screen, tables set with jigsaw puzzles, pool table, activity room (bingo, games, Wii bowling), full gorgeous kitchen for residents/families to use in preparing family dinners. The apartments range from ( studio, one bedroom/1bath to 2 bedroom/2 bath)- some with balconies, most with large windows overlooking nice surroundings. Now let me try to describe the dining experience. Three chef prepared meals are served in a beautiful dining room with cathedral ceiling/chandeliers, linens and china. Breakfast with eggs to order and a specialty each day. Dinner (mid-day) is a 3-4 course meal with an alternate meal provided if today's 'menu' isn't your favorite and the evening supper is a light, soup/salad or lighter meal (with about 8 alternates available also). Mid-day and after supper there is a movie shown in a 'real' theater, with popcorn; and the movie changes daily. There are resident managers on duty to help with questions/concerns all day and 24 hrs (onsite) for quick assistance during emergencies. Rounding out the amenities are weekly housekeeping, handyman on premises and soft serve ice cream available 24 hrs. A facility bus drives residents to physician appointments, shopping and planned outings. It's a family of senior adults living together in luxury accommodations the way they deserve to be living at this time in their lives. I'm so glad we discovered Willow Creek.
