Conscientious, caring and thoughtful are the best ways I can describe my engagement with Senior Helpers. The team has been so respectful and caring toward both of my parents. My mom was diagnosis with Alzheimers after getting very sick from her cancer treatment. This made my dad the primary caregiver for both of them as they wanted to continue to live independently. They were doing fine for a while but after being sheltered in for months on end due to Covid, we noticed a significant decline in my moms cognitive and physical abilities. We decided to try a care giver for a few times a week to give my dad a break and give them one more person to interact with safely. After just two weeks I have noticed my mom is more engaged, chatting and describing her walks with her new friend to me every time I visit. I am so thankful for the Senior Helpers team. They make me feel like I am not alone in this process. They understand the complexities of my mom and dads relationship and how my mom can be her best self. It gives me a sense of relief to know that we have one more ‘member of the family watching out for them.

Senior Helpers providing my mom with nightly personalized help when she was at an Assisted Living Care facility that could not provide that one-on-one care. They provided excellent support and looked out for her welfare which she greatly appreciated. They were attentive, responsive and were there when needed even though it was outside of normal business hours. I would highly recommend them to others in a similar situation.

Bella and her staff came into our family during the last 3 weeks of my Dads life. Not only was Dad well cared for, but he was treated with respect, kindness and love. Bella has an amazing ability to pair case workers with clients, giving everyone the best experience possible during a stressful and emotional time.Not only did they take care of my Dad, but they took care of me, offering support, compassion and hugs whenever needed.When Dad passed away, one of his girls as he called them,(he was always saying to anyone who came in this is my girl or my sweetie) was with him. By the time I got to his apartment, not only was Bella there, but Shannon as well.There are not enough words to describe how much Bella and her staff mean to our family.

Superior care. Very professional, personable, flexible and supportive. Senior Helpers provided the needed care for my mother-in-law with advanced dementia and thus greatly improved her quality of life. Our Helper(s) came three times a week for 4 hours and gave her a thorough shower and helped with hygiene issues; fed her or worked with her to maintain self-feeding skills; stimulated her memory through viewing photo albums with her; and encouraged her to walk more than she wanted to maintain and increase her strength. They also thoroughly cleaned the bathroom, bedroom, living areas, washed- changed her bed sheets and did the laundry. Later, when her husband suddenly became ill and was hospitalized for several weeks, Senior Helpers came to the rescue providing care for 8 hours daily while we were at the hospital. I felt free to leave the home, knowing my mother-in-law was in capable hands. This is such a valuable service for our precious aging population.
