Good evening, to each and everyone. I am Kendrick Turner. My brother is Kenny Turner and stays in this place. He sent me the pictures and I said to me. No, my brother should not live likwith no air. In 2 disappointment, you see, he has something to the window. You see, it has this to the door. This place and I have this. My brother should not live like this. Only thing I can smy. Brother went to the dspecter, Mr. Roberts. The young lady that handled the finance. Those 2 have made it right. Only thing is good about this place is when I got sick. They did come out to help me. But this is not good at all. My brother should not have this at all. And I'm so upset with this place, so I'm sending out the reviews. My brother did not wanna do it. But I took upon myself to do it. I have to give them 3 stars for looking like this. I'm gonna find another place for my brother. And I'm going with him. I believe they're taking advantage of him. That's real talk.

Can't say enough good things about how every member of the staff helped to accommodate moving both my aunt (memory care) and uncle (assisted living) into their facility with only (in case of my uncle) a days notice! The compassion, caring and willingness to work with us was beyond exceptional! I know we made the right choice for our loved ones!!!

The Concierge was happy and so welcoming! In speaking with Residents they enjoyed the community, variety of activities, meals, being able to have their pets, Staff and caring environment! I met families who were visiting and brought in their dogs and children to visit and everyone had wonderful things to say about having their loved ones in the CSL of Charlottesville! I liked that they had options such to choose from: completely independent apartment living, assisted living and memory care! I also liked that in the dining area they have a signature program where they are growing their own plants for healthy food! I felt the Staff were caring, sincere and the company provides a quality care program. I see why they are a long time leader in the senior care industry! I loved the one bedroom apartment for me and my dog! If you're considering a change, look no further! Best wishes in your new home!

Since our mother's passing, the Commonwealth staff has given my sister and me so much love and grace. They have accommodated our requests at every level, doing so with the most caring attitude. Our mother loved her apartment at Commonwealth, and certainly left an indelible impression on residents and staff. We cannot express our gratitude enough for everything Commonwealth staff have done.

My family confidentially place my mother at CSL Charlottesville after her 1.5 yr struggle with dementia. The Administrative Team there could not have been more personal. They were professional AND real. Their dedication was overtly evident. Mom was there a month prior to the recent covid infiltration. My wife and I are RNs of 31 years and had worked in the ICU during the first covid wave for 9 months. We know first hand all the challenges, strain, and harsh realities the labor shortage and this virus brings. We also know what heroes look like. We saw them at CSL! The "We Care" moto was clearly present and in action through their dedication to care for these beautiful residents. Leadership stepped up and stepped in along side the amazing staff. They did their absolute best. My mother did pass during her time there, due to other medical factors. My family could not be more proud of the entire team that stuck it out. No regrets of bringing her there. I could continue for pages with details of our faith in this team. We know the physical and emotional exhaustion they were feeling but they did not show it to the residents or my family. God brought us to CSL, knowing the upcoming situation. It was as an answer to my family's prayer to truly care for mom. AND THEY DID! We are very grateful. I recommend CSL Charlottesville to whomever we can tell.

My brother, the most morose, dour, naturally despondent person I have ever known, absolutely loves being at Commonwealth. Talks about how great the food is all the time, goes on about the facility and the folks every chance he gets. This from a man who self-isolated for the first 50 years of his adulthood. SMH

Don't trust them with your loved one Commonwealth Senior Living promoted its Daily Check-in process to ensure the well-being of all residents yet failed to check on my mother for four days while she lay trapped in her bed. She went four days without food or water, forced to soil herself. I FOUND HER BARELY ALIVE, THE STAFF DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB. Arbitrator in ensuing lawsuit wrote that the incident was one which caused my mom immeasurable injuries, physical pain, mental anguish, humiliation, embarrassment and inconvenience.
